Spot on about a wet rag , always amazes me how many painters don't keep one close at hand . Lot easier to clean up drips , overpaint etc when still wet rather than when dried on.
Thanks Orbitalforest. We appreciate your comments. A wet rag is a painter's best friend. Im amazed at how many painters don't carry rags with them. Hi. Thanks for showing how to paint behind toilet. Question. What do I use to wash walls and ceilings before painting/primer? Can I use just warm water and a wet microfiber towel or do I need to use water with a little dawn dish soap? Thanks
It depends on how dirty it is… usually a damp cloth is good enough but sometimes it takes more. Just reminder to remove any soap residue before painting.
Good question. I’m not sure you really can. They make ‘mohair’ whiz rollers that are pretty skinny so that might work. Other than that, it’s extremely difficult to paint in tight spaces.

A wall sander can sometimes fit behind the toilet. If not, you can either try doing it by hand. And if it’s really tight, you can attach a piece of sand paper to a paint stick and reach like you would if you were scratching your own back!! Painters are so inventive!!
Lots of reasons: 1) dull the shine. Paint sticks better to rough surfaces. 2) removes chunkies and roller lint in between coats 3) removes old drips and imperfections before painting … but most important is because it warms up the wall before you spread the love!!
I was so nervous to do this and watching this video was a lifesaver, thank you!!

How do you paint behind a toilet that’s nearly right up against the wall? 1/2 inch or less
(Without taking out the toilet)
Good question. I’m not sure you really can. They make ‘mohair’ whiz rollers that are pretty skinny so that might work. Other than that, it’s extremely difficult to paint in tight spaces.

Hey, here's an idea. Make a video where you actually apply the paint.
Honestly if you cannot figure out on your own how to paint behind a toilet , put the paint brush down
