I have always liked these bikes. I bought a Honda Blackbird , keeping it for 9 years so I did not get one. Can a fairly decent ST1100 still be found in 2024? Thanks for the this video.
They respond very well to a thorough overhaul. Platform is rock solid but by about 60,000 miles (or 20 odd years) they need new shock, brake pistons/seals, cambelt, water hoses, wheel and steering bearings and some electrics fettling. I've just given mine this treatment and it feels like a brand new perfect Pan. Did 2000 mile tour on it this summer and it was wonderful.
brilliant bike ...stranger rider there....speed up mate , it's not a truck
What brand is this lower shield?
I was actually thinking about this. I currently ride a custom bike but I am on a hunt for a st1100. I have always been riding bikes whiteout windshield and that is what I like.
Hello, I recently broke my complete assembly of the mirror and turn signal. where can i find these parts?
Very entertaining! Old guy noises and humorous music st the end was perfect. Hope you're still enjoying the Pan.
Damn this is intense! That music! I am about to do the same thing
Darth Vader rides a Pan
I did a similar mod using a Clearview short tinted shield. I cut it down a little lower than yours. I think it is great in warm weather, and the air flow is smooth.
Where did you get the crash bars?
Best way to ride!
Hot air!! Not water
congrats on your purchase.. great bike, it's my third one, a green one after a blue and a red one..my favourite motorcycle along with the varadero and the vfr 800 fi...(still have one for the fun)..never dropped one..easier I think to drop a varadero...cheers from France..
I had a 1984 Goldwing and desired a lower height fairing. None on market, so I used a dremmel tool to cut down fairing and sanded edge. Worked great, today I'd flame edge too.
have you fixed it yet? 😊
Doskonały motocykl mimo lat, czy jedziesz szybko, czy wolno.Mam go i uwielbiam 😀. Brawo dla Japońskich Inżynierów 👏. Pozdrawiam Serdecznie 👍🏍️🇵🇱
I would check into a New set of tires
La VF750F est très fatiguée 😢
What kind of mount isit you have under the windscreen, i am looking for a mount to place there.
Beautiful bike. I prefer this style over the 1300.
Bought mine in 1990 still perfect, 165000km now.
The music was sensational while you were riding. I love great music and great motorcycles. The silly music at the end while trying to "dock" that beast was pretty funny also. That was a great video. A great video.....I had to say it twice!
🤭👍🙏
Sounds like the bike you're on needs work too. LOL
I don't actually know how old it is, but it's got a crooked rear wheel. And I actually did fix it up a bit...
St 1100 jest super 👏😉 Pozdrawiam serdecznie 👍🇵🇱
Hope you washed the bike since you posted the video a year ago...LOL
I did, a few times.
Diggin' this channel. Found you looking for st1100 vids. Cheers from Boston. Subbed.
yes, the plastic that protects the gasket, well done
Zelf gemaakt windscherm?
I could give a fuck about any of this. Why do you show a video about this on an st1100 platform. I watched some of your other videos about the st.
I made this video on my channel about my mirror of my ST1100 because other people might accidentally break their mirror and need to replace it. A link for the replacement glass I used is in the description. Thanks for your comment, what sort of content would you like to see?
I picked up a 99 model. It's a fantastic bike! I rode sport bikes for many years, and switched to cruisers. I had a Victory and a few Harleys. A guy wanted to trade for my sportster so I thought I would give it a try. The st1100 is amazing. It's fast, powerful, comfortable, and quite agile. I'm in love. It's my new daily driver.
I love it. It's not really powerful enough to be called fast, but it's fast enough. And the handling is great.
Have a 20k mileage abs/tcs in excellent condition as well as newer bikes but will likely keep the 1100 long term anyway. Its my 4th one. Its just so good for easy miles big trips in comfort. Had several 1300s in past and believed them to be better. Well in certain areas they are of course... but the 11 is actually a more "planted" or stable machine despite being the previous model ! It doesnt have the mid range wallop of the later bike but that doesnt matter to me anymore. They are now modern classics (launched circa 1989/1990??). Clocks with moving hands, no cruise, no keyless... ha ha ha 🤣 Great bikes 👍
I love these old style, nearly car, dashboards. Nowadays, LCD dashes are a bit overcrowded with options and settings.
