For whoever is complaining the parent Dove didn’t do anything- I live in Arizona and we have a lot of Eurasian collared as well as mourning doves around. And they are NOT tough birds, they’re fragile and no match for even a small hawk. It’s like the African Savannah when an Impala gives up her baby to Lions to run away and live another day and reproduce again

Hawk took enough time to kill nd eat still no parent came to check the nest.
One of the parents did return and lost feathers in a "dust up" with the Hawk off camera, you only see some feathers.
