Amazing. I own a moving company and never thought I'd hear a training on closing clients for moving. His teachings HAVE helped me close WAY more deals but this taught me it's simply about conviction! Word tracks too :-)

I immediately implemented his script with the "I've heard many moving nightmares" approach to create uncertainty and then used his "iron clad handshake" over the phone approach to create certainty. This is after I do the whole estimate process where I've been using Andy's phone call techniques for example pausing and saying "hey while I pull up the estimate sheet, how's your day going? Where you calling from? Small talk small talk small talk get to know each other and build rapport". Closing rate has gone up at least 20-25% at higher prices. Great stuff.

First of all stop being black, and stop thinking about customers in terms of race. I sold Kirby door to door and was successful, most of my customers were white. Get the Easter bunny out of your mind, be genuine and earnest. Deliver a superior product, none cares if you're black, blue, or purple!
Every successful corporation has their own “university“ or type of retreat where they emphasize a great deal on training. I work for a company where I was the branch manager, and they were great before I went to Real Estate. That company‘s name was “Granite Telecommunications“ we had sales university and project management university that we called “Granite university“. This separated us from the competition because the competition did not have the extracurricular training for its people. Thus, Andy is 100% correct in this assessment.
To the man's credit he seems to possess a high degree of verbal/linguistic fluency and improvisation. That sort of focused presence and flexibility can likely be coached to an extent, but is ideally cultivated through diverse situational experience. While I commend his composure and audience engagement, I imagine the most compelling and persuasive salesmen tend to be blessed with an innate conversational prowess and extroversion that becomes further refined by deliberate preparation/specialized knowledge.
tbh I know nothing about sales tactics, but can imagine how creating a sense of urgency/scarcity might induce a kneejerk decision that's less optimal for the customer than had they stopped to reflect on the options available. Unless time really is of the essence for some exceptional reason, the buyer shouldn't have to feel pressured to pull the trigger immediately @@boomerdc
He is saying: Stay present in the negotiation. Too many people think in the future or keep dwelling on the past in the moment. Therefore their detached from the negotiation at hand. When he means “2 feet on the ground” it’s your present state. You’re not even thinking about getting a commission, you’re just learning the situation at hand.

When I was seeing them trying to pitch they talked about the increase of your bills, and you made the point that we should make the customer say yes. No one asked: "do you want to decrease your bills?" I mean who doesn't, so I think that's a question that could be a good start. Tell me what you think if you read if❤❤
