Great video Jon 😁. Love the step by step instructions and specifically swim selection ( 2 left 2 right, near and far) , also good how you explained the shit on the hook length and reasons why. I don't usually fish cold weather due to arthritis but this principle can be fished in spring. You say that 0.4 slim float is slightly heavy , but what would be an ideal weight for 3.5 ft of water? Keep the vids coming.
Five instant wins, Jon. When it's that clear , do you think a longer line between pole tip and float is an advantage, not having the pole over the fish? Or do you think it may compromise accuracy? Nice vid Jon great explanation of what and why you do what you do. Lots to ponder.
Stupid question possibly but I’m new to this. Was the pellet on a banded hook for the right hand swim and if so, was the band left on when hooking dead maggot on the left swim?
I've given this alot of thought, last week I was at said fishing venue and on said venue on some the other lakes there was a silver fish match on, not that I could care about the match. It did give thought, the winner caught 49lb of silvers, I myself was targeting perch as it is the time of year, and i had a revelation, there is no comparison to pleasure and match fishing, it's a different world and I am not going to watch anymore match tactics videos. They are just not comparible, we all use the same baits, similar lines, similar reels, rods, floats, weights etc. All it is pure and simple is application of baits. And depths. The sooner people work it out the better, then you won't have to watch people for 30mins anymore waffling on about the same things.
@@scottandrewjohnmiddleton8676 nobody asked you to reply to me eithor, and I wasn't nasty eithor, also I made an informed choice to watch the video, but hey I live in the u.k and voicing some thoughts I forget is wrong, no doubt this will be wrong also, so really under another revelation independent thought is a consequence, just like what my 12 year old gets a school occasionally because he isn't perfect as well.
@@stuartnewman6968 nothing wrong with voicing your opinion at all but you was rude regarding your comment the the man in the video (Jon author ) was "waffling on for 30 mins about the same thing " this was a matrix video but usually Jon works bloody hard filming and editing all his own videos for us lucky viewers and I personally think he does a great job now if your not into match fishing why watch a match fisherman filming a video for a match fishing company and then moan about it afterwards then have a pop at me for highlighting the fact that no one forced you to watch it

No, they were expander pellets. So they go directly on the hook.

I'm not a match fisherman,either.but taking advise from these lads..WILL improve your pleasure fishing.
