Yeah, I'm under his thumb, I'm on his back

"Drums please, Fab?" And the whole world changes forever.
Anyone 2024?
And, on the seventh day, God said : "drums, please, Fab".
What a way to end the album
Yeah, “the adults are talking is cool”, but have ever heard this song in a thunderstorm while crying?
I don’t wanna live in a world where The Strokes don’t exist
I feel like Julian really put his heart out in this album. The whole band did. The ending of this song is so beautiful, he sings it with some sort of a heartbroken, but hopeful feeling.
why does this feel like the most depressing disney ride ever
I just wanted to be one of The Strokes.
im glad other people find comfort in “drums please, fab” too
"What do you want for Christmas?"
"drums please, fab?"
i cannot describe the feeling this song gives me. Julian seems to painfully feel every word until he reaches the emotional climax on the last verse, and then the song ends with a vague sense of hope. this man is truly a living legend, an icon of our times.
Psychologist: How would you define your sentimental situation?
My best friend died in a tragic motorcycle accident three days ago and this was the last song he asked me to listen to. Now I'm here drowning in tears in every line and thinking that maybe it was his way of saying goodbye, repeating a thousand times, I needed you there, I needed you there but I didn't know, I didn't know😢
When this album released, I legitimately thought it was the end for me. I had genuinely thought I wasn’t gonna live to 21. I wanted this to be my last song. Then my mom got back into the Strokes, and that’s when I started the association that this song wasn’t my end, but a beginning. It’s still a struggle but I’m getting better. Stay safe out there.
Julian:
I remembering 19yrs old when I first discovered The Strokes...now I'm almost 41 and it doesn't seem possible

I think it’s fair enough to say that this is the best song from this band and probably one of the best rock songs of the last decade.
