@@oneupappl3 ghold got nerfed into the ground. It cant carry anymore. it lost contrary for honey gather, and got egg moves completly changed. which sucks because that was my only lvl 3 shiny, and costs too much to be on the sidelines.
@@ButtersDClown in the middle of a battle when you go to switch your pokemon (after the initial prompt at the beginning of the fight) it lets you unsplice. the other option is waiting for the splicer item but that’s way more rare
@@ButtersDClown you take DNA splicer in the shop, when you select your first mon select a spliced mon, the selection won't work but will then allow you to open the usual selection on that same screen which has the unsplice button, then you can re-elect the splice candidates and it works
For anyone watching this after the update: gholendgo is no longer useable due to passive and egg move changes. Also the azuril’s cost has been increased, so if u bring it, u will be unable to bring a legendary as a carry, even if u reduced all the costs. For this strategy to be viable now, you would want to use snivy with hidden ability contrary and make it rain egg move. Hope this helps anyone!
Snivy is a great pick! You can also bring yamask instead of azurill and your early game carry does not have to be a legendary. I've been bringing gengar (haunter) who costs 2 fully reduced and has consistently carried me to the pivot into DoT setter + Shedinja fusion. If anyone is looking for some inspiration for carries feel free to check my more up to date PokeRogue Carrylist video :)
Thank you for the kind words. I aim to improve the quality of my videos with every video and I think this one meets the standard I am trying to persue :)
Something I just realized watching this. If you use Tapu Fini at the start you get Misty Surge, Soak AND Natures Madness. Wouldn’t you want Tapu Fini instead of a random misty surge setter and random Tapu? It saves a slot to where you can focus more on luck
I like your thinking but You don't want soak on your shedinja and you want to fuse your tapu with shedinja. So you'd still have to catch a soak pokémon for your dot setter. So it doesnt really matter which tapu you take with you :)
I used a similar strat where I had two shedinjas, one was dark ghost and the other was normal ghost and both had leech seed salt cure soak and super fang(later changed one of them to rain dance to deal with iron thorns) The main two issues I encountered were slither wing (due to scrappy) and any paradox boss that is DNA fused with a mold breaker ability, which forced me to get an emergency metal burster twords the end The conversion smeargle strat is very smart and requires a lot less luck and setup, I'm impressed
I always thought that two sheds with different typing and a metal burster were the goat haha. But clearly you can do things more efficiently ^_^. For mold breaker you have gastro acid.
Hey fellow youtuber I love your content and it's been helping me and my subs get far into the game thank you for explaining things so detailed even I learned something today much love!
In that case you can play some more endless with metalburst/comeuppance, or farm candies playing classic with the mons used in this strat :) Good luck!
This is the exact guide i needed! Thank you so much for making this guide!! I've been looking for a way to make endless "easier" so i can get tbose sweet sweet shinies!
Red shiny with 3 charms is crazy. Had 4 charm so many times and never found a red shiny in the wild. Only hatched one from an egg when I first started playing months ago
Instead of waiting for an DNA splicer you could just sketch the needed moves onto smeargle, especially if youre bringing snivy since it learns both gastro acid (via lv up) and dragon tail (via tm) you just need a double battle and some luck, this way you only need 1 dna splicer instead of 3. ( you can also relearn sketch via mushroom lol)
I got me an epic nincada and epic smeargle..can’t wait to get home and watch this and put this to use Gotta set up some runs at 2000+ for the next shiny event for sure
You absolutely can and I should have said this in the guide. You don't really need tapu fini after getting natures madness on smeargle, however you can also use it as your soak fusion, so it would still be two birds with one stone!
Essentially Normalize achieves the same as Conversion. If you're able to set your entire run up before wave 1k that works too, however having wonder guard is the mix makes it a lot safer to reach 5850 :)
Since I lack Smeargle's Prankster right now, I couldn't do that part. For this run, I instead went with the classic: Mega Aggron + Sturdy Garganacl with Metal Burst, Roar, Protect and Salt Cure. But I did have enough for the Azumarill set, and chose Burmy as 6th Pokémon to provide it with Sappy Seed and Protect. And it's an absolute menace in combination with Quick Claws, King's Rocks and Multi-Hits (better than raw damage imo). It can easily solo Eternatus. After Soaking, just spam Sappy Seed for big total damage with tons of Flinches. I think it's more worth taking Sappy Seed over Nature's Madness, even with Smeargle on the Team. Still, this Team is not gonna make it to the end. It has 2 Protect + Salt Cure, no Prankster, and both Aggron and Shedinja currently act more like last resort backup. But it is the first Team that brought me past Wave 1000 and can easily bring me to 2000, so it's good training in preparation for Smeargle.
You don't take sappy seed over nature's madness as your DoT setter gets leech seed, so you're using both. Metal bursting is a fine strat it just takes a lot longer to set up. Where with this strat you can start running away as early as wave 700-800. Good luck with the run friend!
