Today is Mike's Birthday! Drop a happy birthday in the comments below for that sweet TH-cam Algorithm & for Mike too... *Note we missed the Wireless Charger, there is one.
H B-day Mike!!!! Also how are you? Also Beautiful car. My parents are trying to decide between getting a Range Rover. Or the Lincoln Aviator. Please help!!! We currently have a 2013. BMW 320i with 112,211 miles on it. And it has a lot of problems and we need a new car. But we don’t need a massive SUV. We’ve had our fair share of those. We are preferably looking for a used car because the last time my parents tried buying a brand new car they were both involved in accidents. And it’s really only me that’s gonna be getting rides from them to and from school. Since my brother has his own car already. We want something that’s big but not too big and something with legroom. That’s something our current car doesn’t have and we want Bluetooth well better Bluetooth than our current car at least. Our current car has Bluetooth. But it SUCKS. My dad is 6’2 to 6’3 and I’m 6’1 to 6’2 both of us are very tall neither one of us fit in our current car so maybe this would be a good upgrade? We may also get a second car in another year or so since both of my parents will be starting their new jobs in Albany New York. We currently live in Massachusetts. Thank you!
This car definitely is on the Mercedes and bmw level. You compared it to a BUICK? A ACURA? Those companies are premium at BEST. the Lincoln is a luxury car.
Great video! I'm actually 1 of those consumers who considered a BMW X5/X7, Audi Q8 and ended up getting the Lincoln Aviator. It has it flaws (like any other vehicle) but I'm extremely happy with my decision. After all, I won't go broke trying to maintain it for years in!
@@robinrhoden5450 No, I have not. I only have issues with the alerts of there being a powertrain malfunction BUT there’s nothing wrong at all. I feel this is an issue b/c if there is ever something really wrong then I wouldn’t know b/c the error isn’t reliable or trustworthy.
I was in the market and didn't start out looking at Lincolns. A BMW, Audi, Lexus, and Volvo we’re all options but I ended up driving one and there was no turning back! Love my Grand Touring and talk about pep!
LOVE MY 2023 LINCOLN AVIATOR! I did a lot (and I mean a lot) of research before ordering this luxury SUV. We are GM people and since 1999 have driven 2 Suburbans, 1 Yukon XL, and our latest...a 2015 Yukon XL Denali. I am a brand loyalist and did not really expect to move away from GM BUT on a trip to Boston a few years back the rental company gave us a Lincoln Nautilus and it was so much fun to drive. I saw the 2020 Aviator when it rolled out and thought it was striking. We don't get new vehicles often, and honestly with our active lives and 3 children (baseball, softball, and ALL the other activities) needed the full size SUV. On a trip to Colorado this past March I wanted to rent an Aviator but they did not have one available, so I asked for a Range Rover. I enjoyed driving the Range Rover and considered it for our next purchase, but I just kept coming back to the Aviator. Then my brother bought a BMW X5 and I drove it and enjoyed riding around with him in it.....but I kept coming back to the Aviator. I wanted to buy and experience American luxury! Finally, I test drove the only Aviator on the lot at Planet Lincoln in Spring, TX and I was blown away. The acceleration, the handling, the interior, the Revel stereo system....all of it was awesome and I was sold on it. I pre-ordered a 2023 before I left. That was May 26th and a mere 3 months later, my custom-built black 2023 Lincoln Aviator Black Label AWD, chalet interior with all the bells and whistles came! We picked it up Saturday, August 27th and had the best experience. The drive home (about 2 hours) was so much fun!! It handles so well and feels so responsive and comfortable, and the massaging seats felt sooooo good. LOVE the lighting, both interior and exterior and the way the Lincoln bows and greets with the "light show" you when you walk up to it! The lighted Lincoln badge in the front is such a nice touch and the adaptive lighting when you are turning curves was really bright! The 28 speaker Revel speaker system makes you feel like you are in the front row of a concert and the little demonstration that is available in the "Sound" app on the infotainment system blew us away! The kids keep commenting on the huge sunroof and how sporty the car is. They love the big console in the back and how they can control the music. Also neat how the second and third rows have their own separate AC/heating controls. My father-in-law even liked it, and he is a GM man only who said we would regret buying a Lincoln/Ford product. I am hopeful that all of the kinks from the initial release of the 2020 model have been worked out. I know the Navigator has been a dependable vehicle over the years and I would expect nothing less on the 4th year edition of the Aviator. I'm so happy that Lincoln has such a beautiful automobile in their lineup. We could have bought anything, including a Cadillac Escalade, but for us the Lincoln Aviator checked all the boxes!
