I played this in middle school regionals. It is so so fun to play, and a great song at the same time!

I never got to play this piece. I heard it originally on my parent's Magnavox console stereo with an LP. I've loved it since I was a kid. My dog goes cuckoo when I whistle along with the piece. It's awsome... awsome with awesome sauce on top.

I wish my school orchestra did songs cool as this....but the closest thing we had to this speed is Celtic Roots
But I’m gonna ask the teacher if we can do it next year...

My school orchestra does stuff that’s clearly written for school orchestras... I joined a local youth symphony though and we do REAL music. Best choice I’ve ever made.

I like the way she conducts. No nonsense with the baton just a metronome adherence to the beat for no question about when you come in and how you keep time. So much better than some conductors who must think the players can read their minds with mysterious movements that seem to bear no relation to the music. I wish I could have seen her face while she's conducting. I like to know if the conductor really enjoys the music or if they're just going through the motions. For a good example of this is this conductor. Watch him sing along with the music and dance as he conducts. I like to that his soloists are left free to play their part. Lots of rehearsals go into that and some really talented players.