@@Knetterkoekje I mean, Sappy Seed is just better than Leech Seed in every case other than Prankster, right? The only big problem lies in the fact that Sappy Seed is very rare, exclusive to Egg Moves and Eevee, so you basically need to use a slot to use it. But, I can now see it not being worth over Nature's Madness. However, coming back here after finally managing to unlock Smeargle and Pyukumuku's Passive to prepare for a new Run (which is still ongoing, currently just past Wave 2250), I realized 2 things: 1. Tapu Bulu gets both Leech Seed and Nature's Madness and even has Sappy Seed as Egg Move. 2. Can't you use Sketch in Double Battles to give Smeargle the moves it needs instead of Fusing? Here's my current plan: Start with Pyukumuku, Tapu Bulu, Smeargle, Zigzagoon, Nincada and a Carry. Pyukumuku knows Baneful Bunker and Salt Cure by Egg, and learns Soak and Gastro Acid by Level. Tapu Bulu knows Sappy Seed by Egg and learns Nature's Madness by Level. Simply Sketch Gastro Acid and Nature's Madness onto Smeargle, then fuse Tapu Bulu onto Pyukumuku, replacing Gastro Acid with Sappy Seed. All that remains is finding Sturdy for Pyukumuku and Dragon Tail for Smeargle, the only two things not present on the starter Team and the latter also able to be Sketched.
@Robin280497 or why choose? Bring tapu bulu who gets sappy seed AND nature's madness. Have smeargle sketch nature's madness in a double battle and fuse bull to dot user and you got both from the same slot
@@vgpharaoh1344 I mentioned it all in my second comment. :) Since then I actually used it in practice (though with Sentret instead of Zigzagoon because of Shiny Luck), and it works wonders. I even figured out I don't even need to give up Bulu. Simply fuse Nincada into Smeargle and then evolve it to get a second Smeargle, which can Sketch Sappy Seed before being fused into Pyuku. My Pyuku lacks Salt Cure as of now, but Smeargle has it too, so it can give both moves to it, completing the moveset either way, only at the cost of Ninjask. After that, any Sturdy is fine for Pyuku and I can continue to use Bulu as a second Carry.
@Robin280497 interesting. I did that cept I actually found the smeargle ninjask fusion really useful in the late game so I gave up bulk and kept smeajask. See eventually in the late game your damage is irrelevant, but with speed boost and prankster substitute smejask gives you a way to get speed boosts assuredly, as it learns mud slap, mud slap with 4 kings rocks and the multi lens stacks gives it a way to get 4 30% flinches AND 4 acc debuffs all in one turn and then you can use the baton to pass your speed and substitute to other mons which actually was super useful for dealing with random specific shit that counters this setup like say neutralizing gas passive skuntank who would be immune to prankster gastro acid, making sure you're faster vs any mon, passing sub so YOU can't get gastro acid on smeargle etc all while being very convenient in doubles when you wanna catch something as you sleep foes then dragon tail or roar out the one you don't want and will thus not be able to get double targeted to death on your sturdy. Honestly my carry is good enough early on and later smejask ended up more useful to me than the bulu would've been later on
Every moment of this run has been streamed, so feel free to dive into my VODs. There is no speedup tho. A full run even with speedups would be a 3-4 hour video. I don't think many people are waiting for that. Feel free to hop into my streams sometime tho :)
I was hesitant to try this at first since I didn't have enough shiny luck but by optimizing reloads on rerolls I was able to finish the dot setter and smeadinja fusions by wave 600 and get drizzle and damp by round 950 with only 5 luck to begin with
Not bad at all ^_^ so how is the run going after setting that up? I highly advice you to build a team that completes waves with the voucher event tho. Keep in mind that running away means no shop and way less vouchers!
does the multi hit lense really weaken the mon with it? From the description and ingame experience I always thought the following: the first attack does 100% of the normal damage, the following attack 60 or so and it weakens with every hit that came from the multi hit lense But I’m not as experienced as you are so dunno
When I was new to the game this is exactly how I thought it worked untill someone corrected me. It is in fact a big nerf to your overall damage and the best thing is to use it as utility with moves that have an additional benefit. Such as payday, torch song etc.. but even then it's really not that good. The best thing you can do with it is let Eternatus steal it in classic mode to nerf its damage :P
hey so I had a few questions too. I still never found a good shiny of a pick up mon yet but... I was wanting to ask as I gave endless a shot despite a lack of shiny smeargle, pick up/run away or the misty surge dot though my run itself was generous enough to give me a very potent solution to a lot of it in that I found a blue shiny darkrai who I taught the now working substitute, dark void, dark pulse and nasty plot and fused with a vanilluxe I found to get snow warning on it where I used it w/ the baton to pass the substitute to my shedinja fusion to get through. While I lacked a smeargle to do that form and just was NOT finding ruination or nature's madness I did give it super fang, leech seed, salt cure, and infestation. But what I wanted to ask assuming I didn't find that darkrai to help me a lot w/ dealing with double battles how DO you deal with double battles at 3000+? do you just let the other teammates die and have smeargle finish up? Or is there something for that? Or am I already WAY past the point I should be running from everything? If you're curious I DID decide to try out the calyrex shadow as the carry and fusing it with a random florges I had (I know, not hte best mon but it's what I had a red shiny of that was fairy) gave me a fairy/ghost calyrex rider that carried really well. finally became basically useless at 3000 but I mean... for a pure dps it did really well. but I now wonder if there's a better solution for doubles when I don't rng into a perfect mon for that?
Not really, you just need to play around with RNG if the double paradox battle is hard. But usually a DoT setter and smeadinja can deal with it. There are some very very rare scenarios where even a fully build team is not enough. Try taking a tapu pokemon on your starting team the next time :) you can for example easily deal in the early game without a runaway pokemon you can catch that later. Pickup is also not THAT important.
