I interviewed a guy called peter about 4 years ago who volunteered on this dig for a few weeks. He told me that the city was destroyed by an airburst meteorite which he described as an atomic bomb without the radiation. He said the smell of the ash layer was unforgettable. There was rocket fire going on all the time while they were digging just a few miles away at Jordans border. . And the most treasured thing they uncovered was a baby who had died who had been buried in a type of pot/jar. It must've been quite a heart affecting discovery, he spoke of it with much feeling. It's one of the most interesting conversations I've ever had, I was hanging off every word. I'll never forget it. If this interview doesn't leave you awestruck over God, I dont know what will.

I feel like the main takeaway of this story is the authority of scripture. Particularly Genesis. The original locations were wrong and the commentary he spoke of because they started with an authority outside of the text. I encourage to go and read the first chapters of Genesis then go to Answers in Genesis and/or listen to some talks from Ken Hamm about the authority of scripture and having a Biblical world view when looking at these things. Thanks for posting this!

As a Muslim it’s amazing to hear the story of this discovery and how it aligns with both of our teachings (the Quran speaks about Sodom and how God sent angels to destroy the nation due to the transgressions and the refusal to listen to Prophet Lot. The Quran says god sent down stones that were baked and every single one had the name of every resident engraved and the nation was lifted and turned upside down and slammed back to the earth. It also says we have left there remains as a warning to future generations.) this find is truly historic.
Link for anyone who wants to listen to that story from Islams perspective a lot similarities and some differences

Thank you. Fascinating. I have been thinking about Sodom a lot lately due to the dire straits that the world is in as regards sin and the darkness that has cloaked mankind. I would love to ask Dr Collins what he thinks of the destruction of biblical sites occurring in the Holy Land and in particular in Gaza but also in Jerusalem. Add to that the Arab countries where many holy sites are found& that America's bombed ruthlessly over the decades. Following October 7th, but way before things turned absolutely genocidal, I kept saying something that no one else said which is that it was beyond evil to render the destruction of the land; the land that is Holy; the land is that sacred. HOW dare we bomb it to smithereens. Tear it up and destroy it because it, as human beings, was made by God & is sacred, especially this earth in the Holy Land. What does he think?
Dr Collins brought together the holy book with the evidence the land rendered to him & I'm wondering if people feel that God sent that asteroid to destroy Sodom or whether nature has its own intelligence & sought out Somon and destroyed it because of its wicked ways? In either case, I surely hope an astroid seeks out the location of the government of the zionist state and destroys it so we can return to a Holy Land of three faiths where people live in peace and harmony. Thecdecadence of that era pales in comparison to what is occurring now in the genocidal zionist state enabled by AI.
I want to thank Dr Collins for remembering to ask mother earth for her secrets and then later thanking her. True class & true faith & true wisdom come together in one humble man. Thank you

Very interesting. I'm just wondering though, if Sodom was destroyed by a huge burst like that, how did Lot get far enough away fast enough to not be flattened? He and his daughters were just on foot and it sounds like the destruction came right away after they'd left the city. And why didn't Abraham hear a huge explosion or see a burst of blinding light? In the Bible it just says he got up and saw smoke rising from the area so he knew that it had been destroyed.

In the words of Spock, "fascinating". From the discussion, the geological and archaeological evidence confirm something like a meteoric impact event that occurred at the city of ancient Sodom that leveled the entire geographic area. Cannot confirm for sure whether the forces unleashed where natural or supernatural in origin but likely a combination of both. At least, that's my take on this incredible archaeological discovery.

    Temperature surface of the Sun is about 10,000 degrees °F ( not 15,000-30,000°C or 27,000°F - 54,000°F)

    • @CheAkki
      @CheAkki 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

Did you watch the video? Since you didn't, I'll tell you what actually happened.
At 45:17 he specifically said 20,000-30,000 °F underneath the tower where the atomic bomb was tested (not the temperature to produce trinitite)
At 52:31 he said the surface of the sun is 5,000 °F (no idea what video you was watching to get 27,000-54,000 °F ??)
He backs up both the melting and boiling point in the video
he said 15,000-30,000 °C for the temperature at the surface of the pottery for trinitite to form 1/8'' away from the surface.
Stop pulling numbers out from all over the video and labelling them with the wrong actions. You didnt listen to the video or didnt like what you heard so you thought you would try to disprove him and his works by making it seem like he doesn't know what he's talking about. The irony.

    • @zeropointenergy1574

@@CheAkki Revisiting this. Surface of the sun is around 10,000°F (5,500°C). Fact. And you are correct that he said the temperature was underneath the tower. BTW, I believe what he found and and I believe that Sodom was destroyed. I did watch the video and I did like what I heard. My point is that it's important to stay factual to preempt attacks from critics. You might lighten up on the personal attack mode instead of simply disputing numbers in a civil manner.

Folks since when the heck are birds reptiles ???, these Darwinian evolutionists have been redefining words to cater to their naturalist world view.
"Reptile" is an ambiguous category: It usually refers to lizards, snakes, turtles, alligators and crocodiles, but to be genetically consistent should also include birds, since crocodilians are more closely related to birds than to lizards, snakes or turtles."

I could be wrong, however, it seems to me both of these men are Evolutionary Theists, which does not comport with God's written word.

Eric is sometimes funny but he doesn't know when to be quiet. He's constantly trying to be the funniest man in the room and eventually, it becomes tiresome. Turn the volume down sir.

    Really disapponting.
I respect eric so much. But he says "if you believe you can debate flat earth, dont come to me, i dont have patience for that stuff".
    The next sentence,
"But if you really look into sodum, like really look into it, its undebatable".
Well brother. Im aorry you feelings wont let you agree with biblical geography. But as you said "if you REALLY look into it, (and dont dismiss it out of emotion) its undeniable".

Just because they discovered a city that was said to exist in the Bible doesn't mean that God or any other supernatural Things exist , that would be stupid to think

Its not just discovering a city mentioned in the bible. Dont be afraid to read genesis 19 and watch the video. The parallels are uncanny. God destroyed sodom and gomorrah by raining down fire and brimstone for the city was inherently evil.

Since the Bible refers to God destroying the cities of Sodom & Gomorrah because there could not even be 10 good men found in the cities, actually finding the remnants of it pretty much proves the story is true.
You people always try to discredit every story relayed in the Bible for lack of "evidence." Now, here's evidence.
So, obviously, you just refuse to open your eyes. God mention "those with ears to hear and eyes to see," but it doesn't sound like you'll make it into that group.

The only place where Sodom is mentioned is in the Bible. Now, apparently, they have found Sodom. No one is saying that this is proof of God's existence--but it is evidence for the reliability of the Bible.
