“When you're in a room with this person, you really don't have to do too much. So, she acts, she writes, she sings the songs, Lady Gaga, WE SALUTE YOU!"
This is the first time I see a cliché speech, not feeling like a cliché speech, every single word was filled with honest feelings. It’s beautiful to see her like this after all she is been through.
Some people think her speech was so cliche but here are some things she was doing simultaneously with this movie: *acting for AHS Season 6 *preparing for superbowl halftime show *making an album called Joanne, then giving concerts around the world for it *acting for a star is born movie and making a whole soundtrack album for the movie *she was also in so much suffer bc of her illness fibromyalgia, broke up her longtime fiance and struggled against mental ilness *her best friend Sonya died bc of cancer during the a star is born shots, but she contunied to acting with her hurt and didnt let anybody down at the set (last scene was filmed that day) *despite the all of the things she has done, the media call her “flop” and said “she is over” but she didnt let these headlines defeat herself It ended up Gaga became the first person who won all academic awards in one year including The Oscar. So, she was totally right when she gave that speech. It was really hardwork and it was more about the not giving up instead of winning. Love and respect her.
You're absolutely right in saying that she is a very, very hard working woman. She deserves what she has got in her career. I truly support this woman as she is an immense talent and credit to the entertainment industry at large and I genuinely believe that she will go down in history as one of the greatest entertainers of all time, one who will forever be remembered by humankind in terms of massive original creativity, originality and, I would argue, genius. I truly believe this.
Her speech came from the heart, so it being cliche or not really shouldnt matter. It was her life's dream to win an Oscar and that night her hard work paid off. She was incredibly overwhelmed with happiness so I just think her speech was born from that passion. IMO
Omg, I haven't realized this till now. We can add: Caring about her family and friends like Sonja. And writing and producing the real LG5 cuz that album was completely snubbed and replace by Joanne. Grammys honestly hate Gaga. This song literally didn’t win Song and Record of The Year. No offense to Donald Glover but yeah. But still the most awarded song ever 🥳. At least the Oscars treated her right.
She has 11 Grammys and has performed at the Grammys 7 times. I agree with you that shallow should’ve won song of the year. But the Grammys definitely don’t hate her.
The Grammys don’t necessarily “hate” her but they are not easy on her. Not the way that they are easy on people such as Beyoncé or Taylor Swift who get nominated left and right for less than impactful material that generally sells well during the commercial year. Gaga is held to a higher standard and they are more selective with the awards they give her. She’s going to be a star in the industry for a long time and they aren’t going to give her all the awards this early in her career. The album “Born This Way” won literally no Grammys but it’s legacy has long outlasted most of the stuff that was celebrated at the time. The same will happen for Shallow, which was definitely Record of the Year and Song of the Year material. It’s going to be an American classic forever. Honestly no ones going to care who won the Grammy that year. But everyone will know “Shallow” for generations. That’s what is more important about music.
@@WhistleMeThis come on, the Grammys are not easy on Taylor at all. It takes her changing genre and rebranding herself into doing different genres to really get recognition by them. It was easy back when she was in her Fearless-post-speak now era but after that, the Grammys have always kept it hard for her to win a trophy.
Her words strike me hard. I literally cried when she said, " It's about how many times you stand up and fight for your dream". I am young and I know I will face rejections in the future and it will happen but I know where to go. I will always make this speech my inspiration.
If someone told me 10 years ago that the new artist you just started to listen too would go on to become an Oscar winner I would not believe them. But here we are and life is good!

*Exactly.* Don't get me wrong, Shallow is beautiful and won rightfully, at least Gaga finally has her Oscar ... but 'Til it happens to you is on an entirely different level, it's so haunting and heartbreaking and meaningful. Sam Smith is talented and his song was good too, but I'll never understand how they could give him that Oscar and not Gaga.
She achieved what she wanted after 11 years of career, having won an Oscar and she no longer needs to prove that she is Lady Gaga because she is Lady Gaga, but just a Lady.❤
She's not just crying because she won an Oscar. Her video for shallow just got a billion views. But she does look like she's having a nervous breakdown.