@Knetterkoekje oh I didn't bring it for same reason as some others I just don't have a shiny of one at all. I currently for shinies that fit this have the blue shiny calyrex as a carry who deffo once he gets his reigns gets the job done, red shiny nincada and it seems if yamask is good for the dot from what I saw I have red shiny of him. But I have no shiny at all of smeargle and only 1 star of zigzagoon ofc no shiny tape but it'd not wanna be the shiny given we are gonna sacrifice it. So I've been getting closer but the last 2 need really specific ones. While I suppose you're right I can get a run away mon in the run I can't replace smeargle at all as he's crucial for this. But... I wonder if any other options could be worth using over the run away pick up mon till I get that? Edit: looking through what would you think about blue star aipom? It gets run away and while it lacks pick up it does have population bomb. While it'd not be ready to go right away with the right items that move hits 40x a turn, and would on average be able to steal 20 items a turn, all but assuredly flinch the target and even without technician still do decent damage in the early game to help out the carry in double battles and even help in doubles late game by stun locking a mon so you can dragon tail the other out easier if say a pair of mons all have moves that hit a given type on smeadinja since one mon is incapable of doing that. Would that maybe be a good alternative till I find a pick up mon? also would darkrai be a better carry than calyrex? I have a blue shiny of him now and wanted to know if he'd be a better carry as he seemed definitely more useful in the end game
@@Knetterkoekje As an additional thing i played w/ smeargle and found something you may find useful. In a double battle you can use sketch on a mon on YOUR side of the battle to get that move. so instead of being forced to wait for a dna splicer before you can get rid of tapu, just sketch nature's madness off it and then you can once you find a gastro acid or dragon tail mon release the tapu and replace it w/ that mon and then find another double battle and sketch THAT move using memory mushrooms. it'd cut a LOT of dna splicers out of your early game meaning you only NEED 1 splicer to create the smedinja vs needing at BEST 2 if you find a mon w/ both gastro and dragon tail but probably 3. and not needing the extra master ball rarity items to get going early game sounds like it'd make your set up a LOT easier to pull off a LOT more consistently. on top of that, it'd ALSO mean you could pick tapu fini, have smeargle sketch nature's madness off her, then fuse her to your dot to get soak on them w/ the same mon instead of having to hunt a soak mon so it'd ALSO expedite this part of your strategy at the same time.
Yeah it can be kinda difficult to get all your candy to reduce everything you need to be able to run this strategy. But honestly even the non carry pokémon should be able to finish some waves of classic right :D
Catch the desired pokemon , on the reroll screen use the egg vouchers to open up egg gacha which saves the game , refresh page and continue process until satisfied. This works better on shines which speed up process via 5 , 10 , or 20 candy per attempt and bosses multiply by 2.
The only natures that matter are modest or adamant on whatever you pick as a carry. Modest if its a special attacker like Gholdengo. Azumarill can be adamant as it can serve as a back up in the first 100-200 waves if you need it. All the other natures don't matter at all.
You know I just thought of this, why dont they add an option for showing how many of each heal you can buy by showing the amount of them instead of monetary amount shown? So lets say you have 1,000 money, lets say potions are 50 , full heals are 200 and revives are 500. So instead of late game showing money amounts it shows like 20x potion, 5 full heal 1 revive, like that? I think it would be cool so I dont have to do quick maffs
This would be a cool quality of life option, but I think the devs can spend their time on more important matters for now hehe. Thank you for sharing the idea!
Hey! when you run low on rogue/masterballs you want to catch or kill to farm up the balls. Ideally you farm them up before you start running away. The shedinja fusion is a great mon to switch into to catch pokémon with rogue balls and then farm up masterballs this way :)
Great guide, but by the time you have all the requirements, you should already know how to run Endless. I would love to see a guide for new players to Pokerogue.
The first endless guide is meant for people heading into endless for the first time. Did that video not suffice? I talk about that in this video too and highly advice to watch that first if you're ''new''.
Well rather late than never right haha, also what do you mean wrong. The only thing that matters is that you're having fun and if you're having fun you're doing it right :D
@@Knetterkoekje I kinda just meant in terms of team comp. I also have not been using splicers anywhere near optimally. I've also been using a ton of candies for reducing cost rather than trying to get passives. I keep wondering why I'm struggling lol
i just thought of something in terms of a DoT setter, wouldnt a pokemon with the comatose passive also be equally effective as a mon with purifying salt or misty terrain?
Hey thats a very interesting idea! On paper it should be able to deal with all status tokens / effects too, so I would say yes unless I'm missing something :P. The problem is that the pokemon that get comatose are very few Quagsire, Jirachi and Komola and they don't really offer anything else. Great spot tho!
@@Knetterkoekje yeah, I thought about how few pokemon probably had it after the comment. My main idea with it was that it might give another option if you have better shinies in that direction
Any advice for farming candies for the pokemon mentioned in the vid. I normally don't use these types of pokemon. Even though I use Zigzagoon, it is just used as a pickup and not much for battles. I have been trying to get a good endless run and I think that your guide would help alot. I just do not have all the necessary pokemon capacities and shiny luck.
Yeah just bring the ones you need upgrades for on an endless run and use them as your carry to get to wave ~1000. Pick up soothe bells and this should net you enough candy.
What I did was to pick a strong carry for endless which can solo everything (Primal Kyogre with maxed out IVs) and use Lures to max out exp. Give the Soothball to the mon you want to have candies and feed it with rare candies and use it as second in double battles. So you can rely on a strong carry :)
Thank you so much for these videos! They're entertaining and you do a great job explaining everything for boomers like me lol. One question, is this worth doing if I can only reach a max of 6 shiny luck with my starting team? Or should I just grind endless to about 2k or so until I can start with a higher luck? Thanks again!
The DoT setter is neccesary for higher endless levels to be able to outdamage to recovery tokens with your nature's madness. You also don't require to level your mons at all and you need no candy jars so you can start running away a lot earlier than with metal burst and thus hunt shinies faster.
