The Nest of the Blue Dragon

Whilst cutting back the neighbour's ivy bush, which each year tries to block the sun from my strawberry patch.. well, after completing my clipping back, I discovered a rare find. A Blue Dragon had picked her place to build a nest at human level. Inside were four beautiful Blue speckled Dragon eggs. This meant that each day I could easily document The nest and the blue eggs. Two days later the miracle happened. Watch to see the wonders.
Since filming, I filled up my two hanging tables, filled the balls cage, and put out a bowl of mealworms for Mamma Dragon. In addition, I churned up some ground to allow life to wriggle to the surface.
Everything changed on the 6th day .

Each day I went out once to document the changes in The Nest.
Remember, if you find a nest in your garden, or in the wild, NEVER touch it. Never touch the nest, never touch the eggs, and especially NEVER TOUCH the baby Dragons. Mother Dragon may smell an intruder, and reject her babies. No-one wants to be responsible for that.

I thought that was a nest of perfection. Constructed by a master builder dragon. A place of concealment, well chosen. But alas it was not so. 😞 There was an enemy lurking through the tall green grasses out there and spied it in the tangles of the ivy. It is good that you documented it all, though the outcome was startling and unexpected. This time the lurker is filled and satisfied but the dragon may return..........😁 Thanks Lexie for sharing a great thriller story. Loved it ❤👍
