@@archifox2763 always nice getting High Caliber driving a tier 6 in a tier 8 game. Cromwell platoons are glorious. I remember the fun of taking all Cromwells in a skirmish.
If tier VI clan skirmishes are still a thing (I haven't played WoT in almost 3 years) try the 6x Cromwell + 1x AMX 12t lineup, we had much fun with that back when my clan was fully active.
I still can’t believe wargaming hasn’t introduced purchasable premium matchmaking where you don’t get up-tiered.
The Kranvagn was using the Sabaton commander with the special voice acting...hilarious none the less :)
Actually, the Kranvagn's hull exists, so technically, one half of the tank existed.

@@davidl2684 no, as far as I understand the development process of this tank, the actual hull as it is in WoT was made, but fitted out with a weight to simulate the turret and gun... Bofors just wasn't able to produce the autoloading gun and turret for it, so there is no finished prototype of this tank

Yep. I've even been crawling over it in person..about 3 years back now...I wish I knew what it was during mustering for army-duty in 1995, when they asked if I wanted to drive a "kranvagn" - I expected it to be a tow-tank so I said no....sigh..
The only time you can complain about HE spam is in a WOWS game with a Smolensk, Colbert, and 3 Thunderers

A lot more games are becoming one-sided kerbstomps. I don't have XVM and don't plan to, but when you constantly see how one set of dots disappears from the minimap and look up the battle results afterwards, you start to get the impression that one team has been painted with much more red. I recently got my six year reward gewgaws, and in that time it seems to me teams have become more and more stupid, all the way up to tier ten. Nobody seems to recognise their tank type's intended role anymore, especially mediums and lights, and you'll often see heavies race in the opposite direction of the traditional heavy chokepoints. No intelligent support, just feral scavengers fighting over the same targets to farm damage; fewer players seem able to shoot straight or put themselves in a position for LoS; lemming trains and camps are the norm; 1 vs. 29; dogs and cats, living together...
There's the explanation that once one team loses a few tanks, it collapses completely, purely down to some chain reaction or something, but I think I believe that as much as I believe '5% gold'.

Jingles, meet the new standard for the average WoT player.
The problem has and always will be that support is not being rewarded. You get xp and credits for kills, you get xp and credits for damage, BUT, you do NOT get xp and credits for support. At least not nearly enough to be a consideration for Daves and Bobs.
The error lies in the system. Reward teamplay and you will see teamplay. Reward yolo-ing solo shit and you will see yolo-ing solo shit. Simple as that.
@@D4RKBRU73 I would agree (if it wasn't for spotting damage, tracking damage, Brothers In Arms, etc.) but I don't know if it fully explains the flood of people into the game who would push against a door marked 'pull'.
idk. When I last played, which is more than 5 years ago now, this was the same notion among the community and even then, there were people like me now saying it was mostly the same 5 years ago.

There is some,. but it is pitiful in comparison.
And often support means being there _if_ something happens, to cover a flank that the enemy never attacks (because lemming train), and even if you move in you are late to the party.
Yoloing also means you get to play three tanks instead of one as you get blown up.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a team collapse backwards on itself in such fantastic fashion. How the enemy team let such a wide flank turn into such a knife fight in less than two minutes is beyond me.
its a little thing called positional advantage and general strategy.
assuming you're talking about the first game, there is no way in hell a team can push that corner around the hill while getting farmed by a krangvan.
assuming youre talking about the second game, the tanks driving up to the hill from the north got bottlenecked and stuck in a crossfire at the top of the hill and the cromwell b team correctly chose to rush in as they had more tanks and more HP, allowing them to steamroll the blue team lmao.

That opening is good. I got the same thing recently, some guy whining at me that people were firing HE at his tank's 400mm-effective-armour turret, never once thinking that they might have _had_ to. The bizarre entitlement of players who use tanks that are, frankly, every bit as much 'loading skill' as hitting the 2 key.