@Luis Collado If you can manufacture anyone to stand on the stage and belt her lungs out like Whitney, I will be glad to have all the singers in this world manufactured. And with a voice like that, she didn't need to write any song. She will always be the "voice" not the artist who can write songs.
I don't know how many times I cried with Gaga. I love her since her second album. I remember being 6 and watching her mv's from my tablet and I was like, "she's weird but I love her." And lady gaga I LOVE YOU NO MATTER WHAT. Everyone, STOP PRETENDING YOU HATE HER
her speech not only made me cry but it also brought a new confidence in me that no matter how much time it take u to persue your dreams your hardwork will always pay u back 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻THANK YOU LADY GAGA
How serendipitous that Lady Gaga won her first oscar while being in the same room with the rock band that made the song "Radio Gaga" from which she took her artistic name and Bohemian Rhapsody also won Oscars.
Lady Gaga's journey is amazing.. Initially she was a great singer who came out with silly and over the top, eccentric outfits and I used to wonder.. she has such a nice voice and such a great singer and people need to look past those outfits and see what talent she has and always had.. slowly I saw respect growing for her and for all the right reasons and I felt really happy for her.. and now the oscar.. what a journey and what an achievement..
What I love most about Gaga's speech is that it was the most genuine and sincere I have ever seen an artist do. She really didn't believe it, she was extremely excited and that was beautiful. Even after so many years I keep crying with her
Lady gaga is a masterpiece....I deeply love her ....and seeing her winning oscar feels like am already recieving that award ....😭😭😭 let God be with you forever loooootssss of love
Probably the most domineering song nominated ever throughout any awards season, and not just the Oscars. Winning a Grammy, an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA all within one single year for a song contribution to a film is one daring feat, and there was no way she's going to lose this one. Lady Gaga has officially sealed her spot among all-time greats in global music with this one.

2:55 seeing Jennifer Hudson nodding and mouthing was gaga is saying is so sweet! my 2 favorites!
@@LanachellaGags exactly! At the end... Gaga 🛐🛐
Her words strike me hard. I literally cried when she said, " It's about how many times you stand up and fight for your dream". I am young and I know I will face rejections in the future and it will happen but I know where to go. I will always make this speech my inspiration.
Her reaction is pure bliss, tremendous joy, and an incredible amount of thankfulness. She really deserved that award.
I was waiting her to say "There can be a hundred people in the room, and 99 of them won’t believe in you, but all you need is one" but she didn't :(
Thanks for your kind and supportive response
I'm actually emotional then i saw this comment. I laughed 😭🤣
If someone told me 10 years ago that the new artist you just started to listen too would go on to become an Oscar winner I would not believe them. But here we are and life is good!
She is a supermodel.. gold diggers and fake... What u expect....
@@kevinvanhorsing5141 yeah yeah whatever! No one cares!
@@kevinvanhorsing5141 gold digger?? She's worth +USD 300 millions LOL...she is superstar in this generation
@@kevinvanhorsing5141 Gold digger? I'd agree that she *could* be a supermodel, but gold digger? Right now, she's the gold anyone could only wish to dig for.
@@kevinvanhorsing5141 supermodel? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 She's just 5'2
Watching this after Chadwick left us 😭😭😭 As a huge gaga fan, I feel like this was such a sweet moment for two amazing persons!
She takes so many different forms this one. I saw her in concert just a few weeks ago and even again she looks so different to this, as here she looks so different to many appearances in her past. She is like a chameleon - she has truly mastered the art of self-expression. Love her!
“Shallow” is such a good song, I literally thought it was a cover to an older song, hence the movie being a remake for the 4th time.
Ramon Diaz I never saw any A Star Is Born but I’m quite surprised this is an original song as well.
Yess🇲🇽👍🏿
We get It Diego. You should go to your favorite artist channel and support When a cowboy trades his spurs for wings then. We can not take the Oscar back from Gaga .
