Amazing cards, Aaron. I enjoyed the behind the scenes on how you store and organize. That’s one of the things I’ll be working on a little more this year - storage. I’m due to buy another box/case, and also figure out something for my large items, like 8x10 size.
@RustyVintageCards thanks, Rusty. Always important to keep things sorted in a way that makes sense to you. The larger items can be tougher if you don't have shelving or good areas to keep things displayed.
Great showcase and thinking about your collection. I shifted my collection a few years ago to just focus on Dodgers. Main focus has been completing team sets from. 56-79 but in the last couple years I’ve gotten way more into prewar and more rare things so I haven’t completed my original project! I store my cards by year and then numerical, separating out graded and ungraded. Like hearing how you store and organize your massive collection.
@MarksDodgersCards very good, sir. Logistics and storage is always interesting. With your original project it is a mix of huge cards and very reasonable cards so that is an interesting dynamic for sure. You know I am a big supporter of your added focus on pre-war! Your collection is so cool.
Great stuff as always. I love the breadth of your collection and seeing all the different sets that you don’t see everyday. Now let’s start the bidding on box 2 at $200!
Great stuff Aaron! That Joe D is at the top of my want list, along with the Ted fro. The same set. I have a broad range as well. It seems like a lot of projects at the same time, but by doing so, it leaves me with options and I don’t feel like I need to buy a card to just complete whatever project I’m working on. So, currently, I’ve got 7 player runs and 2 HOF set runs going. And then there’s just cards that I want. My want list may have 3 or 4 cards from a player not in my runs, but buying one will probably eliminate (or at least decrease priority) of the remaining cards of that player. It’s important to me to just have some kind of representation of players/cards that I like. Amazing cards in your collection! Thanks for the video and thanks for sharing!
@JayAvgVintageCollector I always love hearing how folks collect. I am a player collector first and foremost. I have done some sets out of meeting several goals, but at the end players and their cards is my goal. Thanks for all your encouragement and for sharing your perspective.
@51ringside3 thank you, my friend! I appreciate hearing what folks find interesting. That Comiskey is still a fair value, in my opinion. Thanks for sharing, my friend.
Man, your collection continues to blow me away, Aaron! My collection is focused on oh look squirrel! 😂😂 I'm trying to focus on my 60 set and Hall of Fame rookoe cards. But, I often get distracted by boxes of junk wax that I have way too much of, Ken Griffey Jr., Nolan Ryan, and Ozzie Smith, among other things!
Gave a video like. My main focus is finishing up my Frankenset and having fun. The fun part is easy, I tend to cast a wide net and always seem to be finding gems. Have a great rest of your weekend!
Love the video Aaron. I think you know my collection habits. Although recently I’ve shifted a bit from cards to small but unique memorabilia pieces. The cards I’ve been picking up are mostly guys who played in the Cspe Cod League
@markhoyle2275 yes, sir! I really admire collections like your that are so focused and incredibly deep. The amount of concentration allows for an amazing way to tell the story of your primary focus (team, league, player, etc.)
Thanks for sharing Aaron. So many great cards. I'm going to be looking for some grail cards at the National this year and working on smaller team set projects the rest of the year. That's my 2025 approach.
My insane project is to get a card for every winner of the 6 triple crown categories. The card from the year after they won the title. My problem is there are many occasions where the player didn’t have a card.
@@ottoolsen7640 talk about an epic goal! Even if you omit the cards that aren't possible, that sounds like a mammoth undertaking. How far are you currently?
@@Valuevintagecards-AaronYeah, it’s huge and I didn’t mention I am going for graded! Dumb, huh? Anyway, I’m probably only about 10 % - 15 %. Mostly have gotten the low hanging fruit. It’s nice when a player won 2 in a year or was a an actual Triple Crown winner.
I basically collect the years from late 1950's to 1981 with the exception of a few Michael Jordan and Tom Brady cards! My issue is I won't buy anything unless it's graded at least a PSA,SGC or BVG 6.I also find myself selling off most of my Grade 6 cards and upgrading!
@jonyrodz sounds like you have a high-end collection! I am over here living on A and 1 cards. Always fun to learn how different folks collect. Thanks for sharing.
@@Valuevintagecards-Aaron My Dad left my brother and I alot of baseball cards and memorabilia from the late 1950's through the early 80's.We graded some stuff and have been selling off alot of "raw" cards not worthy of grading and vintage memorabilia and autographs and using the proceeds to purchase higher graded cards to put aside for the future as well as enjoy the hobby!
