Nice! I'm considering this cab. I'm aware of the monitor quality and would certainly upgrade it as well as the sticks and buttons like on the three cabs I have now. HUGE difference!!

I have the MK 30th Anniversary version of this cab. Bought it cos it was cheap. I would have much preferred the Joust cab you have, which in my opinion is the greatest looking of the Arcade1up cabs, but is almost impossible to get in the UK unless you pay really silly money. Nice mod ;-)

Classics like Defender, Galaga and others used a 2 way stick, either up, down or left, right.
Wonder if possible to add a 2 way restrictor in that Wico or similar leaf sticks.
4, 8 way restrictors are common, but don't see 2 way restrictors.

It sounds like youve been bitten by the bug. Start clearing out that second room now Lol. Have fun with your new games

It’s cool to have an authentic Wico leaf switch but I’m wondering if you could just swap out the microswitches in the stock controller with the clickless microswitches like the mod with the Tron stick?

Hmm. Thats a good thought. I never thought of that. Perhaps I will try that as an experiment. If you do it please post a video. Thanks

i wonder if there's a way to use a 2 way horizontal gate for joust.
or a 2 way vertical gate for defender.
also bubbles isnt that bad with the stock for me.
i just haven't played it a whole lot like the other games.

Thanks for showing the mod. By the way, your monitor looks very good. Did you have to replace a TN, or did it come with a BOE? Thanks.

Thank you. Yes I did replace the monitor . I used a Dell E1715s. I bought a used one from e bay for $75. Easy to do.

@@yeksun Ah, ok. I have the Defender 40th Partycade, which has a dead controller, so I may just port it's monitor over to a new Defender 40th cab, if I do decide to get one. Glad you were able to use the Dell monitor.

Yes I upgraded the monitor. It made a nice improvement. I also lit up the coin slots. That is a must.

I bought one 1up arcade cabinet, the sf2 for the button layout. Then removed/ swapped everything and put a raspberry pi in it.
