What's the horsepower of this beast? I know the 80's 454 was anemic and obviously this isn't a stock motor, so I gotta ask. I think the factory 454 had something like 200-250 HP. This sounds like near double the power.
Pretty fast start up for being cold blooded. Sounds like you have an exhaust leak with that popping and crackling. Are you running the factory big block manifolds? I know they Crack

@@RcFlashlight put new pins in and/or put a piece of 1/2" pex on the striker. Mine closes very easy

my 74 K20 with a 350 is cold blooded and it starts that easy
@jim smith my uncles 454 when it was properly tuned would do the same. Barely flick the key and she fires up.
Certain mufflers give that sound. My k5 jimmy with a magnaflow has that kinda sound

No idea. If I had to guess around 8-12 at best
if you need to ask MPG on a 454 then maybe you dont know what the engine is.

Plugs are wrong heat range for your engine design cam,compression etc.
Got a hotter set since then and runs much better, but you’re right on
My Big Block Mark Four does the same thing, what plugs did you correct this with?
