One day, Alan Wake 2 will come out. We don't even know if this song will be in it but when it releases, I'll be over here, sitting and crying happy tears.
This song is just unbeatable, unimitable, uncoverable, this is 100% original the Verve material, noise pop song with unlimited sfx, which is pretty risky, and I'm not talking about the fact they most likely compose this improvising, or the intro that has been produce in such a beautiful mess ! I will never be bored of that song !
Vasili Korotkov Well, yeah, i mean it's just one game (Plus American Nightmare) and his universe isn't too much expanded. :/ XxSkyKni9htxX Dude, chill. I get how hard it is when people screw a video of a song with a bunch of quotes from the media where that song was used. Plus And when i find the song, there wasn't too many comment and i just find about this amazing band because AW2 demo. :P
Although I guess the writer of that lyrics mostly came from the era of broken heart and drugs (and the love of rock and rollYeah), this song touch my deep inner struggle of meditation and life wisdom. Not many touch that. Lord give me the Light 🙏 it's truly life wish.
Vasili Korotkov I fucking get it, I love AW too but the fandom of my favorite video game will not collide with my favorite music OR ELSE WE'RE ALL GONNA HAVE A FUCKING PROBLEM!
XxSkyKni9htxX Easy there, dude (or dudette), I don't think anyone fully associates this band with AW games so far, and besides, I think you're over reacting
Man I miss The Verve so much :( I hate to admit it but I'm pretty sure I'll never get to see them live in person. Feels like the odds of them getting back together another time are very slim :(
I don't really know the verve ... but they sound awesome o_o I love this song ... sounds really amazing o_O... you can hear the U2 influence in here .. I absolutely love that :D Thanks so much for uploading this :D
You can say what you want it's a brilliant song, but the refrain sounds exactly like the strophes from Radiohead's "How Do You", released in 1993 on Pablo Honey. I immediately had to thought of this connection, when i first heard it.
@MrBowww1 Not anymore, he ain't. He's been flatlining for years. The Verve reunion was a brief spark. That "United Nations of Sound" dreck was hilariously, tragically awful.
"you think you´re an expert because your silly concept of music don´t tolerate rap and blues influences" - hahaha. This is so funny and you have no idea why. :) Seriously. Stop with the uninformed personal attacks. I have an opinion, deal with it. I loved The Verve through "Urban Hymns", liked some of the "Forth" album, and NONE of the "United Colors Of Benetton" crap he did after. Why don't you ask Nick McCabe and Simon Jones what they think of Richard's solo stuff? Hmm? ;)
Yes, and he wrote the "United Nations of Sound" songs specifically for sitting on the toilet. Wah wah wah. Also, go ahead and bet your bet, you'll be very wrong. ;)
5 stars song. Another classic by the Verve. Such an understated band.
One day, Alan Wake 2 will come out. We don't even know if this song will be in it but when it releases, I'll be over here, sitting and crying happy tears.
You must be happy now that a new Alan Wake is in the making.
@@thewandererone oh i am. shed a tear when i saw the announcement :'3
I love the fact the even Alan Wake 2 supposed demo got me into some great music.
Played Alan Wake II and the wait was worth it
in my opinion one of the best and most amazing songs ever... thanks for posting.
I share the same opinion. The entire album is very underrated. The Verve were one of the last great bands.
Jesus, I ignored this for 10 years? This is fucking incredible.
One of the masterpieces from The Verve!
"if you get the details right, reality has no choice but to accept the rest of it. The lie is now the truth"
"...the song in the car radio..."

the riffs at 1:10 are beyond explanation, just that echo, so futuristic
Yesss McCabe magic
Yeah, they've always had a healthy dose of the psychedelic in their music. I love this one.
Pete absolutely shredded those drums on this...
Light will make it true, light is the final trigger
XxSkyKni9htxX Plus, Alan Wake's fandom is not even that big, we must admit it's not as virulent as all of those internet based fandoms out there :/
Vasili Korotkov Well, yeah, i mean it's just one game (Plus American Nightmare) and his universe isn't too much expanded. :/

Favorite Radiohead song.

I wouldn't call it Echo though.
More like tremolo-ish.
I agree with you to the fullest though!
