I had one of these right after I got out of the service in ‘71. I rode it to work around Shreveport and down to Houston to see my mom and dad every couple of months. Great bike they are fast enough to keep up with traffic, smooth but have a nice sound.
These CB500's are great bikes. Shame the previous owner painted parts of the engine and exhaust black. Would have looked much better if they had left it alone. It sounds pretty good though. Still a nice bike.
Clocks not original. Master cylinder not original. Tank chrome trim missing. Exhaust not original. Passenger handle bar not original. Seat not original.
@@TriguyT110 then someone fitted things from a later model. I also have a 500-k0 and i know. K0s didn't even have a compartment under the seat for the owners manual. The passengers grab handle also comes from a later model. Besides the 500-k0 from 1971, i also own a 550-k0 from 1974 and i know a lot about these bikes

Clocks are different.
The grab handle is different.
Many differences.
VIN is CB500-1027621 built 7/71. 1972 VINs begin CB500-2000001.
