They literally paused grogu in time so as not to change him so they can sell toys and because they think sensible people like grogu because he's a cute baby yoda instead of the true reason which was people were excited to see a younger version of yoda and waiting for him to grow up so we can see a yoda like character at it's prime... But disnry who are famous for being misunderstanding their audiences assumed we just love seeing baby yoda on screen so my god did they spam grogu on screen especially when he doesn't need to be shown... The literally paused his development to squeeze out every profit they can get from the love of grogu at this form so we would probably never see grogu growing up or being a character, currently, he's just an ad placement for hos toys... They literally slapped back mando and grogu just as soon as they were separated to begin new arcs of their own and we get to see grogu transform into a good and useful character... Only for the higher-ups to freak out about their cash cow being separated from the MC so they slammed them together once again because they need grogu to advertise his own toys on screen and my god did they spam his face on our screens... Like every give seconds, we had to see his face... It was so obvious what they were trying to do and it was disgusting to witness... And then there's the elephant in the room... Live action puppet is shit... The prequel haters have always been bullshitting themselves everytime they complained about the clinical fight scenes (because everyone knows in real life, soldiers using guns is as visceral, rowdy and emotional as a gang battle... It's not as if a group of people trained to manage their emotions and remain stoic and calm at every moment wouldn't have controlled clinical fights rather than emotion filled fights otherwise it would be a plot hole and the emotional battles wouldn't mean anything if all the battles were emotional) and it became obvious that they just wanted to blame everything on the prequels and nothing more so thry were happy to scrape the bottom of the barrel for something to complain about... So let's talk about their dumbest complaint that got pandered to for some ungodly reason... Grogu as a puppet... Puppet yoda was faker and unnatural than yhe CGI by far... It took me out immediately when watching the OT... Only for the freaking modern lucasfilm to do the same thing with grogu and use a puppet in a freaking action packed show as if a puppet would be able to look cool or natural in it especially when moving rather than the more realistic CGI... But because westerners must yake things to an extreme and dichotomize it, rather than it being differentiating between good CGI and bad CGI, they stupidly instead prefer to fight between CGI or no CGI as if some practical effects, quite a lot of them still need CGI to complete them... So instead of lucas film looking for how to make their cgi better, they took the shortcut prequel haters so brainlessly gave them to be lazy and used a freaking unwieldy puppet for a being we can never use a human to control, and the sheeps blindly cooed at the awkward, stiff, unnatural, uncanny, unrealistic, slow, unexpressive puppet grogu because they're hypocrites with no point at all except that they didn't want to grow up and act like adults and only wanted to see member berries from their childhood rather than thinking of how ineffective and rubbish it would be in a action packed show like the prequels and mandalorian and the puppet would just make the show boring and unprofessional and a joke as it would slow down the pace, destroy the tone and pull you out of the scene because of its freaking obvious that it was crappy to look at... Grogu should have been made out of CGI and also practical effect, touch up the puppet with cgi and use it to make it's movement flow and realistic and natural rather than the nonsense flipping like the puppet was obviously being thrown... Grogu should have been CGI, it's so obvious... He would have greatly increased the immersion into the series all to pander to these prequel haters who have only watched the OT and nothing else, not even the comics and animation who they insult and yet they think somehow, they know what real star wars is like more than the actual owner of star wars and they just thought everything they don't like isn't star warsy, and now, we're watching a puppet struggling to be moved in an action packed show and he's one of the MCs and the camera lingers on him a lot showing it in all it's fakeness and they hypocritically claim of CGI being unrealistic unlike freaking puppets, freaking children grownups... And grogu is a victim to these decisions making him look fake and uncanny and unbelievable... Grogu got hurt a lot by Disney which to adult viewers destroys immersion...
many good points, though I would say the point about no one going to check mandalore was answered nonverbally by showing the pile of mandalorian helmets collected by the cyborg thing. Obviously it wasn't *the* cause of all mandalorians dying that visited Mandalore, but it was an example of the hellscape Mandalore had become where everything that is still there is just barely surviving, in combination with Gideon's imperial base it's like any mandalorians that went to see if Mandalore had healed just never came back because they were either killed by some cave trolls, a cyborg, Gideon's super commandos, a giant monster hiding under ground, or the surviving mandos on the hover ship believing that the civil war was still going on, etc.
I should have expanded more on that point. I agree with you, it makes sense that no one wants to live there because the planet is in ruins, dangerous and the mandalorians are currently in disarray. Rather than giving these reasons, the writers talked about poison which is too silly to be believable because it's easy to check. It feels like an excuse to have Bo-Katan sit around on her planet for 25 years doing nothing. If Mando had only been there to check the poison levels, he would not have encountered any monsters or bad guys.
8:25 - Jedi getting mowed down by soldiers all firing from the same direction, and Ahsoka has the main characters survive being shot at by 6 - 8 troopers firing from all around them.

And I've always accepted that it was good fun but c'mon it was never so magical and incredible for all the people to go bonkers about it. And now that season 3 as been so abismal, they are reconsidering their opinion about the first two Also, I was enjoying tbobf a lot, until those two goddam mandalorian episodes...
I enjoy mindless fun and aside from 2 stupid episodes, the rest of season 1 was fun to watch once. Season 2 was them experimenting with stupidity while s3 is full on stupid. 😁 I watched s2 with a non eng speaking friend and I realized how dumb this show is while translate moff gideon threatening to shoot mando and his crew with an e web cannon for 2 mins. lol
I even forgot that's where botox Karen was from... And the series doesn't fit with the mandolore lore in the clone wars... There was no mention of helmets and freaking beska armor...

I think he knows more than most of the clowns at Disney Lucasfilm, but he doesn't care about contradicting the prequels as long as he can make a cool scene. He needs to work with writers who can turn his knowledge into a coherent story. The Clone Wars is indeed a mess.

However it was Clone wars continuity Dooku not prequel version. Clone Wars is worse than the movies version. It feels close enough for the show but it far cry from what the character should be. Filoni doesn't understand the Prequels at all. He contradicted them multiple times in the Clone Wars.