Just got the same 2023 Black Label combination Friday. I went in and was honest what I thought a 2023 was worth today and it worked out. $10k under msrp on $82,225 so I thought they could get there. The discount did include the factory $1k rebate and %2.9 interest for 48 months. I know it’s a model year and a half old but I can live with the deal I struck up. A dealer in MD was $12k under msrp and one in GA was $11k under but too far. My local WI dealers laughed at my offer so the dealer in MN was where I had to drive.
The 2022 Lincoln Aviator does have wireless charging inside the console. There is a clip looking feature. That's it. The bigger issue I don't like is the lack of front passenger seat memory buttons. With all that adjustability they put in, the passenger is SOL if someone changes their prior time consuming configuration.
I don't understand why you only have 127K subscribers...you know your stuff the video transitions are super clean and there is no reason why you don't have more subscribers than Doug. He makes his videos 30-40 min long and you keep it short but informative. Definitely subscribing!! Keep up the amazing work!
Appreciate the love! Being in Canada, we don't get the new stuff as fast as the Americans do, so we may have to fly south to review cars in the future!
One thing nobody on any of these reviews ever talks about is what happens when they break ? Had a BMW X5 M50 I live in VA only 1 dealer in my area Eng wiring harness burned up took forever before that had a Mercedes GLE 450 it died with 3500 miles in N Michigan nearest dealer was 300 miles took a month. Ford/ Lincoln dealers everywhere
Sir, as a FORD owner, the way you get around those handles is with your key fob. An owner, like myself, most of the time, I unlock my car with my key fob. Then when I go to open my car, in the next second or two, the door unlatches and an opens simultaneously.
Hey there- Great job on the video! I purchased the Aviator Grand Touring Black Label (plug-in hybrid). I love it! Like a few people and yourself mentioned, there are a few flaws, but I'd say overall it's closer to an A++then an A, or lower. (Mid 9's out of 10, 95 to 100 out of 100, etc etc) I won't reiterate all of the positive aspects you thoroughly covered in the video, but I definitely concur with you on both the positive and negative features. The "kneel down" welcoming suspension is an underrated feature I feel. Also, with the plug-in hybrid there is an incredible jump in efficiency. Of course the range isn't very far when it's switched to full electric mode, but when it is switched to conserve (full hybrid mode) the MPG improves from what you would expect for a Mid size SUV, to the MPG of something similar to a small economy car. I could go on about every detail, but it is not necessary thanks to the video. The one minor thing to point out is that there's a wireless charging area in the front center counsel. Personally I think it could be in a better location, but it does exist. Any chance you can review the Lincoln Zephyr (only sold in Asia as of now). And if so, is there a Zephyr Black Label? Thanks and keep the videos coming!
I drove the BMW X7 M and wanted the speed of that. After driving the Audi and thinking it was slow, i tried the Aviator out and winner winner!! Love my Aviator!
Love my Burgundy 2011 MKX but do love the nice bluish color available in the Aviator. Since when did the Black Label become available in Canada? Guess enough folks asked for it? Another vehicle in the segment would be the Genesis GV8. Hard to update to another ICE vehicle however. Even more difficult when I an into my 80th year and only 109K KM on the MKX which is a car I love.
Happy Birthday! Thank you for noticing the details and then commenting on them. At the Aviator's price point the small details can change a buying decision. Fantastic review!
If customers themselves sit in an Aviator vs BMW X5 vs Mercedes GLE vs Lexus RX, they'll know Aviator is much more premium materials, stronger engine, better speakers etc. Everything.
The wireless charger is located in the front center storage area towards the driver side, just slip the phone snd it charges. Btw with fuel prices now a days is excellent with standard driving mode went from north dade to the keys back and forth only spent 1/2 tank.. A+++for that
DP - I was looking at either the GLE, X5, Q8, Range, XC90, YukonDenali, and Navigator...ended up with an Aviator after going for a test drive in a Navigator (not old, mid 30's). Hindsight, the Denali, Range, and GLE would have better due to resale value in the current markets. Lincoln could improve on the sound damping, but compared to the GLE, X5 and Q8 the interior feels more spacious and seats are comfy. Cargo space is amazing as well. As someone mentioned already, I find it odd how the passenger seat doesn't have memory buttons. The cargo cover doesn't have mounts for when the 3rd row are folded. At high speeds, the built in spray/windshield wipers drip over the drivers window=residue. The console compartment doesn't offer additional charging ports requiring the passenger to utilize the rear seat console plugs. The "ambient" lights are a joke.
@@myleswilson7789 So far so good. Part of the reason I choose American was because of parts/flexibility with mechanics across NA for when I do drive long hauls.
they should give us the 3.5L (~500hp), bring in the updated 10 speed (800ft lbs rated) and the updated pancake EV motor (330 ft lbs, 210 hp) then put 305's on all 4 corners and integrate ZF's 15 degree rear wheel steer. Air suspension with road preview, black label interior. There's your Aviator RS. Basic leather interior, mechanical suspension, delete rear steer. There's your Explorer RS.
