It looks like you may have had some Lilly leaf beetles. They LOVE Asiatic and ornamental lillies. They will do some leaf damage, but more often than not They seem to go straight for the blooms. They burrow in and eat them causing them to rot and fall off

From what I've heard, the lily bulbs will develop more over the first three years, maybe wait until they get more established to compare? I have several types I'm planting, some are in pots far too long b3cause we moved, I hope they get established and I fear the bulbs getting chewed on.

Yes I have definitely noticed this with my bulbs.
They have multiplied extensively in the first 3 years and this year the harvest has been a bit grim.
But still a lot. Plenty of little bulblets.
I would recommend dividing them every year as it will ensure the main parent bulbs have enough space to grow and multiply and are not affected by the nutrients being taken away by numerous tiny bulbs.
Oh yes bulbs getting chewed on is the biggest worry.
I use chicken wire to ensure they are safe .

I have asiatic lilies and we have nasty winters here
    Zone 5 usa 🇺🇸!
    Question 🙋‍♀️!
    How do I store them
Bulbs what can I put them in a baggies with soil? I put them in a dark cool place ?
The first or second year can I multiply them
    ?

Asiatic lilies are very winter hardy. They should do fine in a zone 5 .
I have a detailed video on how to store asiatic lilies , you can watch it to get a better understanding.
      Asiatic lilies multiply very extensively.
Yes they do multiply in the first year too but the bulblets are really tiny. They shall reach a flowering capacity in their 2’nd or 3’rd season.

Zone 5 here, maine coast. I leave my Asiatic bulbs right in the ground and just leave them be. They come back every year for me.

Thanks for your comment, excuse me for the late reply.
I don't do anything specific for the lilies.
I plant them in multipurpose compost and use the all-purpose plant food/ fertiliser whenever I have it. sometimes I don’t use anything when unavailable.
I have a separate video on oriental lily planting please check it.

you sound like vet Lai 😅.., I have a question btw. .. does mouse/rat eats the bulbs too?( I have to protect them if I must.) They had eaten already most of the seeds I planted, I'm afraid they can find the bulbs too.

    • @SanaAsGARDEN

😁 I had no idea who she was, I looked her up and I do kind of sound like her, found my youtube twin I guess😂
yes mouse and rats eats most of the bulbs, they kept eating my tulips, asiatic lilies, crocuses etc. even squirrels like to munch on them.
its just so annoying with these creatures destroying my plantings, I hope it goes well for you.