For some reason the resupply cost wasn't calculated. I mean, it's not like buggy gold gain calculations for replay recaps are in any way new...
What's REALLY odd, is though the credits for winning the battle are identical, the Prem account correctly deducts the 4,832 credit cost of repair/re-supply of the vehicle - yet the regular account deducts a random, pulled from the cloud, 134 credits!
Someone from the platoon has premium account and it adds to the person which doesnt have prem acc. When you create platoon, there is a "i" icon that provides you with that information.

That Cromwell replay is the perfect example of if your team sucks there is nothing you can do about it.
2 tanks are still kinda good at doing wolfpacks: cromwells & t-34-85m. a platoon of 3 of either of those is pretty hard to counter, just because of the "OH SH***" few seconds the ennemy suffers the moment they get rushed, wich is all the time they need to dispose of said ennemy(s)
One other nasty wolfpack is three Unicums in Pz. V\IVs in platoon zerg rushing a flank... For some reason I saw 5 platoons like that yesterday, while the corresponding platoons were mix and match tanks. Whether on the winning team or losing team, it just wasn't much fun. Certain tanks should never be allowed to platoon.

According to wikipedia, kranvagn is a code name in the same way that tank used to be. It means mobile crane. The project was call E.M.I.L. (Emil, a fairly common Swedish name) and is the same series and project as the Emil I tank.
As a Swede, i can confirm that you actually pronounced Kranvagn pretty good :)
As another Swede i disagree. If you can pronounce the A in Army, you can properly pronounce the As in KrAnvagn. The 2nd a is using the same a but abit shorter since it's followed by 2 consonants.

We used to cause chaos in 3 man Cromwell platoons five or so years ago, having fast tanks with quick firing decent pen guns is a great combination

The thing about the Kranvagn is that it's very light; If you get into a slugfest in a city you can be bullied into a wall and flipped.
I remember back in the day, T50-2 Light Tank, before the physics patch. I called it my beloved little Troll-Cart. Such fun we had.
Just like that wheelie, when I first got the T2 lite, when flying right over the crest of that hill. And 2/3rd of the enemy team was there. Dodged and weaved just not to hit anyone and got away. But this was when friendly fire was still a thing. The enemy ended up shooting each other up instead of me.
I hope that WG implements a system whereby teams are not just selected for their average WN8 score but also by their crewskills in the tank played: a light with 75% crew, 0 crewskills against a 100% 5 skillcrew light will ALWAYS lose. I think the amount of skill in a parcticular tank says a lot more then the average for all tanks in the garage.

@@SoggyCoffeeAddict They are testing out HE shells with no splash damage, you only do damage if you penetrate, you need to shoot the weak spots. The problem is the classic derp tanks are inaccurate so good luck.

jingles saying wargaming dont need to be accurate with stats of kranvagn wargaming always make up stats of vehicles or change the way tanks look ingame compared to real life for example the object 279e looks nothing like the one in the russian museum you could sneeze into a tissue and if it looks like a tank wargaming will put it in

I don’t remember that last time I saw a match where one team did a huge push like that and everyone joined in that didn’t win. Idk why it is so rare. I do miss WoT circa 2011-2012.

In typical WG's fashion it's a bugged part of the new communication system. The SU-130PM requested fire at an enemy tank, that's why it appeared. The same thing happens when you spam click at an enemy base.

