Adrian Smith is one of the few artists to DEFINE the Warhammer aesthetic and make it unlike anything else. I'm surprised GW doesn't shell out the dollars to keep him on contract. Thank you for giving him props, really nice homage!
@@OffbeatBuilds If I had the bits and stuff, I'd love to kitbash some Choas space marines to look closer to how the original 1st edition 40k Traitor Marines looked with their weird, grotesque mutations and dark gifts. One guy even had a chainsaw tail!
I REALLY LIKE THE BODY PILE, I MEAN REAALLLY LIKE IT. When I saw it come together like a puzzle piece it just tickled something within me. It's like the one missing piece meme of the guy made out of jigsaw pieces.
I dunno how in the Warp those corpses can holdup what is probably somewhere between 1&2 tons of Astartes Veteran turned Chaos SpaceMarine Lord, but it looks cool
Your videos (and conversions) just get better and better mate, the production on this one is insane! Also helps that you're damn fine at the hobby too!
Yet another absolute banger! Can't wait to see what else you make. I would love to see even more characters, I still remember the Tech marine you made not so long ago. Incredibly inspiring
@@OffbeatBuilds id be awesome to see your take on named characters or other artwork inspired dudes. The one that first comes to mind is the Chaplain on the cover of Angels of Death Codex

This is some amazing video editing, and a really inspired kitbash. Seeing the methods you use for greenstuff modeling and scenery construction has me wanting to try a bunch of new things with my own models 👌
I love your work thats inspired by old warhamer art and models. An amazing but quite possibly difficult build you could do is the monstrous Abominatus, the 'Despoiler of worlds'. Maybe not to a huge size but perhaps of Imperial Knights scale.
Thanks dude, much appreciated. Yeah, lots as it happens! Chaos are, and always have been the faction I'm drawn to the most in the 40K universe. Not sure what's next, need to scratch the "flyer" itch first for the "good guys" ;)
Yeah dude, I've got a new set of obliterators on my list of ideas I'm working though - kinda based on this piece of art: i.pinimg.com/736x/a2/a0/24/a2a024f8e62de7f4ad1cb2a8d9f8afa5.jpg
Those minis aren't being destroyed... He's literally turning them into a model. If he built a cataphractii and some chosen as instructed... All he'd have is a mass produced chunk of plastic that anybody could have. He took pieces and turned them into art
@@August-p9g Art doesn't understand of serial products. No, minis aren't, unfortunately, art. They are serial products even with you destroy 5 or 6 minis to create your "own" marine. @@bullgrim art actually does understand serial production, it's literally just a piece of art reproduced and nauseum. Minis are absolutely art, do you think they're made by a machine? Do you think they're found in nature? You obviously don't have a very developed idea of what art is

Couldn't agree more. Adrian's work pretty much defines how I visualise Chaos in particular.

Insanely good, love seeing models inspired by gorgeous retro artwork
Thanks dude!
Excellent conversion, looks bloody amazing!
Thanks, much appreciated!
Waist Management 😄👍
That corpse pile is very impressive.
Haha, I mean, if you're making a corpse pile, you go all in!
Those're some gloriously nasty gore effects on the corpses in the pile
Haha, thanks. I can't resist the opportunity to turn up the Cartoonish side of Chaos.
That base is spectacular! 👍

The pile of bodies was interesting, the way you did it was great and gave me ideas.
Lovely model! Your videos are so well made and I love watching you work on conversions like this. Cannot wait for the next one!

amazing build and how you did that cape is both simple and genius!

nice to see you doing chaos
coolest base ever
Nice work, mate!

Love this dude
God Adrian smith went hard on that piece
I love 40k because you can justify nearly anything by fudging the lore.
Haha, right?! I love the lore, but it's always been pretty, err, flexible!
I always figured the best kind of 40k lore is made by making something cool and then twisting the lore to justify it.
Minis comes first, then art, then rules, fluff last
Love it man