@Diego Pisfil definitely not, good song, but not Oscar worthy
I cant believe. I follow her since just dance 11 years ago. WHAT A TIME TO BE A LIFE !!
Udah makan belum? Wkwk
me too1!!!
Same here Little Monster 🙌🏼
Mark Ronson said it right. She sing, she write, she act... She's the one and only Lady Gaga
She's extremely humble and you can tell she has had her moments of struggle in life. Anyone that is that famous yet displays that much gratitude is an amazing individual. I totally respect her and she's wonderful. 💙
Artpop out
People - gaga is over
2019- wins an oscar
watch this film recently on Netflix, gaga was fine. But her Career was over when Applause was released. Gaga was completly destroyed by that horrific song.
@@eduardochavacano ummmm you are pretty tasteless , cuz that's a hella great song
Well she already predicated that in the paparazzi video. What a queen
@r0bz yeah in your dreams. You piece of shit
@r0bz she recently had 2 huge hit songs (one of them called "Rain on Me" was number 1 on the charts.), she literally sang the national amthem at the inaugration yesterday for millions of people watching her throughout the entire world.
Nice try my g, but Gaga is unstoppable.
She is the definition of multitalented.
I cry every time I see her speaking. I can perceive an honest pride, satisfaction and love for her work, her family and her co-workers. Lovely and inspirational, a vibrating dedication to all the most important people in her life. I love her so much❤❤❤
Lady Gaga has such a pure heart, I just love her!
She's a real artist. She is so talented.
Bradley didnt go up there because he'll piss his pants again
HAHA OH NOOO
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Well he wasn't one of the winners b/c the award goes to the writer(s).
@@volcrazy89 lol it was a joke. it was a reference to A Star is Born when Bradley's character went with Lady Gaga's character up to the stage. he was also drunk and he pissed himself on stage
More likely he did not want to show the cum stain from singing with LG - kidding!
I still can't believe I live in a world where Lady Gaga is an Oscar winner.
Yes lucky u and me..she is a living leyend 😉
Eminem is a Oscar winner too.
And golden globe purely for acting.
@@promontorium And Critics Choice Award for acting as well
Yes we r lucky gurl
She deserved that Oscar. She’s the Queen of Pop.👑 Love her so much.
Lady Gaga Queen Of Pop
Obviously
@Idk But I Love Avril Lavigne And Billie Eilish Lady Gaga is the new queen of pop
@Idk But I Love Avril Lavigne And Billie Eilish they call her new queen of pop
Idk But I Love Avril Lavigne And Billie Eilish Britney can’t even sings, she’s not popular anymore.💀
Idk But I Love Avril Lavigne And Billie Eilish KEEP DREAMING. MaDINOSAUR is over and so is Britney. GAGA is the Queen of Pop now, whether you like it or not. Shut the fuck up you twat buck toothed bitch
Should've won for 'Til it Happens to You.
Right??? I get chills still today and that Oscar performance... Man.
@@godsandmonsters4601 Because the Oscars don't want to really admit the issues of rape in the US and Hollywood, nor do they really like Gaga
I'm a bagel on a plate full of onion rolls Hollywood is evil they do more than rape they eat babies
@@phillyjr5451 what's wrong with you?
She achieved what she wanted after 11 years of career, having won an Oscar and she no longer needs to prove that she is Lady Gaga because she is Lady Gaga, but just a Lady.❤
Congratulations Lady Gaga, you’ve earned it.
this speech is so beautiful. i’ve been supporting gaga since 2009. her growth is incredible to watch. she is incredible. i love seeing her win.
OMG samesies!!! Our Mother Monster deserve everything good in this world!!!
She's not just crying because she won an Oscar. Her video for shallow just got a billion views. But she does look like she's having a nervous breakdown.
Gaga has joined the DIVAS, I think Whitney would be happy
Yven Hess and so proud
Yasss 💯
@Luis Collado ahm.... Whitney got an Oscar for the best soundtrack in 1999, and she also was a very popular actress in 4 movies in the 90s.
