I have these speakers and some older cheaper logitech ones. These are pretty good quality speakers that you would use if you are really enjoying the music you re listening to. cheaper ones dont have as good quality and you can't really feel the bass. With these ones you can hear the quality in them. Also I would like to mention that Logitech has excellent customer service.
I got my Logitech Z313 speakers yesterday and was not satisfied at all…probably will get an Edifier 1280 instead. No idea if it was something with my computer or if my speakers were defective 1. Not much bass. Reviews and sound tests show that the speakers have a lot of bass, but they had almost none for me. Trying to use software resulted in mushiness 2. Resonation. The right speaker’s chassis would resonate when playing certain frequencies, which made music sound awful 3. Slightly damaged subwoofer box. It was bought brand new from BestBuy 4. Bad distortion. Playing content at medium volume (volume control at half, Windows volume at around 60) resulted in terrible distortion
Yeah, I'd say you got a defective or damaged one. Both of my sets are doing amazing. They bass does drop off though in larger rooms, but in an average room 10x10ft or smaller they should do great.
Bro, I have just spent 10 days looking at new speakers to get for my laptop. Hell man, these sound better than any I have listened to on YT. I thought it was your mic but from what you said at the end obviously not. In my country, these are $74 but as it is Christmas I might as well bite the bullet and look at getting bookshelf speakers in the new year. Thanks mate.
Crazy enough, I actually found a used set of these exact ones from a thrift store for 10 dollars. It looks like it wasn't even touched. But these are very good. I use them on television for movies etc. They are very clear & the bass isn't overwhelming as you can obviously you can tell.

Hi thanks for the good review on the Z313 logitech speakers I just brought mines today from officemax great buy I haven't hooked them up yet I will be soon thank you I heard the highs and the base sounds really good I was a little scared at first on buying them after your review I will be keeping them.
On the advice of a friend I upgraded my TV speakers to the Z313's. I'm not big on TV watching so sound bars or large (expensive) speakers ain't necessary. I do listen to music and have full range Ohm Acoustics and EPI speakers in my hifi system. These Z313's are great, especially for the price of $29.99 I paid. You didn't mention the satellites as having a frequency response of 48-20khz +/-3dB. So, just how deep (+/-3dB) does the sub go???? As I'm very satisfied with the sound this question is really just academic. Nice informative video. One last thought, the satellites are 2.75" drivers which make for pretty lousy dispersion of high frequencies. However this does not seem to "pan out" in the listening of the Z313's.
From my reading and looking at the frequency response charts, it looks like the 48-20khz range they advertise is the full range of both the sub and satellite speakers.

In general, magnets weren't good around computers in the past because of the old style hard disk drives. Most new computers don't come with those magnetic hard drives and have solid state storage which isn't affected by magnets. Good rule of thumb either way though as you never know. I still have a couple computers with massive storage drives that are magnetic.

Hi! I have those speakers, and my sub-woofer doesn't work... All the cables are connected correctly, all the drivers are updated. The sound is loud and clear from the satellites speakers, but nothing comes out from the sub-woofer =( I can feel it shake just a little bit only. When I open the sound mixer, if I turn off the left and right satellite speakers, there is no sound at all. If I go to settings and test the sounds 2.1 (or even 5.1), when it tests the subwoofer, no sound comes out of it. Do you know what I can do to fix it please? My system is Windows 10.

They are actually pretty good. They're blended well, but depends on your surroundings. In my room where my gaming machine is, they sound awesome. In my garage it's not as good, because the room is so large, it still sounds good though.
They are really great little speakers. I have studio with 10 ft ceilings it rocks this place. Just loud enuf to piss off the neighbors. However I've had issues with subwoofer not working. Thatd be my only complaint. Im currently trying to fix it.

That monitor is just for firing up computers (test bench basically). My bigger editing and gaming monitors are in my office. Don't need a big monitor to install windows. he he
Anyone know how to solve this problem? So I just bought these and hooked them up to my tv and when put at max volume the volume projected is very low even at max in the tv but when switched from connected to tv to my phone and play music it way louder is it my tv or something else?

You would definitely notice a difference. I use those S-120 speakers are work and they're ok, but the Z313 sound better and have the subwoofer which would make your TV viewing experience nicer.
Just curious as to bass response of the sub. Any idea of the +/- 3dB rating??? I don't expect deep bass but lower than 50hz +/- 3dB would be sweet. Thanks for the advice. My S-120's were less than $14 with tax, so the Z-313 at $30 would be a steal in sound quality.
I bought these speakers and i connected them and no sound is coming out or its super low i tried to update the driver but it says its already updated what can i do? this has been the worst 2 hours of my life trouble shooting
Since they plug in using a head phone jack, try plugging them into another device like a phone or music player, if they are still super quiet on another device it's probably something with the speakers. If they work fine on the other device then it's something with your computer.
Can someone please explain to me why every manufacturer wraps up the connectors that are attached with super thin gauged wire in plastic and then put a freaking piece of invisible tape on it making it damn near impossible to remove without breaking the wire or pulling out of the connector?? Seriously just had this problem last night trying to remove the plastic wrapper off a itty-bitty WiFi card wire.