@@Knetterkoekje all egg vouchers stop appearing in all modes after the three rerolls actually. That's what I pointed out, and it didn't seem too clear for me so I tried helping out some comment dwellers. My bad if I actually missed that instead.
Thanks for such an informative video! I learned a lot I currently am only able to have 7 shiny points with this current build. Would you recommend using the metal burst strategy until I can get at least 10 using these pokemon? Thank you!
You can also try to replace one of the mons such as tapu with an epic shiny to bump it up to 10 luck and then use superfang or ruination if you don't run into a tapu pokemon during your run :) Good luck and glad the guide helped!
Works as well, but not as solid as d tail and nature's madness, gastro acid is already on the movepool of smeadinja. Worry seed has no use in the build. Sappy seed would be able to replace leech seed on the DoT pokemon tho.
If you would use Spinarak instead of Smeargle, you'd end up with a final fusion thats bug/ghost. What moveset would you put on that (since it will have different weaknesses then your normal ghost fusion)?
Moves that can change you into a type that covers all weaknesses of bug/ghost. Fortunately the exact same move-set should work. Being able to convert into a dragon, fairy and poison type on top of your base bug/ghost typing should work too :)
Why did you have to wait for DNA splicers to fuse Nature's Madness to Smeargle? Couldn't you just use Memory Mushroom anytime to teach Smeargle Sketch and then use it in double battle to Sketch the Nature's Madness from Tapu Lele (once it has learned it at lv 55) to Smeargle?
Thats a very interesting take! But that would not give you the free party spot that is required for the fusions that come after. Smart thinking tho I love it!
Hey! You can try to set up a metal burster which is explained in the guide I refer to in this video. Good luck and have fun with Endless Mode :) My initial endless guide: th-cam.com/video/Np-iRB_3ueM/w-d-xo.html
Amazing guide, I’ve been using this for a while now and I’m on floor 3100 but the iron thorns has sand stream and the move sandstorm, I heave drought ability
Open the fight with your drought mon to override the sandstorm, switch out turn one so you can keep the drought mon to override the weather again if neccesary. Then find RNG where it doesnt use the move and you can beat the boss. Also glad the guide helped you!
Well this was enlightening. Question though... how do i get shinies before i have all these specific mons as shinies? Cuz right now my only red stars are turtwig and flabebe. I certainly dont have enough shinies to get 14 star luck from the get go or even the 10 wanted here especially not with the mons needed. I have a 2 star shiny calyrex but dont have the horses yet to get his reigns to make him a useful mon either
Is there an easy way to deal with Weezing/Skuntank with Neutralizing Gas? I would normally just Gastro Acid with Smeadinja, but they break through Prankster and Wonder Guard and attack first and kill me. Don’t really like the idea of HAVING to waste Master Balls on them whenever I encounter this. I also thought that having a Mold Breaker mon fused with your Run Away mon would work, seeing as I had a M. Gyarados in on a double battle against 2 Musharna with N. Gas, and it let me flee no problem. So idk
Mold breaker run away is smart, that should work I think! But yeah unfortunately either using dragon tail / roar and catching one if its a double neurtalizing gas battle is the best thing you can do. I feel how it can be a waste of a masterball, but you shouldnt run into double gas bosses all that often so that one time is not too bad is it :D?
Its decent still, takes a lot longer to evolve now (you need to collect 10 money items with it alive in your party). You also really want the rare egg move astral barrage. If you have that its still decent, not the best.
Thank you! You can see the shiny variants, after the recent update you need to select the shiny sprite you want in the starter select screen and it will memorize it. You can also use a rare shiny sprite with 3 luck if you have the epic but you like the normal shiny better :)
are they normal pokeballs? if you have an open slot and normal pokeballs nincada should always evolve into both Ninjask and Shedinja if not your run might be bugged somehow friend :(
The lock capsule is a rogue ball tier item that lets you lock your rerolls (so if you have a masterball tier it will reroll into another masterball tier item after locking and rerolling, as opposed to becoming a random tier after rerolling). Hope this clears it up :)
@@Knetterkoekje my kartana with Razor Leaf, a butt load of proteins and carbos and multi lens in my bag 🗿 Btw, I liked the video, because of it I added salt cure and soak to my Mega Sableye
Absolutely everything in the guide is relevant, except for Gholdengo. That mon lost contrary so it can no longer spam Make it rain. I will make a video with a list of alternatives :)
I’m curious you are making things way harder then necessary with amount of dna splicer when one of the big draws to smeargle is having sketch allowing it to copy moves. You were emphasizing that you needed the dna splicer for natures madness on the smeargle but you could just drop the useless egg moves and learn all sketch and learn teammate moves with sketch in double battle this could be done for the whole move set on the smeargle. Also why not leave smeargle shidinja for after dot setter and then fuse the nincada to smeargle so when evolve you get another smeargle who can learn any move without splice and has prankster passive so useful utility plus if your smeargle and nincada are shiny you get a temporary boost
It can't be done for the whole moveset of smeargle as you cannot Sketch more than 3 moves. Yes I forgot to mention the utility of sketch my mistake. This has been pointed out several times before by other people, but thank you for your concern. A double smeargle is not going to do much for you, but I love the idea haha. If you can't bring all assets in your starting party you will have to catch some mons along the way, hence splicing early is a must so you have a free party slot to pick up whatever puzzle piece you need.
