I grew up in the country and my mom would try to save baby critters that were injured. If they lived, we set them free in the woods after a while. My parents still live in the woods and possums come up on their porch & eat beside their cats and there have never been any problems. It's great that you help ones that cannot go back in the wild. Thank you for helping them :)
