Stan Musial 55 Rawlings Goal Card
The 1955 Rawlings set of 6 Stan Musial cards is not only somewhat rare, but one of the few sets I have wanted to complete. This was mentioned as a goal of mine on a recent VR asking us to list a goal card. Sharing that update and progress as I was able to take one big step closer to completing the set.

SGC Reveal - My biggest submission ever! 20 card National submission 2024

I recently traded a good quantity (32 to be exact) of great cards to two dealers that were amazing to deal with in the past. This transaction was just as excellent. These are incredible cards. What a collection! Old Cardboard is such a great resource. I have a Dazzy Vance arriving shortly that is described as a rookie on Old Cardboard but similarly hard to really determine. I'm going to do a video about it. But all the variety is part of the fun for sure.

I like your perspective. Man I like T205 and that Addie Joss 👍 It is still on the list but I picked up an American Caramel because I could afford it at that time although I wanted the. T206 for the yellow background as well. Focus is important👍...... awesome stuff.

@j23a45ycards thank you, sir! Those big head cards have grown on me a bit. So weird they are fun.
Even with postwar issues, when Bowman and Topps were well established, people can get into heated arguments as to what constitutes a rookie...can you call the 48 Bowman, Kiner, Musial, Berra, Schoendienst, Spahn rookies when they all have earlier issues (regional and/ or supplements)? What about 57 Topps Frank Robinson? You have a 46 Kahn's. Drysdale appears in the 56 World Series Dodgers Photo Pack. Early Wynn's rookie is considered the 49 Bowman but he appears in an M114 supplement years earlier. Nellie Fox appears in the 49 Philadelphia team photo pack which precedes his 51 Bowman.....etc etc
@bagwell78 I enjoy the debate for sure. I try to collect the "pre-rookie" when possible. I believe I have several of those you listed and definitely prefer the alternative option when possible. Between scarcity and cost, that is not always an option.
Fantastic Sisler collection. I love seeing all of this rare sets I never knew existed. I’m always learning something new every time I watch your videos. Your passion for Sisler really shines through in your videos.
@@VintageCardWonderland thanks, man! The one advantage of a deeper dive on a player is finding these unique sets and items that were never on your radar before. Pre-war stuff is always humbling with how much is unknown with sets and rare items it seems.

It’s because of vintage I’ve always found the rookie card rules absolutely silly. People were trying to take a modern concept and try to apply it to the old days where it makes no sense.
@@MrJmangini I agree, 1975 Brett is a pretty solid rookie card. 1916(ish) Sisler is a much tougher concept. Probably part of the reason I can't even grasp modern collecting.

Great Sisler collection. Really like the National police Gazette. I just picked up a Sam Crawford a month ago. If you go into the Old Cardboard website you mention they have a player checklist for these M128s. Looks like you were correct, the Sisler was 1916.

Your SGC reveals are epic. I love the Spahn retirado and 59 vennie Musial. I've been wanting a Drake's cookie HOFer like Campy or Berra. I can't believe you have a Berra in a 4 such a tough grade. The other card on my list for a long time has been Wilson Wieners Campanella. Your collection is next level!

I agree a very underappreciated set. I put the Red Sox team set together, including Williams Grove and Foxx. Have most of the Boston Braves set as well and many of the minis, including Grove and Foxx

Great stuff Aaron! At one time I had the large Gehrig and Foxx highest grades with PSA. Someone else is enjoying them now.
@@stuke1976 that is so very cool. Having the highest grade is neat, but having 1 of 11 graded by PSA really tells the story! Super scarce and interesting set for sure.