Still love the MKT! My mom has a 2012 MKT AWD ECOBOOST fully loaded except dvd players. Best road touring car ever!! Especially with the 2nd row cooler/freezer!!! 160k miles and still twin turbo boosting strong!!!
I was just about to pull the trigger on a 2022 Pre-Owned Aviator that was just traded in with only 2500 miles. The sales guy called me back and said they have to replace the engine, so they aren’t going to put it on the market for a few more weeks. I changed my mind and now I no longer want an Aviator. That sucks cause I really liked it. Now I don’t trust it.
What are your thoughts regarding the current electrical issues any system shutdowns that owners are currently reporting on their 2022 Aviators. I’m hoping that these will improve for 2023. Also what about sync 4…. Should we hold out for this upgrade before purchasing?? Honest opinion please
The aviator does have wireless charging. It’s located inside the center glove box. It’s located inside a little flap against the wall of the glove box interior
he didn't do his homework before reviewing apparently...not to be compared to a Buick Enclave. This Aviator goes up against Infiniti QX60 and Range Rover Sport. Test drive them WITH air suspension and the 28 Revel audio on Lincoln makes it a top pick for me. Already have one on order!
@@ReelEagleOne just got mine Monday. A black label which is insane!!!! I was reluctant and just traded in my rover supercharger and was feeling sad about it but DAMNNNNNNN this Lincoln is luxury, comfort and class like no other. The only thing that stood out to me is that the Lincoln doesn’t have the braking system that the RR has. I’ll just slow down a bit, lol. Which works fine while chillen with massaging seats. It’s a Gem!! Your gonna love it!! I’m shockingly beyond impressed. And Buick,,c’mon. Compare that with a Kia please.
I know it's purely subjective but if this was a boxing match then pound for pound which the best between the 2022 Lincoln Aviator and the top of the range Range Rover ?
It would be great if you could throw a review of the Corsair Grand Touring (PHEV), really interested on hearing your thoughts on it since we are seriously considering but we're on the fence between that and an EV or the Sportage/Sorento PHEV
I’m a Lincoln aviator black labor owner myself I gotta disagree with you I’m 35 and guess what color I have it yes sir that burgundy is an amazing car 🚗 and yes I would prefer before any BMW X5 or Gle what is my reason Power
Definitely the correct competition. My decision was aviator vs xt6. Felt aviator was quieter, more power went there. Wife actually liked her srx more than the xt6.

@@rhydynamic8306 fuhkkk that is a hard decision, and those 4xe are coming.
It looks amazing
Love the content!
It does have wireless charging in the center console
Lincoln way nicer than the Audi and BMW after driving all 3
Are you sure there's not a wireless charger in the center console? It's on the driver's side and looks like a big clip.
We missed it! Yes there is one!
#Lincoln over Cadillac
Of course it flies, Lincoln's come standard with jet turbine and fold out wings
What are your thoughts regarding the current electrical issues any system shutdowns that owners are currently reporting on their 2022 Aviators.
I’m hoping that these will improve for 2023.
Also what about sync 4…. Should we hold out for this upgrade before purchasing??
Honest opinion please
Deals and inventory as Likely a factor in todays market.
Great video. Would be good to have the unit conversions on screen (miles to km, gallon to litre etc)
Super thanks 🙏🏻🌷
Bro you leave under a rock…Oakland, California gas is $5.89, if you’re lucky $5.64
actually aviator has wireless charging inside drivers armrests
Can't believe we missed it! Thanks!
th-cam.com/video/4AFmpNxkCME/w-d-xo.html
saw it on this video
There is wireless charging in the console, my 2021 Aviator has one, it came with the heads up option…
I think Sam CarLegion made a video showing that the Aviator is actually the size of a BMW X7 not a BMW X5
Wrap all the black and roof except the wheel to carbon fiber this thing will look sick.
The wireless charger is in the center console. It's like a pouch. At least it is in the one I drive
I’m a Lincoln aviator black labor owner myself I gotta disagree with you I’m 35 and guess what color I have it yes sir that burgundy is an amazing car 🚗 and yes I would prefer before any BMW X5 or Gle what is my reason Power
Check inside the center console for the wireless charger feature?
Yeah we totally missed it, made a pinned comment about it.
8:18 it would be awesome if you would review the grand touring (the hybrid) for 2023.
Idk how u can not mention Cadillac XT6
That’s your real compition.
I just got me one and yeah it was a tough choice but I am happy with the XT6
Definitely the correct competition. My decision was aviator vs xt6. Felt aviator was quieter, more power went there. Wife actually liked her srx more than the xt6.