Luis Collado the lack of culture.....
@Luis Collado If you can manufacture anyone to stand on the stage and belt her lungs out like Whitney, I will be glad to have all the singers in this world manufactured. And with a voice like that, she didn't need to write any song. She will always be the "voice" not the artist who can write songs.
*thank god jackson wasn't up there and pissed himself again*
Hahahaha!!!!!!
That was at the Grammys LOL 😂
hahaha
😂😂 again noo i dont think so
moron
I'm even a bigger fan from Mark Ronson now. What a class act. And Lady Gaga... this is an example of leadership and quality in music. Wow.
A more truly grateful, humble, thankful and deserving artist as Lady Gaga hasn't come around in a long time. It's wonderful to see her win.
I don't know how many times I cried with Gaga. I love her since her second album. I remember being 6 and watching her mv's from my tablet and I was like, "she's weird but I love her." And lady gaga I LOVE YOU NO MATTER WHAT. Everyone, STOP PRETENDING YOU HATE HER
I love her. One of the most talented people in the world.
her speech not only made me cry but it also brought a new confidence in me that no matter how much time it take u to persue your dreams your hardwork will always pay u back 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻THANK YOU LADY GAGA
I am crying rn while typing this so it is a miracle if there is no typo cause I;m writing in the dark djnwoaFNBbhnfihbdbdsindbwiba
Lady Gaga said she always wanted an oscar years ago. I'm happy her wish came true.
*You cannot deny that her entire talent and spirit was in that song, she deserved this and the speech was just as beautiful.*
Ellen was right when she told her you’re gonna win an Oscar for Shallow
LOL, that wasnt a very hard prediction to do though. Everybody knew she would win it as soon as the song was released.
@@Denis-89 I like your enthusiasm on a one year old video!
How serendipitous that Lady Gaga won her first oscar while being in the same room with the rock band that made the song "Radio Gaga" from which she took her artistic name and Bohemian Rhapsody also won Oscars.
She's a massive Queen fan.
I dont know why i had tears in my eyes when lady gaga and her writers won this award.. Such a beautiful song 🥰😘
This made me tear up, she deserved that win ❤
What I love most about Gaga's speech is that it was the most genuine and sincere I have ever seen an artist do. She really didn't believe it, she was extremely excited and that was beautiful. Even after so many years I keep crying with her
rest in peace, Chadwick. may the happiness be with you.

Well deserved!!!! Lady Gaga is one of the best artists of our generation! She really deserve all the awards 🥰
She is incredible
Other nominess: scattered low applause.

Lady Gaga Stefani - ICON - she will be known as one of the greatest artists ever. Will be back on that stage again with acceptance speeches
With Best Actress Oscar. I just know it. I just do.
SHE IS VERY HARDWORKING, SHE IS PASSIONATE, SHE IS ART, SHE IS OSCAR WINNER 🖤
Okay, who else was fangirling when Bradley hugged Gaga??
I had forgot he presented this award 😭🥺 RIP Chadwick Boseman, we love you to heaven and back
"There is a discipline for passion"
Lady gaga is a masterpiece....I deeply love her ....and seeing her winning oscar feels like am already recieving that award ....😭😭😭 let God be with you forever loooootssss of love
She is incredible ,humble person with perseverance and patience. She is G.O.A.T. I love you Lady Gaga.
I'm so proud of her. She deserves it
The moment we heard the song in the trailer we knew she was going to win for that
Probably the most domineering song nominated ever throughout any awards season, and not just the Oscars. Winning a Grammy, an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA all within one single year for a song contribution to a film is one daring feat, and there was no way she's going to lose this one.
Lady Gaga has officially sealed her spot among all-time greats in global music with this one.
Oh please. The song is literally middle of the road trash, which is the only reason the mainstream award shows paid any attention to it.
Truly this song duet will go down in history as classic as Casablanca.
She's an inspiration. The way she said about not giving up I felt it ❤