Hey i have few question, i just finished the classic mod, i'm not going to do this now, but how do i unfuse my pokemons ? And i dont really understand how the keeping moves after fusion works (i got dna splicer only one Time in classic, i fused my zigzagoon with the stage 1 of corvalius, because i had nothing it was wave 10 or something lol) and when you unfuse, the second pokemon flee ?? And how to just release pokemon i dont find it .-. sorry for all the question i might be dumb, and sorry if my english is bad too
You lose the second pokemon upon unfusing yes. I highly advice you to check the wiki for every single fusion detail: wiki.pokerogue.net/ - Good luck hope that clears things up and don't worry about your English. It's fine :)
They changed how it works, now you have to collect 10 items that give money with ghimmi alive in your party to evolve. Before this you just needed to complete 9 waves with it and you'd max out its friendship for the evo. It became a lot tougher to get on the board and it also lost contrary so make it rain is pretty much useless. Not the best carry anymore. If you want some inspiration for pokerogue endless mode carries I recommend my Carrylist video :)
is this team build still work in new patch right now? im already build this team, and now im in floor 700, i worried if they change eternatus skill and add flamethrower😢
There are different types of pokeballs. Pokeball being the lowest catch rate and you start a run with 5 of those. Make sure you have the basic pokeball specifically cuz Shedinja does not like to evolve into any other ball (it won't work with anything other than a pokeball).
You want to either kill or catch the pokémon with neutralizing gas and if its a double battle with 2x gas, try to dragon tail away one of the two pokémon with gas. With both your DoT setter and Shedinja fusion in play it should be easy to deal with them, if you run into this when you're not ready for it it can be an issue. You can also use gastro acid to deal with neutralizing gas. Hope this helps!

What egg machine would you recommend using in order to get closer to use this strat? I dont have any of the Pokemon as a shiny except for the pickup/run away mon
Go for the shiny up machine, regardless of which strat you'd like to do if you're starting out with your collection :) Good luck with the egg hatching friend! May you find a ton of shiny pokemon.
Oh my lord. That made me realise timestamps are not active for this video. Im pretty sure Ive added that something must have gone wrong wow. Thank you for making me realise!
Wait is that a PokeRogue specific thing? I never heard of the move and apparently no pokémon is supposed to learn it and it can only be used via Metronome from gen 9 and onwards. Also doesn't show on the pokerogue dex website: ydarissep.github.io/PokeRogue-Pokedex/?species=SPECIES_SHEDINJA&table=speciesTable&input=shedinja&
maybe u can do a picture with the most importants things and put in the end of the video or something because if someone haven't got enough time to see... It's frustrating
Well, heres the thing. Pretty much anything discussed in the video is important and informative, not a lot of flavour text was added. I do have a 15 page written guide if that is more your cup of tea. You can find it in our Discord (I will upload it publically when finished, its a bit messy still).
My understanding is that the only difference is type invulnerabilities. With dragon tail you can hit ghosts, roar can hit fairy types. I like to try to have one of each but I build differently than this video’s setup. Edit: Using soak of course changes the type and both roar and dragon tail can hit water types.
We take dragon tail as our ''kick out pokémon we dont want to catch in double battles'' move because its the dragon type and we want to be able to convert into a dragon type with conversion. You can use roar, but you'd have one less type to convert into and thus you're more vulnerable.
Am I crazy or wouldn’t a shedinja with its passive (magic guard) fused with any Pokémon with study as a normal ability be unkillable? Then just give it salt cure, soak, leech seed and like fire spin to kill all the bosses.
@@Knetterkoekje magic guard, study and 1 hp would tho. You’ll get it. Get brought down to study but then still be full hp as shedinja has hardcoded 1 hp as max so you’ll never take damage from a direct move. Hey I actually have a written guide available in our Discord server. I need to clean it up a bit and then ill post it as a public google doc, but for now it can be found there :)
Its not neccesarily ''better'' its more efficient because you will be able to finish an endless run faster than with metal burst + poison heal, and you're less volnerable to certain scary double paradox / fused battles.
@@DiogoFerreira-zu1ce Yeah it requires some thought and effort. Metal burst poison heal is a lot more braindead and chill, so I guess thats convenience as well haha :) You should play however you want to friend!

@@ivascuvictor1589 awesome thanks!!
Best guide I've seen on this game. Love the editing :D
Probably the best PR guide on YT or even the best PR channel.
Big ups man
For anyone watching this after the update: gholendgo is no longer useable due to passive and egg move changes.
Keep an eye out for the new item scope lens, i think they will be very useful for mid game endless to break thru enemy stat boosts
i got it recently and wondered if there was an update
I found it yesterday in my randomized mono ice type challenge run, I can say that it is indeed a very powerful item :D
I will certainly be using this when I finish collecting all the ribbons and achievements.
Fantastic guide and love your vids so keep it up! :)
Thank you for the kind words! And good luck have fun with the build once you get to it friend :)
great guide knetter! super underrated stuff. Editing is great!
@@Knetterkoekje Edit: Never mind. I forgot that Fini's Surge is its Ability, not its Passive. XD
I used a similar strat where I had two shedinjas, one was dark ghost and the other was normal ghost and both had leech seed salt cure soak and super fang(later changed one of them to rain dance to deal with iron thorns)
The main two issues I encountered were slither wing (due to scrappy) and any paradox boss that is DNA fused with a mold breaker ability, which forced me to get an emergency metal burster twords the end
The conversion smeargle strat is very smart and requires a lot less luck and setup, I'm impressed
Don’t think my account is far enough along to try this yet, but I’ll keep it in mind when I’m super rich in candy resources. Great guide!