It's done I bought a Honda ST1100 Pan. it seems to me that I will never be able to drive it, it is too heavy, it fell in the garage, I only got help to lift it, to park it, it fell down again, I held it and I had a reasonable backache . The bike is beautiful, it's a panzer, but I'm afraid it's too much for me
Yes, it's seriously heavy. I dropped mine not too long ago, and was fortunate enough to have two people come running to help. Our instinct is always to try and stop it from falling, but that's not really an option.
@@eefneleman9564 I had feedback from the other gentlemen, who told me that it is a matter of habit, and adapting to the machine. What I think is that it's not a motorcycle to ride in the city, or on very busy roads. when it's time to stop, every precaution is necessary, life will always bring us unexpected situations. These bikes require a lot of responsibility and a lot of attention. I bought mine in Holland, at a good price with damage on the Left side, mirror, twisted metal mirror support, broken (but repairable) fairing and it seems to me that the owner fell with it, got fed up and shipped it
@@eefneleman9564 I already thought of one thing, in case it falls, if we have a 1 Ton hydraulic jack, of the ordinary type, and if we study a place on the motorcycle to place it when fallen, and we make a metal part suitable for motorcycle/jack adaptation, it is possible to lift the bike without help, of course it would have to be well studied, no big deal. The jack will be easily transported in the motorcycle

for the timing belt I did a visual inspection, as Honda recommends. Just remove the covers, and look at the timing belt and see whether or not there are cracks in the belt, deformations, etc.
I just looked in the manual. It says: replace every 150000 km. So I guess I shouldn't worry too much.
@@eefneleman9564 There is a reference to which visual inspection should be done I think at 60,000 km or miles, and after x at x kms. The replacement, even if the belt appears to be good, is that it is at 150,000 kms, according to you. The possibility of the belt breaking is so serious that it cannot be facilitated.
@@eefneleman9564 visual inspection 100.000kms

Eef Neleman, knows the company Opheij Motoren in Veghel. I'm about to make a bank transfer and I don't have any feed-back from them, are they correct?
I have no personal experience with them. Best try to find some reviews on the internet and run them through Google translate.
@@eefneleman9564 As I expected, it has been correct, but you know nowadays things are different all over the world and we feel insecure. Thank you
company Opheij Motoren in Veghel, Good and very honest people, I loved it
I have a 2001 st1100 with 66000 miles. She is smooth and powerful. I've owned a lot motorcycles in my 61 years and buy, fix up, and sell some. Put the st1100 is the keeper. Heavy around the garage, but floats seamlessly on the road. I love this old guy bike. It does everything so well.
I just did a 390 km trip, and it hurt me (shoulders and neck) more than it did the bike. I just need to practice my long distance riding.
Heavy as hell but as Soon as you roll it’s put to use low down. Amazing machine. I had one in Thailand, it went to places most Africa twins would struggle.
Eef, as you will probably know your bike is fitted with the original " Dragons Eye" screen. I bought a Givi replacement, easy to fit and much more comfy no buffering at 1.77m.
Yes, thanks, I know it's the original screen (minus the rubbers that always seem to fail). I'll take a look at the Givi, you're about my height, so maybe it would work for me as well. For now, I,ve fitted a shorter screen, that also works for me and gives the bike a slightly sportier appearance. Did a video about that too.
the green also is nice
NICE NEW BIKE!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks!
Thank you for sharing this video 👍🏻👍🏻🙏🏻
And thank you, for leaving a comment!
Looks great
Thanks! It gives a sportier look and feel, I think.
Congratulations on the Pan. Lovely scenery. Recently returned to Italy from a holiday in Sudwest Friesland. I will live vicariously through you videos until I have an ST of my own.
Fair warning: I'm an irregular uploader...
Ja!