Last week my sister came to my room and ask to listen some music in my Logitech z537. And I thought that she want some speakers (also she losing almost all they music from her ipad). I never use more than 40% of the volume of z537, so I was thinking in give her z207 because it has Bluetooth or the z313 because of the better sound. So, I ask which one she likes the most and she said no one, and she doesn’t want speakers, she want an iPhone 11. So, I won’t give her anything.
The z333 I'm sure would be a much better setup. For the price of the z313's though, I was very impressed. The z333 have a more power, bigger speakers and even a nicer volume control. But for a budget system I definitely didn't expect what I got from the z313.

Cy Sy, yes go for the z333 if you can. It's louder and has better and clearer sound (especially in the low range), relative to the price difference. The z313 ae not bad and great for the price but it does get a bit muffled when hearing low range and sometimes mid range sounds, especially on low volumes. the z333 are much better in this regard and also have a bass knob to lower or increase bass .

Are your speakers outside? If so, place them high up. If it’s indoors, well you have bigger problems, let’s say you house needs to be evacuated, and fumigated. I’m serious, that’s a safety hazard. But, if you want to save them you need some electrical skill.
Depends on your purpose. As a set of desktop speakers, I think the Logitechs would be a better fit. Sound wise in general, you'll probably get a little more base response from the Logitech as the have a dedicated subwoofer. The Mid to Highs on sound will probably be close as both sets have around the 2" speakers.
so are we all just going to ignore the fact that he just tried to show the sound quality of the speakers by recording music from its speakers so we could hear it over our speakers?
That is a good point, but you still have a baseline from what your speakers sound like. There will never be a good way to show how something sounds via a recording. But it also gives me a baseline of comparison when I review other speakers as long as I use the same mic.
I actually appreciate that he did it this way. Watch it again with a good pair of headphones on and you'll clearly hear the distinct sound these speakers have. His mic picks it up perfectly. I have these speakers. Awesome cans. The little sub does it's job and hits nicely. Any software EQ included with most media players can bring these things to another level.
It depends on the room you've got it in and placement of the subwoofer. Under the desk seems to have really good balanced bass from my experience. The more open area you put it in the less bass you'll have. The mic I used when recording this also seems to be a little heavy on the low end frequency pick up, so might be getting a little of that as well.
Definitely a weird issue to have with a 3-4 inch woofer. he he Good placement of the woofer makes a difference though, I've had mine setup a few different ways and I've noticed some locations have more bass than others. I've even had some where it wasn't enough.

I'd try them in a different device - laptop / phone / mp3 player and see if the subwoofer works. If it doesn't there is probably a bad connection.
It prevents my family in other rooms from hearing my music to loud, because it is not super powerful but great

Honestly, I know this doesn’t help. But I’m not sure. Maybe your tv app/cable box/satellite isn’t projecting full volume.

will this work for my ps4 if i plug the speakers into my monitor? I also have my pc connected to this monitor and I just use a headset for my pc
Yes, as long as you have sound being sent to that monitor via hdmi or an audio cable yes it should work.

You can control bass on your PC with an app. I use one off of the chrome store.

Yes, you will need to have a way to plug in the headphone jack. It also won't have anything beyond stereo sound.

If you have a 3.5mm headphone jack on your tv then you should be able to use them.

Depends on your purpose. As a set of desktop speakers, I think the Logitechs would be a better fit. Sound wise in general, you'll probably get a little more base response from the Logitech as the have a dedicated subwoofer. The Mid to Highs on sound will probably be close as both sets have around the 2" speakers.

so are we all just going to ignore the fact that he just tried to show the sound quality of the speakers by recording music from its speakers so we could hear it over our speakers?
That is a good point, but you still have a baseline from what your speakers sound like. There will never be a good way to show how something sounds via a recording. But it also gives me a baseline of comparison when I review other speakers as long as I use the same mic.
I actually appreciate that he did it this way. Watch it again with a good pair of headphones on and you'll clearly hear the distinct sound these speakers have. His mic picks it up perfectly.
I have these speakers. Awesome cans. The little sub does it's job and hits nicely. Any software EQ included with most media players can bring these things to another level.
Bass seems overpowering.
It depends on the room you've got it in and placement of the subwoofer. Under the desk seems to have really good balanced bass from my experience. The more open area you put it in the less bass you'll have. The mic I used when recording this also seems to be a little heavy on the low end frequency pick up, so might be getting a little of that as well.
There is NO adjustment on the SUB !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Definitely a weird issue to have with a 3-4 inch woofer. he he Good placement of the woofer makes a difference though, I've had mine setup a few different ways and I've noticed some locations have more bass than others. I've even had some where it wasn't enough.
