imagine training for years to be the best only to lose to a single mom because all your team mate are too obsessed with how sexy they are. God I love Kangaskhan
Interesting note about porygons cost; in Red and fire red it costs the maximum, but in Blue and Leaf Green, it costs a more manageable 6500 coins. I like how they did it; it's kind of a 'soft' blue exclusive. You absolutely can go for it in red, but given the option, blue or leaf green are the better games to get porygon in.
I think you guys are the first PokeTubers I've watched who reroll encounters as long as the Pokemon's from a different route. It's weird for me, but I'll get used to it. It's a fresh perspective.
lol I may not be the most skilled Nuzlocker, but I have spirit! Every time I look back on one of these runs I definitely notice a million bad plays that I made, but dealing with my inevitable mistakes is part of the fun. Thanks for watching!
I didn't think to show this in the video (my mistake), but there are actually 2 moonstones you can easily pick up in Mt. Moon. The first is in a PokeBall on the first floor near the hiker, and the second is hidden in a stone to the right of the rocket grunt you fight before the fossil maniac. Knowing where both of them are is great for a standard run, but especially useful for the normal mono nuzlocke!
This was a really fun video but I'm a little confused about the rules. So, this is supposed to be a hardcore monolocke with permadeath, right? Cuz that's one of the rules of a hardore nuzlocke. But you guys had pokemon faint and then just caught another one like the one that fainted? So, it's not permadeath? I'm sorry if I'm being dumb but I'm genuinely confused 😅
Thanks for the question! In our ruleset we do have dupes clause, so we can't have more than one of the same pokemon on our team. But up to now, if a Pokemon died and we could catch the same species on a different route (and if we haven't used that route yet), we've allowed ourselves to catch another one. The permadeath would apply to the fainted pokemon itself, but not its whole species. So, for example, if Kangaskhan had fainted, I never would have been able to replace her because it's not available anywhere else. But I could get replacement rattatas, etc. bc there are so many available. Based on comments from viewers, a lot of people seem to think this rule is a little too forgiving, so I might be altering it in my future runs to make things more difficult. Sorry for causing any confusion, and thanks for watching!
@PokéPhenomenal ahah I guess in some specific cases it is a little too forgiving, like if you're going for a monolocke with a big amount of different pokemon to catch. Thanks so much for clarifying, and keep up the amazing videos!!!

I'm a simple man, I see a strong single kangaskhan in a thumbnail, I hit the like button.
Great run(s)! I'm looking forward to whatever comes next :)

Alright, nice, the elite 4 - they've got this! *checks video runtime* oh... uh oh
life is pain
Since we got Normal Hardcore Nuzlocke, now we need Fucked Up Hardcore Nuzlocke.
Steve: Blastoise you can flirt later just attack already!!!
Blastoise: *uses rain dance*
Finally, a new pokétuber!! I loved the end of the challenge and can't wait to see what you guys make next
Not going to lie you killed off a lot of Pokémon for no reason making the run harder than it had to be. Great video though

STRONG INDEPENDENT KANGASKHAN!
If you wanna save yourself a lot of trouble to get porygon just play the slots and bet 1 coin. Then go buy the 50 from the counter
Great video!! I'm currently doing this challenge on stream and if it's okay I might use a couple of your strategies?
Just throwing not using dig on a venasaur, a poison type
How did you get a second moon stone before misty?
