the most important part of pronouncing the name of that pepper is the hand gesture. I applaud your mastery of the Italian language and your mastery of pot roastary!
I agree with your way of doing it, so many other people doing it in the crockpot don’t brown the meat first. I read somewhere that you should always brown meat before putting it in the crockpot. Yours looks excellent! Trying it this weekend. :-)
Dhaaaaang!! It's my 2nd time making it exactly your way. There's a lot of the same vids on yt but yours is good get straight to it. I think we're having this once or twice a month from now on. I swear this is sooo amazingly delicious and easy. Too easy. Thanks again!!😋😋😋
Yesterday, I went to a dinner where the chef made this recipe and substituted Chicken for the pot roast. It was amazing and everyone loved how juicy and tender the chicken was.
My man, had friends over last night for dinner after making the Mississippi pot roast just the way you made it ! Hands down the best pot roast I’ve ever had! Thank you for your recipe and tips on searing the meat! Everyone loved it!
This is one of the best HOW TO....less talking and to the point. I made this several times....but I added in carrots and potatoes. After its done...I let it cool off and place it in the fridge overnight, seems to bring all the juices together. Just saying..... Make this....you will not be disappointed.....
I've got mine in my crockpot right now, Can't wait to try it. Thank you for sharing it. And yes, you did make me smile, Hope my friends smile too, I shared the video with them as will.
I think searing the meat is damn good, but I prefer putting the seasoning on it and “marinading” it overnight. I haven’t taste tested to see a difference, but it’s nothing short of amazing every time.
Hey thanks For it sharing great information especially that you said don’t use the ranch dips mix which is exactly what I did the first time thanks for mentioning that it is important
@@memybackyard8004 it was excellent! Set it up, went to bed and 10 hours later it was falling apart without effort. I took some over to my parents’ house for Sunday night dinner. It was a big hit 👍
New subscriber, looks amazing. I made this in my crockpot yesterday didn’t come out as tender as yours. I think searing the roast is really key! Nicely done!
I add...sauteed onions, garlic, carrots and potatoes. Thicken gravy with sour cream. Then let it cool down...put in fridge overnight...serve the next day. All the juices come together...YUMMY

Your spin on pot roast was interesting, however, I cannot imagine pot roast without onions, carrots, potatoes, etc. I wonder what the effect of the peperoncino peppers have on the veggies?
Looks amazing! I’m gonna try this recipe at home. What sides would you recommend with it/ could you potatoes & carrots in the crockpot at same time too?
Glad you enjoyed the video. The last time we cooked it we had Creamed potatoes and Collards greens, it went perfectly. Yes you can absolutely add potatoes and carrots I've done that variation as well. Thanks for the support
Cristian thanks for watching, my suggestion would be if anything you can add a 1/4 cup of beef broth to the recipe. Since we didn't use a thicken agent like flour or corn starch, its not a heavy or thick gravy at all, more of a jus.
My mom made this for me the other day, God damn I swear one of the best roasts I've had. I love pepperonchinis so I told her put extra extra lol... Mhmm I wish there was more I could add to it though too.. Maybe some onions...idk shits hitting right though
@@memybackyard8004 I covered the rump in creole seasoning before searing. Your vid used a whole stick of butter and I was sold. Couple hours in. My house smells amazing.
This was one of the most sodium laden recipes I have seen yet. 1 packet of Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing = 2,240 mg Sodium, 1 packet of McCormick's Au Jus Mix = 3,600 mg Sodium and 12 Mezzetta Peperoncini peppers = 390 mg Sodium. That's a total of 6,230 mg Sodium for one pot roast. If the pot roast serves 4 people, each person would consume 1,557.5 mg of Sodium. This is not counting the amount of brine and salt in the butter. The American Heart Association recommends and ideal limit of no more than 1,500 mg per day for most adults. This one portion of pot roast would be over that limit, and that's just 1 serving of food! Yikes!
Finally someone who does it right! I don't sear the meat first but i comes out jist as good ether way.
