Proper legend you are Jon , I love all your content and tips and on your own Facebook channel you always reply and help with tips which I really appreciate because not everyone are in a position to pay a monthly fee and i have noticed other channels only reply to paid members which really gets my back up , You are my favourite angler and i wish you nothing but success in all the big matches you really deserve it cos your such a nice bloke and you really deserve it in my eyes cos your always there to help and not up your own arse like some anglers , Come on Jon your the man , Your gonna win Maver you can do this !!!!!
Well done John really enjoyed your video slowly but surely working your peg out ,rotating swims deffo seem to work 👍. Top angler ,amazed at how you ring the changes so quickly. Good luck in your big matches.
Well done Jon master class on pole fishing, if you had of court two of them big one's you would of won the match 🤔Thank you Jon and Matrix brilliant video, ❤
Thanks matrix 👍 excellent match well done to John Arthur 👏
Corn over micros and dead reds and ground bait. Brilliant video as usual Jon, really liked the camera angle in front of you, great result mate, class act 👍🐟🐟🙂
Well done Jon. Them fish were supercharged and weren’t for being rushed. Class act as usual. Thanks
Micros and 4mils well soaked
With 8mm
hard or 6mm exspander over the top.
Great vid yet again Jon
Best one you’ve done with John up to now
Making fishery is one good fishery
Green Swimstim, fairly wet, with meat over the top. Had 17 carp (5-8lbs) in last 80 mins. Great video as always👍🏻
Well done jon , 👏 you make it look so easy !! , I use banded hard pellets , most of the time plus ì feed corn over the top as well , just to get them hunting around, & hopefully they find my baite next ... 😀 but I do struggle, sometimes mid afternoon, but they do come back, late afternoon,
But once again, well done on the match , & third overall ...
My go to is Sonubaits super crush power scopex with a few micros thrown in, and corn on the hook.
Nice match Jon, well fished and thanks Matrix for great footage 👍
Yes great camera angles Jon…..so more Interesting……great content
Great video Jon as always top fisherman always changing rigs and setups a very active fisherman it it shows by winning most times.. what a nice looking place to fish 🐟 keep up your videos and catching all them fish 🐟 well done jon 👍
Thanks 👍
My go to margin tactics is normally over wetted Sonubaits groundbait with just a single grain of corn over the top fished this at Peatling pools on a club match and won my lake and came 3rd overall as it was across two lakes, and had 3rd on an open few days before at Holly Farm great days fishing if you get it right. I use same style at Makins when i have a pleasure session there or micros and corn if things slow down.
Brilliant video jon and great commentary. Well done picking a envelope up theres one thin about it you don't need to go to the gym fishing there every week tight lines🎣👍
Hi Jon, Really enjoyed your video of this Match. Well done on your catch and 3rd place overall finish. Best regards, Wayne 😀👍
Margin go to would be corn over micros.Great video John.
Micros and 6mm expander. Well done Jon, top angling.
Great video as usual Jon really enjoyed it good fighting fish and not far away from winning those lost fish.🎣🎣
Glad you enjoyed it
Your just class Jon them fish are charged up......but for fishing down the edge it's either corn worms over groundbait sometimes dead reds
Top video john keep them coming 👍
Keep inspiring everyone in our community
Hi JON brilliant well done great video.my bait down the edge is very fine white crum made into paste ,I feed Hemp & white ground bait SLOP.
Well done Jon, a lovely match and close like you said. My current go to bait is Swimstim Betaine green ground bait made into paste, had some nice results on it
Princes Ham, and Bread Flake, plus a quarter of a slice of bread on the surface when they come under the reeds. Best of luck.
yep that was great vid, losing fish was like the real world
great again jon roll on next match , keep em coming through winter cos tellys boring
well done Jon, ty for sharing
Meat over micro's. Another great video
Jon
I fished on Sunday and caught 43Ib on the method feeder feeding micros. Then fished down the edge last 2 hours and put 90Ib in the net. I fished strung out rig using 4x12 at 18 inches deep and fed overwetted micros / groundbait using a cad pot, fished double corn on a size 12. Biggest fish was 19Ib 5oz
You know your expecting to catch a few when you put 4 keepnets out !
well done jon great watch
Another great video Jon lad. Basically same as you're doing down the edge. Well done on your 3rd placing. One grumble, not sure about your background music mate. The old was more you. 😄🤣.
If its for carp…. 12-15mm boilies … but im pleasure fisherman.. great vid dude xx
Well fished Jon. Loved the continous commentary keeping us informed what you were doing and why. just wondered why you didnt use paste as you did before when you did the paste feature on lake 2. Thanks for sharing your experience. Cheers
The fish weren't feeding avidly enough for paste and they way they kept coming into our pegs and spooking off is a recipe for foulhookers! But it certainly might have worked. Quite a few paste heads there on the day that had to fish other baits.
My go to is micros and corn/expanders some times dead maggots but always start on corn
Well done Jon good skills as usual
6m expander over 4m hard pellets has worked for me , nice session Jon , lost fish probably cost the win .
