I've spent seven plus hours a day in auto-rickshaws when I was touring Southern India. They are a lot more comfortable than they look, and they hold there own for a few hundred Meters off road. Amazing things, better than any car for sightseeing.
They should start exporting this to many parts of South America and Africa with different name brands and different dimensions this will create more jobs

I like the general design and yellow colour scheme of the model shown. Just two factors, they should build the chassis and passenger bodywork of pressed steel, wood and plastic, instead of angle iron and box forms which is welded together here. There is no weight (and material) saving. The pressed steel is lighter and saves on assembly man hours as it is mostly spot welded. The engine, no idea what engine it has, but one of the best engines has been the Honda 50-70 cc. It has been powering on since the 1950's. If they can get a 2 cylinder liquid cooled 4 stroke OHC unit like that of good capacity, then they would have a really good, reliable product.

Give a little "positive camber" to the back wheels on the rear axel, then your rickshaw won't do dangerous wheelies. All the Apé rickshaws had a positive camber. When 3 passengers are seated in the rear, the weight will push the tires from positive camber to neutral camber improving the contact of the wheels and road, better breaking and lesser wear and tear on tire. Currently the rear wheels have neutral camber, once passengers sir, it will change to negative camber and is bad for ride and tire wear. Look at the front tires of F1 cars in contrast, they have Negative camber. During a corner turn at high speeds, the G force will push the front wheels to neutral camber, tire will make full contact with the ground, change the direction of the car and not skid.
u r absolutely wrong bro.... ape has independent suspension but this auto with non indipendent suspension with differential and drive shaft..so the nutral camber is fixed even if there is 3 passengers in the back side....in case of ape u r right......but in racing cars using little negative camber because while cornering at high speed the wheels on opposite side will pushed upward direction and then total load will be on inner wheels..then inner side wheels will get more contact patch because of negative camber,[ in this case u r wrong] wheel will not going to neutral camber

Thankfully that was the floor, and I'm not sure how much of a scratch that would be if you could even find it. If it was the dash or side where you saw it while driving or entering that would be unsightly, but it's just the floor and didn't look like it would be noticeable. Would be ideal to have a small table beside them for their tools though. I agree with treating it well. For those that say it's just $800, well for a lot of people that's all they can afford but they are proud because they own transportation now and can drive places, that's a big deal (even in the US a kid nearby just bought a used $600 motorcycle, and was very proud because it was better than what they had). It may be "junk" to some people, but to the owner it's an achievement to be able to afford it. I take better care of my used bicycle waxing and washing it showroom clean more than most people with million dollar cars, I try to appreciate what I have (I'm sure someday I'll have a million dollar car, I can afford a McLaren right now at just 27 years old but I think it would attract police attention more than I want, and I'd be worried someone would scratch it or door ding it out of spite without even knowing me out of jealousy). Either way I if it's "junk" or a million bucks, I don't want to scratch anyone's stuff, it's still their stuff.

But they are multinational companies. and they have much bigger factories than the factory in this video.
