It's good to make sure all the scratches are as gone as possible because it might manage to load, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't freeze or crash at some point during play when it can't read a file.
considering upgrading from the JFJ easy pro to this, but the key card system has to be one of the most scammy things i have ever seen. You spend $1500 dollars on the machine and they dare to lock you out of the machine YOU purchased until you buy their key card
Glad you were able to have some of your Thursday to do what you want. This machine is awesome. At $0.15 per minute are you going to have a base price which disc you will run through the machine? i.e. disc sells for $10 I’ll run it through.
Good stuff. In comparison i just had two disk cleaned at a local game store and was charged $3 for one disk and $5 for the other. Prices are different due to condition of disk. Not sure i am ready for that purchase but that will give you an idea of what you are saving each disk.

My wii is actually pretty good at reading extremely heavily scratched discs.. I don't think I've ever seen one now read by the console, usually if its really horribly scratched it will crash during loading. You should clean the disc off first just to make sure it was the scratches and not the grease and grime stopping the laser reading it initially. Still its good to resurface scratched discs as people seem to be under the illusion if a disc loads it is 'working' but it could very well stop working say 10min into gameplay or 2 hours into gameplay. With xbox 360 games you can test with install to hard drive to ensure disc is completely readable. When you do a lot of xbox games and the discs fail during install, first say at 4%... then after a repair 29% .. then 87% then finally completes after a few repair cycles, you get used to telling what 'bad' scratches look like.
Just in case anyone has questions, if you use these sporadically even with care and cleaning they don’t work long. I got about 400 minutes out of mine. Honestly the JFJ works so much better with just a little more effort. I’ve owned both and prefer the 160 dollar model to an 1800 dollar model

Discs of any sort, CD, DVD, GAMES, are an old technology, but i have hundreds of discs. Most are in great shape, some aren't. I wanna buy a disc repair machine, like this one. I wanna fix as many discs as i can.
Just got ours about a month and a half ago, works really well. Only annoying this is the card and cleaning the pads. Does a really good job though. Wish it could completely eliminate the deep scratches though.
You were talking about prototyping and creating a new product on the podcast with John. What about adapting a disc cleaning machine for gamecube games? I bet you could do it with an Arduino.
Personally I would give that disc another 4 minutes. If it would allow you to sell the disc as very good condition as opposed to good, the extra few cent is worth it. Some of the scratches look pretty deep and might make the disc crash during gameplay. If you were to decide on trying another machine, disc go devil can be found cheap ($300ish used working condition or $600-$700 new) and I would say its more effective at deep scratches despite rti claim that the eco pro has a higher cut rate than the devil. The disc comes out needing spray and wiping as it uses high volume of liquidy polish.. as opposed to small amounts of thick polish, but tthere is no consumable chip. You can use whatever polish you want and can even make your own pad material as long as you have some original pad mounts.
I have the eco auto smart, which is the big brother of the eco pro 2 here and I love it! Great investment on these CD repair machines, you can't go wrong.

Each refill kit will do 800 minutes of resurfacing. Cost about 90 to 100 dollars.