Good match I normally do well on paste down the edge sonubaits normal one 👍
4mm pellets as feed with 6mm on the hook. Great video jon
Nice tidy match Jon . Corn over micros at the moment .
Well, as an expert 🤣😂🤣 I tend to feed smashed up sweetcorn and either a Van Den Eyde or Sonubait sweet feeder mix rather heavy and a few smashed up dead reds.. hookbait either corn, bunches of reds or red 6mm.. I’ve won bugger all significant but if Carlsburg did end of match tactics…… really enjoyed the video angles and commentary.. well done to matrix and your good self… Go Fishing next 😘
Pellets and paste if it's big fish. Corn and dead maggots over micros if it's tricky or smaller fish. Well done Jon.
Margin bait is either softened micro's or 4 mm pellets and hookbait 6mm or if really having a chew 8mm.
Corn over micros great video Jon
nice vidio jon with good camerawork thirds not bad and everyone lost fish im sure
I no you can't answer to all the comments i was just wondering if you are using the v2 poles?
Not upgraded to a v2 just yet… but hopefully soon… very soon! 💪
Worm over wet groundbait or corn/ worm over micros.
Hi Jon. Another great video as usual. Quick question. With regard to your membership. I’ve noticed that when I try to renew it on. iPhone it states 3.99 and not 2.99. Any idea why
Top Work... Do you use different rigs for different baits ...eg banded hard pellets.... Expander pellets....
Would this lead to having Two sets of rigs???.
Learning again after a 12 year break.
Great fishing John how , when fishing close to the pallet, your fish were swimming into the water, Is it the way you strike?
Just an outstanding fisherman , what pole are you using in the video, and elastic please 😃
Usually Corn or Pellets in the margin.. and sometimes meat
Feed dead reds, with paste or live reds on the hook
Lol that did make me laugh when you said about your mate keep saying chunky….it reminded me of a video I watched of a frenzee angler ….I’m not joking he must of used the word stocky 500 times in a half hour video!!! lol
Jon liked the film ,but the camera was to far away ,i like it when you have it up close and i can see the fish ,when you catch it and how you feed and approach a peg. Just thought Camera was to far away.
you using one of the new poles?
Margin bait: chick peas! It's a heavy bait that isn't likely to move around a lot and (big) carp love it. Also its very hookable and deadly accurate when feeding a mixture of hemp, sweet corn and some chick peas with it!
Well done Jon. Corn over micros for me!
Probably had more weights on meat down the edge than anything else. Prefer to catch on corn tbh, cheaper and less messy!
Micro and corn 🎣🎣🎣
Micros and sweet corn, great video Jon, what elastics please?
hi john , ive fished that peg may year ago, and sure was an island in front you as well have they took it out, and peg 8 had cut on the right , and 8 was not possible to fish towards you , the a tree up you left over 25m it use to be a hole where the fish felt safe i fished a bomb a pellet and corn and won the big match then that mark perkins ran
Good to see you at tunnel you wad coaching a group on high pool
Cheers John we had a great day with my Dutch friends
Yer I had a sack full of fish and carp
Well done jon
Worms or dead reds over micros and gb for me 👍🎣
Dead Reds seem to be the winner where I go Jon.
Double 8mm expander for proper carp over micros or soaked 4mm
Corn over mushy meat, corn over micros, or dead reds over groundbait
hard pellet over micro, or sweetcorn over groundbait .. and a big hi to you from Dave aka The Flash
Brandling red maggot tip
The guy in background at 15.45 pmsl
I think I would go with corn more weight to it.
Are you using a Matrix MTX 5 V2 pole Jon ?
Corn over hemp 👍👍👍
I fish F1 sweet micros and a 6mm banned F1 sweet pellet on the hook or a 4mm F1 sweet if its hard going .
Hi Jon can I just ask what pole u use mate 🙂
Matrix MTX4 💪👍
Thanks John I've just bought the mtx3 ultra and love it, so far 👍
Corn or 6mm expanders with micro
I use meat down the edge on most venues, especially shrewley.
Sweetcorn or luncheon meat does me fine with scopex groundbait
Well worked out John, dead maggots for me
At minute 2mm pellets and corn or worm. But some, days sloppy groundbait and dead maggots.
Paste /micros with a little bit of chopped worm
Corn and dead maggots double dendras on hook
Sweetcorn down the edge
Great video Jon, dead maggots, over micros for me
Hi Jon double worm over micros and corn
Paste Top rod
Hemp and snails can really score on harder venues..
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏👏
well done Jon. sweet corn over corn ground bait made sloppy.
My baits down the margin is Luncheon meat (8mm cube) over GB
Sweetcorn over micros
Dead red maggots groundbait
love fishing dead maggots in the margin good video john
Meat over meat n a little groundbait if needed.
dead reds or worm over groundbait or micros
Dead reds corn worm
Micros and paste or sweetcorn for me...
I use worm, think it’s good as not many people use worm, I’ve had some good weights with it. 47:01
