Something to note about the Minox 35 series is that they have a tendency to break without reason, and because they are so small and have a fully electronic shutter, this makes them pretty hard to fix.
I bought a rollei 35 before and for me it's difficult to point and shoot because I have to adjust the exposure every time, maybe a minox 35 or Olympus xa would be better for me?
I actually almost included a Rollei in this, but figured people wouldn’t agree since it’s a little bit more expensive than the ones I listed. The Minox is manual too and its zone focusing just like the rollei so really won’t be a whole lot easier. The Olympus XA will take the Shutter-Speed, but you have to pick the aperture so that is slightly better, also it actually has a focus patch so you can determine what your focus is. That’s the best option out of a three if that’s what you’re looking for!
Hello Gr🌴aham. As always, nice to see your blog👏. I've just bought. There will be Yashica Minister -D on Tuesday😊. The last rangefinder from the M(inister) line. Lovely brass chrome brick😍
Had a Mju in highschool and have been wanting to get another, until I saw the prices. Then I inherited my Grandfathers Canon Sure Shot Tele 80 and after 3 rolls in it. ( mainly all shot at 38mm ) I have to say, it's VERY good for the $$ . That being said, the prices will probably go up... And the 35RC. It's the one camera I will ALWAYS own and have loaded with some sort of 400speed color. It just shouldn't take as good of pictures as it does.
Agree on all the above. Sure shots are great. Just not as compact is really only significant difference. And I really don’t understand how the rc is so good. And the viewfinder is crazy big and bright for being so small
@@graham_white the RC is really a Gem. Someday I'll actually replace the light seals in mine, but until then. Gorilla tape does the job. and makes it weather resistant. Try the OG Pen or Pen S sometime too.. outstanding.

I have heard that but couldn’t determine whether it was across the board or a few specific models so didn’t want to dive into that.
Cannon A35F rangefinder would be my choice.

@@graham_white Doesn't the Minox support aperture priority like the Olympus?
@@clarencepullman not the version I have but I believe there is a similar model that does yes. It is a bit more expensive though of course.
@@graham_white Is there a big difference in lens performance between the two?
@@clarencepullman between the two Minox? No it’s just shooting features that are different I believe.
