Congrats on an amazing pick up my friend. Thank you for sharing the card on my live and thank you for the shout out. So happy to see you land such an amazing card.
Love the m101-4/5 recap & the pickups are A+. Amazing. 🤩 I really enjoyed how you talked about Sisler’s pitcher card, pennant, the different backs, & the difficulty ID’ing some of the players. Love the Brown. The Wagner is HUGE. I’m so happy for you. 👏👏
@TJ_Is_Online thank you, sir! Just catching up on your Cobb video, too. We definitely have similar collecting styles. Appreciate your very thoughtful comments. M101 items are quickly growing on my favorites list.
@Vintage_Dave_T that's a great way to put it, Dave! I think we all do. I celebrate every time a friend picks up a cool card or finally land one on their goals list. Best part of sharing in the hobby for sure. Thanks as always for sharing, my friend!
Awesome pick-up Aaron of a beautiful Wagner card. Love the M101 set with it's player selection and unique advertising backs. Great for both player collectors and type set collectors. Congratulations 🎉
That's a goody my handsome friend!!!I always like the Flying Dutchman. #4 in my top tier Burrito. Enjoyed the story of the M101's too. Beautiful 6 fingers! All we need now is the Ruthie!. Never say never, you're still a young man. Look forward to seeing you and Joe again in Strongsville.
@BringingTheHeat-VBC yes, sir. It's definitely a not yet, and not a never. I'm excited for Strongsville times 100 over last year. Knowing what to expect and knowing folks will be an even better trip. Talk soon!
I’ve never seen that Ferguson Bakery set. How cool! I will definitely be looking into these. Wagner…WHEW! Awesome. Very nice additions to your collection. Thanks for the video and thanks for sharing.
Congrats my friend on a huge pickup! Such a great card. I’ve been dipping into the M101 cards as a way to acquire many of the 1914 Braves without paying Cracker Jack prices,
Saw you share this on the live, but great to see it again and hear more about it and the set. Congrats on that amazing card. What huge addition to your fantastic collection. I've got a couple of this series but nothing massive - I have Marquard from Famous and Barr and Wheat. Hope you're having a good weekend.
Great video Aaron. Love this set. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the numbers are different for each set. A Ty Cobb m101-4 will have a different number than a m101-5. At least that is what I believe. Amazing pickup on that monster. Hope you can get that Sisler soon.
@@thedetroitcollector thank you, my friend. From what I have read, it is a mixed bag on the number issue. Talk about confusing. Add in a bunch of ad back options that are not labeled as the same set, and it is quite the project to understand. Here is where I have been diving in a bit to research. www.sportscollectorsdaily.com/m101-4-and-m101-5-sporting-news/
As I have both m101-4 and m101-5 cards the only difference is in the age card stock that was used then... darker color is more that likely m101-5 the lighter color ones are m101-4. Thanks for sharing I love your cards!
@Valuevintagecards-Aaron there was alot of good information on net54 about that series of cards and what I remember reading. Thanks for sharing some of the numbering differences between the 2 sets Aaron.
Not so much cards as they are history. Just flat awesome stuff as usual. As I go down this rabbit hole, I’m with you on the “backs”. I’m just focused on the fronts, at least for now.
Nice addition! I'm a fan of these and would be happy with any old back just like any T206. What were the other playing days Wagners you've owned? I don't think I could part with one myself.
@blixcards that is a good question. I had an E93 back in the day. Did have to sell that at one point to buy a house, so that made sense to me. I do have one other playing days card now. It is a 1914 Polo Grounds, so it is a "value" play on a playing days Honus.
@@Valuevintagecards-Aaron Wow... That is a great story and one of a handful of reasons to sell a big card. You hate to hear the tales of hardship and having to sell just to live, but you bought an asset. That's just awesome! Nice to hear you still have the other one on top of it. Too cool!
Congrats on an amazing pick up my friend. Thank you for sharing the card on my live and thank you for the shout out. So happy to see you land such an amazing card.
@EverydayCardCollector-Jason thank you, my friend! It is always fun to score a monster for the collection. Talk soon.

It was great to hear about this massive pickup! Congrats Aaron!
@SammyThunder thanks, Sammy! Enjoying that one more and more as I learn about the set and even Wagner with new energy.
Thanks for sharing these very cool pre-war cards. I guess I’m living vicariously through your pick ups.😅 Way to go, Aaron.

Amazing cards, Aaron! Love them, especially the Wagner! Congrats!
@billyballgamesportscards thank you, my friend! Excited to have that one in the collection!

@Doug-JoeWoodCollector thank you, sir. Glad to catch up via text as well. Talk about a collection! You shared some amazing cards.
M101s are great! I love that this set has so many cards of players not available in the other big sets. Congrats on the Wagner. Such a great card.
@ReindeerStudios thank you, my friend! That set just hits the right time to catch the start and end of so many amazing players' careers.

Outstanding! Playing day Wagner, doesn’t get better than that. Love the image of him on that card as well

@JayAvgVintageCollector thanks, Jay! Wagner is a huge one for me. The Ferguson Bakery pennants are really neat. Worth a look for sure.

@DansVintageBaseballPC thank you, friend! Two of the best sets of that era! I agree though, M101 is a great value play.
Beautiful M101-4 Wagner! Congrats!

🔥 mic drop!

@patbenson548 thank you for sharing! I like to learn, so I appreciate that detail. I wonder how often grading companies label them incorrectly.

Thanks for the info I really have learned a lot about pre war watching your channel sir btw great pick up
@BrianBlankenship-f6l thank you, Brian! So much to learn about, I try to share the little I know when I can. Always appreciate your kind words.