Red shiny with 3 charms is crazy. Had 4 charm so many times and never found a red shiny in the wild. Only hatched one from an egg when I first started playing months ago
4 shiny charms is something you will have on every single endless run once you get comfortable with the mode and how to play it :)
I checked and wasn't subscribed!!! I really thought I was. Ty for reminding us to subscribe XD. Also Ty for making this video it was really helpful
Haha I gotchu, glad you liked it and stay tuned for the next one :)
I got me an epic nincada and epic smeargle..can’t wait to get home and watch this and put this to use
Gotta set up some runs at 2000+ for the next shiny event for sure
Thats amazing! Good luck with setting up the run and happy shiny farming :)
Thank you very much for that. Love it! Gotta unlock a few passives now i guess.
My pleasure! Good luck farming the candies ^_^
Probably u can use sketch on your tapu to get nature madness so if u pick tapu fini u can use him as misty terrain and save a slot
You absolutely can and I should have said this in the guide. You don't really need tapu fini after getting natures madness on smeargle, however you can also use it as your soak fusion, so it would still be two birds with one stone!
is there any reason to use the smeargle conversion stuff over the squirtle/skitty with entrainment and sturdy/normalize?
Essentially Normalize achieves the same as Conversion. If you're able to set your entire run up before wave 1k that works too, however having wonder guard is the mix makes it a lot safer to reach 5850 :)
Since I lack Smeargle's Prankster right now, I couldn't do that part. For this run, I instead went with the classic:
Mega Aggron + Sturdy Garganacl with Metal Burst, Roar, Protect and Salt Cure.
However, coming back here after finally managing to unlock Smeargle and Pyukumuku's Passive to prepare for a new Run (which is still ongoing, currently just past Wave 2250), I realized 2 things:
1. Tapu Bulu gets both Leech Seed and Nature's Madness and even has Sappy Seed as Egg Move.
2. Can't you use Sketch in Double Battles to give Smeargle the moves it needs instead of Fusing?
Here's my current plan:
Start with Pyukumuku, Tapu Bulu, Smeargle, Zigzagoon, Nincada and a Carry.
Since then I actually used it in practice (though with Sentret instead of Zigzagoon because of Shiny Luck), and it works wonders.
Honestly my carry is good enough early on and later smejask ended up more useful to me than the bulu would've been later on
Will try this in my next run!
Awesome :) Have fun Matt!
Opinion on tinkaton as a carry it’s slow at start but with enough skill the second u get to fully evolved its perfect type and great stats
Great carry ^_^
I would have wanted to see a complete run with this tactic since the start, so like uncut/only sped up
Every moment of this run has been streamed, so feel free to dive into my VODs.
Lmao the Azumarill has such a funny animation it looks so happy to be alive😂😂😂
Haha true!! I love Azumarill's design so much, that mon does put a smile on my face :)
does the multi hit lense really weaken the mon with it? From the description and ingame experience I always thought the following: the first attack does 100% of the normal damage, the following attack 60 or so and it weakens with every hit that came from the multi hit lense
But I’m not as experienced as you are so dunno
It weakens every hit the same amount, with 1 both hits hit for 40% of their normal amount for a total of 80%
When I was new to the game this is exactly how I thought it worked untill someone corrected me. It is in fact a big nerf to your overall damage and the best thing is to use it as utility with moves that have an additional benefit. Such as payday, torch song etc.. but even then it's really not that good. The best thing you can do with it is let Eternatus steal it in classic mode to nerf its damage :P
@@Knetterkoekje ok that’s sad
hey so I had a few questions too.
I just wish there was an easy way to grind candy on non-carry Pokémon
Yeah it can be kinda difficult to get all your candy to reduce everything you need to be able to run this strategy. But honestly even the non carry pokémon should be able to finish some waves of classic right :D
Catch the desired pokemon , on the reroll screen use the egg vouchers to open up egg gacha which saves the game , refresh page and continue process until satisfied. This works better on shines which speed up process via 5 , 10 , or 20 candy per attempt and bosses multiply by 2.
@@MrDoAnything-r4m sadly they patched that :(
I wonder why you would even take the flame/toxic orb?
Remove it from the item pool so it no longer shows up and you get easier max lures / reviver seeds :)
What natures do you recommend for the pokemon used??
Hello, i jus started the game and i saw the 1st 3 mins one thing come to mind if you just running away where do you get all them masterball?
Hey! when you run low on rogue/masterballs you want to catch or kill to farm up the balls.

@@Knetterkoekje thanks 🙏
What I did was to pick a strong carry for endless which can solo everything (Primal Kyogre with maxed out IVs) and use Lures to max out exp. Give the Soothball to the mon you want to have candies and feed it with rare candies and use it as second in double battles. So you can rely on a strong carry :)
Great guide king💙
Thank you so much for these videos! They're entertaining and you do a great job explaining everything for boomers like me lol. One question, is this worth doing if I can only reach a max of 6 shiny luck with my starting team? Or should I just grind endless to about 2k or so until I can start with a higher luck? Thanks again!
Thanks for the guide. I have a question: Why did you choose DoT rather than metal burst? What are the pros and cons of them?
The DoT setter is neccesary for higher endless levels to be able to outdamage to recovery tokens with your nature's madness. You also don't require to level your mons at all and you need no candy jars so you can start running away a lot earlier than with metal burst and thus hunt shinies faster.
@@Knetterkoekje I got it. Thank you❤
Note: Egg Vouchers stop appearing AFTER REROLLING THRICE.
If this was not clear, my mistake. But yes 3 times is the max rerolls for 5 pull vouchers to appear in endless.
