I have a 2001 st1100 with 66000 miles. She is smooth and powerful. I've owned a lot motorcycles in my 61 years and buy, fix up, and sell some. Put the st1100 is the keeper. Heavy around the garage, but floats seamlessly on the road. I love this old guy bike. It does everything so well.

I just did a 390 km trip, and it hurt me (shoulders and neck) more than it did the bike.
I just need to practice my long distance riding.

Heavy as hell but as Soon as you roll it’s put to use low down. Amazing machine. I had one in Thailand, it went to places most Africa twins would struggle.

Very entertaining! Old guy noises and humorous music st the end was perfect. Hope you're still enjoying the Pan.

The music was sensational while you were riding. I love great music and great motorcycles. The silly music at the end while trying to "dock" that beast was pretty funny also. That was a great video. A great video.....I had to say it twice!

Congratulations on the Pan. Lovely scenery. Recently returned to Italy from a holiday in Sudwest Friesland. I will live vicariously through you videos until I have an ST of my own.

Fair warning: I'm an irregular uploader...

Have a 20k mileage abs/tcs in excellent condition as well as newer bikes but will likely keep the 1100 long term anyway. Its my 4th one. Its just so good for easy miles big trips in comfort. Had several 1300s in past and believed them to be better. Well in certain areas they are of course... but the 11 is actually a more "planted" or stable machine despite being the previous model ! It doesnt have the mid range wallop of the later bike but that doesnt matter to me anymore. They are now modern classics (launched circa 1989/1990??). Clocks with moving hands, no cruise, no keyless... ha ha ha 🤣 Great bikes 👍

I love these old style, nearly car, dashboards.
Nowadays, LCD dashes are a bit overcrowded with options and settings.

Eef, as you will probably know your bike is fitted with the original " Dragons Eye" screen. I bought a Givi replacement, easy to fit and much more comfy no buffering at 1.77m.

Yes, thanks, I know it's the original screen (minus the rubbers that always seem to fail).
I'll take a look at the Givi, you're about my height, so maybe it would work for me as well.
For now, I,ve fitted a shorter screen, that also works for me and gives the bike a slightly sportier appearance.
Did a video about that too.

Ja!
