    This was a great video, could see everything and very helpful. I would love to see a video for French provincial colors, more blue, green, white. I have a huge mans chest I want to do and want to get a good idea of colors and layers.

    This is a great tutorial. I am VERY new at painting furniture and using supporting products to add interest. I have not used cracked patina yet (waiting for my delivery). I do have questions. I have noticed this product is used on pieces with a lot of detail however, I would like to try this on an armoire that is very flat and has no details, especially with the sides of the armoire. 1. Would this product be okay to add dimension or would it be too flat of a surface? 2. Would the sides of the armoire have to be done in sections once the cracked patina is applied as I feel that my first layer of paint may dry quicker than I can get the side done at one time? Thank you for any help you can share.

    If you put the dark wax over the gold does it dull the gold color?

    Do you do any buffing after applying the waxes??

      @French Faire co. I did this finish on a framed mirror. It’s beautiful! Could I use spray rustoleum Matte Clear Enamel to seal?

    • @amyhowardathome

      Wax will seal it perfectly!

    What brush did you use for your paint? I’m finding it difficult to use the paints without streaking

      I think Amy has a video where she mentions using a larger brush to paint large fields; and uses a smaller "chip" brush to get into carved areas or pieces that have raised designs. She seems to favor the chip brushes, probably because they are so cheap, and you can just easily replace them if they get too mucked up. I've seen other video demos where they use a tiny paint roller, which gives good coverage really fast. They have about 4-5" roller section, and a long handle maybe 12-14" Those paints I've seen demo'd were similar to the One-Step, in that they were meant to cover completely.
      Good Luck!🖌

    What is the difference between the Cracked Patina and the Gesso?

    • @amyhowardathome
      @amyhowardathome  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cracked Gesso is for milk paint while Cracked Patina is for One Step Paint!

    Can you use the crack patina on liquid leaf?

    Two observations that counter any claim of authenticity:
    Overdone, looks like Disney studio set work.
    New shiny hardware.