@@Knetterkoekje all egg vouchers stop appearing in all modes after the three rerolls actually. That's what I pointed out, and it didn't seem too clear for me so I tried helping out some comment dwellers. My bad if I actually missed that instead.
Thanks for such an informative video! I learned a lot
I currently am only able to have 7 shiny points with this current build.
Does super fang work any differently from nature’s madness?
Nope super fang and ruination work as well, but we want nature's madness to be able to convert our shedinja into a fairy type :)
Question is Smeadninja be used with Ruination instead of nature's madness. and roar instead of dtail
also with gastro acid indtead of worry seed
Works as well, but not as solid as d tail and nature's madness, gastro acid is already on the movepool of smeadinja. Worry seed has no use in the build. Sappy seed would be able to replace leech seed on the DoT pokemon tho.
If you would use Spinarak instead of Smeargle, you'd end up with a final fusion thats bug/ghost. What moveset would you put on that (since it will have different weaknesses then your normal ghost fusion)?
Moves that can change you into a type that covers all weaknesses of bug/ghost. Fortunately the exact same move-set should work. Being able to convert into a dragon, fairy and poison type on top of your base bug/ghost typing should work too :)
for endless is it better to use the 10% zygarde or the 50% one ?
Bigger number is better :)
@@Knetterkoekje thx bro
Why did you have to wait for DNA splicers to fuse Nature's Madness to Smeargle? Couldn't you just use Memory Mushroom anytime to teach Smeargle Sketch and then use it in double battle to Sketch the Nature's Madness from Tapu Lele (once it has learned it at lv 55) to Smeargle?
That's dangerous though
Thats a very interesting take! But that would not give you the free party spot that is required for the fusions that come after. Smart thinking tho I love it!
As someone who finished classic yesterday, i think ill try using over 10 luck cause I don’t have pokemon to replicate your lineup.

Amazing guide, I’ve been using this for a while now and I’m on floor 3100 but the iron thorns has sand stream and the move sandstorm, I heave drought ability
What should I do?
Open the fight with your drought mon to override the sandstorm, switch out turn one so you can keep the drought mon to override the weather again if neccesary. Then find RNG where it doesnt use the move and you can beat the boss. Also glad the guide helped you!
@@Knetterkoekje managed to beat it, now back to shiny grinding
You can also bring a rock sturdy Mon as the DOT setter to take advantage of mons like those
Well this was enlightening.

Is gimmghoul still a good carry after nerf i have a rare shiny of it
Its decent still, takes a lot longer to evolve now (you need to collect 10 money items with it alive in your party). You also really want the rare egg move astral barrage. If you have that its still decent, not the best.
@@Knetterkoekje what would you recommend?

Hi! I have an open party slot and pokeballs but nincada keeps going to ninjask and not shedinja?? Any help appreciated thanks!

11:07 what is a lub capsule not being mean I don't know what you are saying
The lock capsule is a rogue ball tier item that lets you lock your rerolls (so if you have a masterball tier it will reroll into another masterball tier item after locking and rerolling, as opposed to becoming a random tier after rerolling). Hope this clears it up :)

@@Knetterkoekje thanks you ! Have a good day 💪
Any advice for getting candies on smeargle? It's obviously a terrible pokemon overall so getting to 40 candies through KOs is incredibly unfun
Fuse it with a strong carry and slap some waves in endless mode :)
How does your gimmighoul evolve so early
They changed how it works, now you have to collect 10 items that give money with ghimmi alive in your party to evolve. Before this you just needed to complete 9 waves with it and you'd max out its friendship for the evo. It became a lot tougher to get on the board and it also lost contrary so make it rain is pretty much useless. Not the best carry anymore. If you want some inspiration for pokerogue endless mode carries I recommend my Carrylist video :)
is this team build still work in new patch right now? im already build this team, and now im in floor 700, i worried if they change eternatus skill and add flamethrower😢
What portion of the guide did you see where we are building a team that can't deal with flamethrower haha? Everything still works yes :)
I’m confused maybe I’m just being slow, but I’m trying to figure out what you mean when you say normal Poké ball available
There are different types of pokeballs. Pokeball being the lowest catch rate and you start a run with 5 of those. Make sure you have the basic pokeball specifically cuz Shedinja does not like to evolve into any other ball (it won't work with anything other than a pokeball).
@@Knetterkoekje thank you so much
Noice smeargle and shedinja combo but i feel like the gholdengo kinda fall off late game also is snivy a good alt for gholdengo because if contrary?
late game?? you dont use goldhengo after wave 700 and start running away, the f are you on>
The idea is to not use your Gholdengo anymore once you're set up around wave 1000.
how can i deal with neutralising gas with this setup?
You want to either kill or catch the pokémon with neutralizing gas and if its a double battle with 2x gas, try to dragon tail away one of the two pokémon with gas. With both your DoT setter and Shedinja fusion in play it should be easy to deal with them, if you run into this when you're not ready for it it can be an issue. You can also use gastro acid to deal with neutralizing gas. Hope this helps!
@@Knetterkoekje ty legend , also i ve been using charizard y as a carry and it works rly well having heat wave for double battles , he also has drought + dragon tail for smeargle to use sketch on , skipping a splice and not having to worry about finding drizzle or drought
and he also has beast boost to sweep even easier
Gholdengo isn't valid anymore :/ What can be used now?
I have a list of replacements on our Discord server, but I am going to make a dedicated video for this. Stay tuned friend :)
Tips on getting smeargle candy?
