I can’t tell you how blessed I am to have found your channel!! I was just gifted a little sewing machine and I was having a hard time finding a channel that gave clear instructions on what to do. I made my first sewing project using your clear instructions and I’m so excited to make more draw string bags!!!🥰 thank you so much!! You are amazing!!
This seems the most simplest one so far I have come across. This would totally work as a reversible drawstring bag if it’s turned inside out somewhere else. I’d make this bag but shorten it a little and box the corners. Other videos I watched make it seem so complicated. I just need a couple for small knitting projects I want separated.
I am a beginner and have been watching at a lot of tutorials for drawstring bags. I love the way you teach, the way you have recorded it (the lighting & view point used) & the final look of the bag. I have subscribed to your channel straight away after watching it. 👍🏻
Thank you so much for your clear instructions. I have been going mad to find out how to do a drawstring bag. So glad I came upon your demonstration. Man thanks.
I just finished making one of these bags. It is the first bag I’ve sewn. The video was extremely well done for a beginner. Thanks so much for making these great tutorial videos. I can’t wait to make more of your bags and pouches.
I have been searching for a draw string bag that nice and simple thank you so much I think you are awsome and I love the way you explain things I will be making this one.
Спасибо большое за замечательные мастер-классы. Всё понятно, и ничего лишнего. Мне кажется, лучшего видео я не встречала. С нетерпением буду ждать новых видео.
Thanks for sharing this.Exquisite bag...beautifully finished...filmed and demonstrated so clearly...thank you for all you do . I have your wonderful book also...your videos are a gift ! X
Thank you for a great tutorial. This is very similar to the way I make my drawstring bags except I don’t use a seam at the bottom and I leave a small opening on one side in the lining and stitch it closed once I have turned the bag right side out. Thank you again for your great tutorial.
I love the pattern! I have made these for my Christmas gifts for 2021 for firends and family :) Glad I came across this pattern. Very neat clean and very visual easy steps to follow. I have a question though. Whenever I tuck the material for the inside for the final part, I don't get much of a smooth lay on the inside. Seems to be too much fabric, I do straighten out the inside and press as much as I can, but still fill the bumps. Has anyone figured out the best way to make sure it's not wrinkled on the inside? Thanks!
I’ve been following your blog for a long, long time and I love that you’ve started making TH-cam videos!! Love the content- keep them coming Svetlana 💃🏻
I’ve made several of these bags for carrying my knitting and more recently narrower ones to carry and protect my son’s hand-held Play Station game. I love the finishing and will now make your new Jean tote. Thank you!
What are the optional side tab ribbons for? You added them at a specific place and they are a specific size. I do not understand their use. >>> I rewatched the video and heard you say "Decorative accent" at 30 seconds in. Sorry for the question.
@@sotakhandmade I hope I get to see your crafts when you do another sale of your items . Please let me know if it’s any way possible . I think your cloth bags will be great to take to and from chemo care . And the VA :)
Ecovalley Porterville Hi........ I'm making my ties with fabric. I can't get out to purchase any cording and I have a ton of fabric so I'll make a version of the spaghetti strap (matching, of course!!) and Bob's your uncle! Have a great day. Hugs from Canada.

Great tutorial! Thank you! 😊
Thanks for your lovely video :)
Can you box the bottom of this bag? If so will it make bag smaller.
Svetlana, can you advise how to adjust this pattern to make a round bottom? Thank you
when you use a patchwork piece for the drawstring bag do you quilt it before ?
Yes, I would quilt the outside to a light batting before assembling the bag.
Check out Svetlana's QAYG Panels video.
Cool. I love this. How would you put a boxy corner to it ?
You'll have to do that while the bag is still inside out, just before turning and closing.
Thank you!
You bet!
I live in Jamaica, how can I get your book of tutorials, I love your tutorials
Lovely! I love the tags on the side, the contrasting trim and I love that red fabric, is that Carolyn Friedlander fabric?
yes, it is. Lovely, isn't it?
شكرا شكرا شكرا 😍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
