It's kinda mindblowing to think that even despite the less-than-favorable RNG and other minor bumps this is still a WR run with a whoppin' 28 second neck to the 2nd in the leaderboard, and that this record has stood unbeaten for almost two years already.
There is also a glitch with the start button on level 3 if you have the multitap and turbo on. You can jump and start the spike wall and skip to the final level.
EU version can be completed in 4 minutes thanks to some unique glitches in that version. JP got some tricks which only works in that version, the lava skip in area 7 for example. Unlimited continues and more tolerable RNG. Bunch of small stuff too like lacking the US / PAL intro and no frog sitting right next to Jason after you finish the game.

This was very impressive. That vehicle controls like a bathtub with wheels on ice, but you make it look super smooth.
did you play the non Japanese version? because in the Japanese version the ice controls are way smoother

Thanks! Pausing skips the camera animation when you enter a transition, saving a little bit of time.

You gain a third of a second at each door pause,it skip the scrolling animation 👍