Fuse it to your carry start an endless run and farm up :)
does this guide still work after the newest update, plz dont tell me i watched this entire thing for no reason. dont get me wrongit was entertaining but good god lol
Everything is still relevant and working, in fact even easier with the starter cost changes :) Feel free to also check my most recent carrylist video. The only thing that changed is the Gholdengo is no longer the goat.
What egg machine would you recommend using in order to get closer to use this strat? I dont have any of the Pokemon as a shiny except for the pickup/run away mon
Primal palkia is my carry, should I aim for something better, for now it's been doing very well.
Go for the shiny up machine, regardless of which strat you'd like to do if you're starting out with your collection :) Good luck with the egg hatching friend! May you find a ton of shiny pokemon.
9:51 saving for myself
Oh my lord. That made me realise timestamps are not active for this video. Im pretty sure Ive added that something must have gone wrong wow. Thank you for making me realise!
How do you get your moves to show super effective and stuff like that on your moves list
I answered this question. Settings > Display > Type Hints: Yes.
Wanna know something illegal?
Shedinja learns burn up
Wait is that a PokeRogue specific thing? I never heard of the move and apparently no pokémon is supposed to learn it and it can only be used via Metronome from gen 9 and onwards. Also doesn't show on the pokerogue dex website: ydarissep.github.io/PokeRogue-Pokedex/?species=SPECIES_SHEDINJA&table=speciesTable&input=shedinja&
Description refers to Drought as Damp
Great spot, thank you for the feedback :) changed it!
@@Knetterkoekje You're welcome :)
Emm I’m on wave 500 and just realise that I forgot to put conversion on smeargle what do I do
Start a new run. You can't get conversion through TMs as its an egg move.
bedankt knetterkoekje
Geen probleem, hoop dat het heeft geholpen :)
maybe u can do a picture with the most importants things and put in the end of the video or something because if someone haven't got enough time to see... It's frustrating
Well, heres the thing. Pretty much anything discussed in the video is important and informative, not a lot of flavour text was added. I do have a 15 page written guide if that is more your cup of tea. You can find it in our Discord (I will upload it publically when finished, its a bit messy still).
@@Knetterkoekjein what channel there is the guide? i cant find it
rip gholdengo, i joined too late.
You did not, there are plenty of great alternatives :) feel free to check my carry list video friend. And welcome to PokeRogue!
You could try contrary Snivy once you get it's egg move make it rain
Is this still working?
Is it ok to use roar or other similar move instead of dragon tail?
My understanding is that the only difference is type invulnerabilities. With dragon tail you can hit ghosts, roar can hit fairy types. I like to try to have one of each but I build differently than this video’s setup.
Edit: Using soak of course changes the type and both roar and dragon tail can hit water types.
We take dragon tail as our ''kick out pokémon we dont want to catch in double battles'' move because its the dragon type and we want to be able to convert into a dragon type with conversion. You can use roar, but you'd have one less type to convert into and thus you're more vulnerable.
@@Knetterkoekje ah! Very cool, I hadn’t made that connection.
Okay, why does the Excadrill look like the cups I drank out of as a kid....
Haha do you mean those little white plastic cups?
@@Knetterkoekje They are called Jazz Cups (Jazz is the name of the design)
Am I crazy or wouldn’t a shedinja with its passive (magic guard) fused with any Pokémon with study as a normal ability be unkillable? Then just give it salt cure, soak, leech seed and like fire spin to kill all the bosses.
Magic Guard and Sturdy do not make a pokemon invincible at all. No idea why you'd think that.
@@Knetterkoekje magic guard, study and 1 hp would tho. You’ll get it. Get brought down to study but then still be full hp as shedinja has hardcoded 1 hp as max so you’ll never take damage from a direct move. Then magic guard will make sure you can’t take any damage from status moves, leech seed or weather. What would be able to kill you then?
@@regonk5118 1hp comes from Wonder Guard not Magic Guard, and sturdy and wonder guard don't work together.
Can someone do a written guide on this video? Thank you.
Hey I actually have a written guide available in our Discord server. I need to clean it up a bit and then ill post it as a public google doc, but for now it can be found there :)
I don't get how is this better then metal burst+poison heal tho
Its not neccesarily ''better'' its more efficient because you will be able to finish an endless run faster than with metal burst + poison heal, and you're less volnerable to certain scary double paradox / fused battles.
@@Knetterkoekje alright is just to much for me
@@DiogoFerreira-zu1ce Yeah it requires some thought and effort. Metal burst poison heal is a lot more braindead and chill, so I guess thats convenience as well haha :) You should play however you want to friend!
Anyone know if this works with ruination over misty madness?
you can use ruination instead of natures madness, but its way safer to be able to convert into fairy type :)
How do you cancel evolutions?
It's explained in the video. Spam B > Pause evolution: YES.
how do you get the stuff that shows supper effective or not?
It's in the settings
Settings > Display > Type hints: YES
We shouldn’t be taking multi lense? I always thought it was helpful good to know thank you
You can absolutely take it. You don't deal less damage.
@@olivergro7105 Could you give me the item description of the multi-lense please?
You can take it on a flinch pokémon or a pokémon that has payday to get a ton of money with it, but other than some niche uses its generally a trap. No problem :)
Why do you use soak?
More damage with salt cure I believe
@@o0GaSMaN0o forgot about that

Hi
RIP youtube said this is pkmn s/v
As someone who finished classic yesterday, i think ill try using over 10 luck cause I don’t have pokemon to replicate your lineup.
Good luck farming the pokemon you need for the strategy! :)
Does Prism Armor work with Wonder Guard to make a pokemon immune to all moves?