@@nazamroth8427 I kind of feel the same. But to be fair, they're bringing it upon themselves. The constant powercreep since 2016 is slowly but surely destroying the game. You can see it by looking at the NA server crumbling down, and the EU server losing players as well. I consider myself somewhat of a veteran, because I play since early 2012 and it's really sad to look at it. Back in the day I was able to play WoT for many hours straight, while nowadays it's hard for me to play for more than an hour. From what I saw, Gaijin is doing the same thing with War Thunder. More and more people are unhappy with the game. I guess both companies became more interested in cash grabbing than keeping the players happy.
it honestly feels like 3 things:
1. People focus fire more. The amount of times I have been basically oneshoted from full health the moment I got spotted is astonishing
2. People have become more stupid and farming specialists
3.Idk actually. Aliens or stuff

It is the new meta , faster a battle is over more money in the pockets for WG . Very few battles last more then 6-7 minutes now . Most battles over in under 4 minutes . Score like15-2 , 15-3 is common.
Teamwork as a consumeable:

need a special radio frequency thing to link up with others in a platoon.
all members of the platoon need it. boom. done.
The Kranvagen shows perfectly in what state the WoT ballance is...

Regarding the short battles that are going on, that is part of the reason I quit playing this game among other reasons (gold spam, op premiums, etc.). Every game I was playing was usually over in under 5 minutes and very one sided. And since most of my games I was bottom tier (yes I remember going to look and saw that of my last 100 games, over 80 were bottom tier in 3-5-7 matchmaking) I had little to no effect in most of my games since either everything would already be dead or I would get over run by 10 enemies.
Its like we dont play the same game. I really have a lot of battles which are lasting for 10min above. And it is possible to contribute as a bottom tier too. Just choose your targets and switch side it current one not suit you. I had that 'mental issue' too but everything become more easier when I deleted all mods.
59 wolfpacks. 9 on a team in 3 platoons. I've never seen games end so quick.
That armored car did the right thing by not slowing down, actually. Stopping would have exposed them to enemy fire far longer, and this way at least they had a chance to race past the bulk of the enemy team and make it around the corner on the other side of the hill. It didn't work out, but it very well could have, while trying to turn around would have been 100% fatal.
Of course, racing up there in the first place _was_ a bit of a dumbass move...:P

As power creep takes hold, every tank gets into position a bit quicker, every shot does more damage and the game finishes more quickly. Just the way it goes ... now.
I do miss my 2 platoon mates on NA server. We did this in Cromwell. Kv2. Wz120ft and the ebr 90's

Well, I found out that I have somewhat better teams when Im running premium account then at times with no premium, are you sure about that "teamwork premium consumable" beeing not implemented yet? (this is Warships, not Tanks, but I wouldt be suprised at all with a bit of rigging the matchmaker if only a little bit)
The second battle is like the old tier 6 tank company battles.
And Jingles William is in SBN. So expect the SHENANIGANS
Jingles, I agree that the games are ending quickly 15-0/5 games are basically the normal these days & if they last longer than 5 minutes you're lucky. Sucks if you're trying to complete a mission but ho well 15 minute games that were 14-15 would just give you a chance & reward you for thinking. We can't have that now can we

Platoon 2.0 also contributed heavily to even more battles becoming increasingly one sided I feel, with one team just getting stomped in a matter of minutes and it literally not making a difference if you participate in the battle or not. You could be on the winning team that does the stomping and yet they would've done just as good without you or you can be on the losing team and yet no matter what you would've done, nothing would've changed the outcome and you still would've lost at a record pace. Full tier X games suffer from that the most, but it seems to slowly seep down to the lower tiers too and it's definitely an issue that more and more players seem to take note of.
If you combined your coughing attempt at the Kranvagn and your actual attempt, you'd be surprisingly close! :D
Derped my way so close to a crucial contribution in my KV2 the other day. Coming to the end of a battle and form a platoon with two tanks on three kills each. I had three kills so 9 all together. Enemy had two art and a medium tank left. My platoon killed two and I took a shot (that hit) at the final artillery only for friendly artillery to hit and kill a second before my shell. 😭
Teamwork is an exploit that is seldom used.
You guys on PC don't have to deal with Lycan platoons. It's a pre-nerf T71, but luckily let's just say the average Lycan driver leaves something to be desired
CrommyB we’re doing this 4 years ago when I first started playing. Lost a many SU100Y to 3 Cromwell B doing this exact thing regardless of the map.
