Yeah you will love thailand I have been 5 times in 2 years Looking at kamala hua hin for my future Be interesting how you both enjoy Your thailand experience
It doesn’t matter where you choose to live, the daily ‘retired’ routine of buying food, drinking coffee, walking, annoying the locals, remains the same. Best wishes with your next stop. Thanks for sharing your experiences. Cheers
We have spent six months living in Hua Hin Thailand. We are back in Aust finalising things here before heading back to Hua Hin permanently in January. Hua Hin is fantastic. Just 3 hours south of Bangkok. There are plenty of different expat groups to join if you want. We spend our days there riding our paddle boards, going to the gym, enjoying a variety if delicious food and enjoying the company of new friends. We can highly recommend Hua Hin. (We considered Sanur as a retirement place but decided that Hua Hin offered a bigger variety if things to do).
Its great that Karen is pursuing her creative side.! ..I didnt even think of pursuing my passion for painting until I had raised my boys and left my office job ..I found it so self esteem building and satisfying 🎨
The lady at the market was peeling the water lily stalk. It is used as vegetable in Vietnamese cuisine. Water boat tours in the US would cost you around 120 dollars each.
Nice apartment. Thanks for the video, interesting to see how you spend your time. Regarding Thailand Hua Hin is a very popular place for ex pats, met a couple of German ladies who have retired there and love it. Good luck with your search.
Another great video Richard…..thank you for the tour of your apartment! I really like the Butcher shop, so much to choose from. On the GC we’re having the same weather as you. Take care and keep well on your travels!
Make sure you go to Chiang Mai. I think you will like it. If you are looking at a beach location check out Hua Hin. Many expats live in both these places.
Thanks for the butcher cold room tour and prices. Loved Karen’s Pepito bag, a little bit of Bali. 🌸 Yay, can’t wait for Thai vids going there in May 🤔 I think lol. Enjoy the ☕️🍻
Another fantastic video. Thanks so much. Really interesting looking around Butcher and what’s available. All the best for your future visit to Thailand. Keep enjoying Da Nang in the meantime. Cheers to you both 🥂🤗🥂🎄🎄
Nice unit mate another great video feel like Indian food the family Indian restaurant in Danang behind the beach is the best Indian in Vietnam cheap too Keep the videos coming I like seeing you visit the streets I’ve been in ❤🇻🇳👏
Family Indian Restaurant 231 Ho Nghinh The owner ended up driving me to a Dr ended up with a ear ache got antibiotics lovely people Vietnamese people are so lovely always trying to help🙏
There are some lovely places in Thailand. We found we loved some areas and really did not like other areas. So don’t judge it by one area. If you do not like the first area you stay in, move around to various locations to get a good feel. I prefer the Northern areas of Thailand compared to the southern parts. Good luck in your next adventure
I’m on catchup….Finally home from hospital and it’s that crazy time of year….Actually thinking about it haven’t seen any Xmas decorations etc in your videos…I’m doing some online shopping and it’s so hard not physically been able to see or hold anything ….I swear it takes you 10 times longer….Wow love the apartment….And you pouring your heart out…Hard to do on camera…Everyone has a story to tell…But totally get out there enjoy life and do what keeps you happy…You never know what’s around the corner…Life can throw some big challenges at you…Day by day one step at a time….
Great video, as always, Richard & Karen. Such an interesting place Da Nang ☺So looking forward to more episodes & also really excited for you going to Thailand next. I've been to Bangkok & Phuket in Thailand - Phuket is gorgeous, but it was back in the 90's when I went, so it's probably very different now. Your apartment is really lovely 🤩🤩
The butchery was a great set up. Did they have ribeye cubes in there. That single ribeye you held up was quite pricey in new Zealand dollars. Great video, many thanks
Fantastic show guys missing Karen’s street story telling would love to see what Karen is painting too well done on your move from bali can’t wait to see your next adventure We went to Vietnam and found a beautiful man from France who does motor bike photography photography tours and walking tours fantastic we don’t ride so we were passengers We went to place that tourist don’t see and it was such a beautiful experience we did a walking tour with him and it was the best tour we have ever done love Vietnam keep up your wonderful videos love watching your shows. ❤ 😊
Wow huge apartment for 2 people for a 3 month stay. Karen would love the 3D art museum , not to be missed, its on the beach side. I got some amazing photos of my wife among the art. I have never been to a country with one before. Ba Na hills was amazing, it was like visiting Europe for a day with castles. If you go get there when it opens so you get to go on the bridge with the hands without the crowds. Getting a cheap cruise on the River to see the dragon blowing its fire and water is also a must. Cost us $12 each.
All the best with your future travels Richard and Karen. It was actually very sad listening to the struggles you’re having in your life. It would be hard for Karen too knowing what happened to you. This is just a suggestion. Have you thought about finding support groups in the places you travel? It might help and you could meet people who can relate to what happened to you. Keep well and happy. 💐💐
Thanks for the video. We went to Philippines last year for 6 weeks to check out where we will spend our time retiring. Did a couple of there islands but decided no its not for us.we have spent alot of time in bali, and hire a car that my husband drives,up to amed and around the north. We checked out Vietnam last year and coming back for a second look. Also looking at Thailand. Thanks for your time
Good video Richard. Much more relaxed and not doing reviews. Mix them up. Thailand. Chiang Mai in the walled city. Lovely base to do the mountains and Laos. Get a good place with a pool. Not cheap but well worth it. Use your international driver's licence and get travelling for day trips and overnight stays . Thailand is wonderful. Lyndon
