    Let me add my thanks as well. My wife went over a bump in our 2012 Tundra, and then the fan started making a noise. I followed the video (and can confirm that it is the same procedure for a Tundra), and the fan/motor assembly was easy to remove as described.
    I turned it upside down, and about 5 acorn shells fell out. Put it back together, and now is just as quiet as before.
    Thanks for taking the time to post this video.

    Much appreciated. I was able to replace the blower motor in about 10 min. thanks to the video. Otherwise I would have struggled to figure out how to get the fasteners off and may have broken them.

    Thanks, Dude!! Had an airplane propeller type noise when the fan was on high. Followed your video. Other than a difficult work position, your instructions were spot on. Mine is a 2016 Tundra, but worked virtually the same. Cleaned out the acorns from mice or chipmunks and it works fine now. Thanks again for posting the video!

      I already bought a new assembly, if I can find something stuck in the old one, I'll return the new one. I just didn't want to have to crawl up under there, take it out, find out I can't fix it and then find out they don't have one in stock.

    Thanks a lot for the excellent video instruction. I am an 73 year old, occasional mechanic and was save over $200 on the dealership price for replacing a blower motor on a 2012 Sequoia. I took my time, used the video, a flat head screw driver, a stationary flash light, and inexpensive socket screw driver to do it. In less than 2 hours, it was done in spite of my inexperience with repairs of this type.

    Thank you very much for doing this video! My blower started making noise after I replaced my cabin air filter. With the help of your video instructions, I was able to pull the fan out and remove the dried out leaf that fell into the blower with very little cursing! :-)

    Just changed my blower motor on a 2008 and didn't have to do any of this glove box and trim removal. I just looked up from underneath it, unhooked the harness and unscrewed 3 t-25 screws, about 5 minutes. Then reverse the process approximately 5 minutes. Simple and saved hundreds of dollars

    • @repairvehicle
      @repairvehicle  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Someone must have removed the trim in the past and never put back

      @@repairvehicle Might be. But it doesn't have any slots like the one in this video. It's definitely OK because I don't need a dust collector hanging under the dash anyway.

    Some additional info.. had the vibration for a long while, as people have talked about. When it got REALLY bad it would sound like gargling rocks for about 5 sec then stop. If I turned the ventilation off and then on again, it would repeat. I think it somehow overloads and then locks out till the system is reset. I was probably a year from the start of vibration till it finally died.
    Can't wait to pull it to see how bad it is.

    Thanks for the nice video. My 2010 Sequoia Limited had a weird vibration in the passenger side of the dash that I suspected to be the fan or an airbag issue. It made a strong vibration when the key was on even if the fan was set to off. The fan seemed to blow fine and turning up the fan didn't seam to increase the vibration. The vibration would actually continue for 20 seconds or so after the key was turned off. Being that I couldn't fix an airbag. I hoped for the easier fix and decided to try removing the fan motor per these instructions. Once removed I turned the key and the vibration was gone. I ordered a new motor and installed and it's as good as new. Vibration gone.
    Note that my original motor had blue writing on it as well just like the one you removed.. My suspicion is that it's done in the factory, not that it's a replacement or used part.
