Adanna, thank you so much for opening up with us. I resonated so much with your point about being your own nemesis, especially with regard to raising the bar exceptionally high for yourself in a way that allows no flexibility. I've not even finished watching the video but am already learning so much from your journey about the importance of really being mindful of what we place our identities in. Things like careers/accomplishments aren't inherently bad by themselves, but if not careful, we can find ourselves going down a slippery slope if/when those things start to slow down or don't pan out the way we hoped they would. But what beauty would life be if everything panned out how we wanted it to? I pray this new stage of your life brings you freedom more than anything else. I pray you walk in the fullness of all that God created you to be in this season- whether that looks like what you envisioned or not. And I pray that when you look back at it all- it would all be beautiful. You're doing amaaazing, and I pray your journey continues to be an upward path from here onwards!

I am very happy I watched this especially the marriage category. I have been married for 16yrs and I have had the same thoughts and questions as you. My husband is David and I am you. My husband is a person who doesn't show stress under any circumstances, he simply has no worry in the world. I on the other had worries about everything. He calms my storm but lately I have been wondering, who calms his storm? What if he has storms he doesn't share? Just like you, I feel we have the most beautiful marriage but I wish my husband can get me in his soul too so I could also protect him as he protects me. We will definitely be having a conversation. I definitely feel you with feeling like you’re being taken advantage when you have a Servants heart. I’m going through it as the eldest child and first daughter in my family, i feel like it’s an innate thing because of our birth positions and culture lol.
Therapy has taught me to take care of myself and create boundaries that will help me safeguard my heart and mental health from those takers who take advantage

I rediscovered this channel today and I loved how transparent you were about the difficult moments too. There were some things I could relate with you on…it was like getting the master tips from a big sister. I’m grateful for the insights you shared especially concerning motherhood and career.
I’m an aspiring physician, so I always feel the pressure to be the best student to stand out. I’m glad you found you’re calling to help many women. I think a conference would be amazing!!! I need to start saving to buy a ticket tho lol…because I must be there! A podcast would also be great; I see you diving into the deeper issues we often put aside especially with family/motherhood. I’m a newlywed and do not have kids but I am much more excited to fail and keep trying to always be the best for my kids.

Adanna, I will say this and leave it at that.. your motherhood chapter was as if you were in my heart speaking for me. The moment I really really understood that being a mom is the highest achievement I could have. My life as a stay at home mom and lputting my medical degree certificate on hold took a massive U-TURN. And yeh,you are so right about how it becomes beautiful to connect with your kids.

I had to google psychedelic. Looking forward to hearing more about that. There was a lot of vulnerability in this video and I am here for all of it. You would think that after 10 years you know the ins and outs of your partner but we keep learning about each other everyday and it's nice to hear that it's a beautiful journey for you guys. I had no idea what DMC was either, but the excitement when David heard ' anywhere you want' lol I have watched you for years and there is so much growth Adanna. What great timing watching this vlog today! Today in the US (not sure about the UK) we celebrate "Mom's Working Day"! I have 2. daughter's ; one an engineer & the other a scientist ! If you ask them what is the most important job they have & cherish, it will be motherhood, hands down! The unconditional love, hard work , countless hours of stress , lack of sleep & worrying about their children (putting themselves on the 'back burner', is something they do daily. Some days are great, good, fair & bad. But never a day where they would not do it over again for the love they have for their children. Thank you for sharing this 'Amazing' vlog of your life, & I hope it will inspire more people (not just women, & esp the younger generation) to look & search more into their own lives, to find that connection to peace, love, happiness within themselves. It was summer 2015, I was back home, Haiti, to visit my family when I stumbled upon your video of your husband and yourself dancing to an African song. I believe this went viral because a few friends of mine sent it to me a few days after. All to say that, it's been nice to find you again on TH-cam and to witness all those wonderful milestones.
