I ordered one of these about 5 months ago. It plays great, the neck and fret work are of exceptional standard, the pickups are killer. It's going to eventually be upgraded with new hardware, but otherwise, it is the equivalent of a $2,000 guitar. Don't hesitate in grabbing one if you are after a versatile P90 platform. My only criticism is that the weight is a little hefty, but hey otherwise amazing!
I just had my Artist AT 69 delivered at my front door purely after seeing this video and hearing Peter talk about it and playing it. I thought it better play and sound as good as Peter claims it does! It did. And how! Man Pete ain’t wrong, the hardware, pups, beautiful and painless play and the tone! 😮 QUESTION: what is the Carlos song at the end Peter is playing ? Cheers from Sydney
I just checked the AS72 on website. Wow that’s like a Strat! Nice! I will get the AS72 next. I bought the AT69 and love it. I test played new slimline Gretsch in the Guitar store G2226T as I wanted a Rickenbacker but too much for me $, I was going to put in pups or similar but the to me personal was disappointed in it. It sounded United nice thru a Vox but the machine heads were dogs of things, crap, the neck width didn’t agree with me , it just didn’t sound as good as I expected in my mind.
@JohnnyRayedd-Neck I got the AS 72. Completely blown away, it's an incredible guitar. I've owned a lot of high end guitars and this holds it's own against them easily.
Whilst I congratulate you on a great video with great playing as always, I have to say , being in the UK, I've been on the email list for over six month and in all that time artist guitars have been out of stock on many models. Every "due date" has come and gone, so while these look great and sound great I've now given up and removed myself from the email list. Such a shame.
Shit I’m sorry to hear that. I ordered the aAT 69 3 weeks ago and it arrived in 3 business days, then again I’m not far from the Artist Warehouse in Sydney. I received my guitar when you wrote this comment, and they had every guitar in stock. Did yiu call them? Did yiu e-mail the CEO personally? Did you order the guitar and they were out of stock so were you on an e-mail waiting list? Mmmmmmn doesn’t sound right. They have and had the guitars when I ordered which was around the time you ordered roughly so sometimes fishy. Good luck mate and keep trying! At the price I can buy 3 guitars instead of one Fender Tele! So I’m buying another two in the next 12 months

He over hypes these guitars as a high end guitar and I've tried there guitars and had nothing but probably like bridge post pulling out neck in a s shape pickups that intermittent and so on
I don't say what i don't believe. These are amazing guitars for the price. The guitar you had a problem with, i have never made a demo of. Nor have i even seen one. Artist customer service is amazing and as I believe, you were refunded. Don't expect a $3000 unles you spend that much. Maybe you should buy this guitar.
A mate has 4 Artist guitars hanging on his wall - At first, I thought, what a wanker buying 4 guitars made in China, however, when I actually played them through his amp, I was very pleasantly surprised. My only concern is that the resale value would be around $50 - $100, so a terrible investment.
Fender Squiers are made in China (and Indonesia) including the awesome Classic Vibes, so is your phone. Time to let go of that 'China-Stigma' I think? Low cost guitars are not bought as investments, they are purchased to play and often as mod' platforms.

Some artist guitars, like this one, have stacked P90s.

'Stacked' P90s are humbucking. Hence the coil-split switching.
