I've had pretty much the same experience with my fysetc clone. I didn't assemble the hotend quite right originally and had some issues (my own fault). Fixed it and it's been printing flawlessly since. Might not be super fast, but I can reliably get nice clean prints out of it.
Even though 3D printing is moving in the direction of core xy, klipper-based "speedboat", 30 second benchy printers, I think that there will (for the foreseeable future at least) be a place for direct drive bedslingers for materials like TPU.
Great, prusa is not a printer it's a whole system (support, slicer, replacement parts, hardware and firmware updates). Why do some people buy a sovol when they can buy a prusa clone?

Maybe because they are cheaper and comes prebuilt. Sovol 06 its basically a Prusa clone itself.
Maybe the new creality K1 is the solution for you ?
I'm thinking about getting one for TPU only as I don't trust TPU in my other printers.
Right that was my issue, having too much trouble printing tpu with my high end printers.

Have you though about the Solvol 06 as a cheaper alternative? Although if you are happy with the Prusa clones, stick to them to be honest.
