You can use street smartness in jee phase of your life also like take an example power cut ho rahi hai tumhare area ki frequently to tum kya karoge kaise padhoge? There can be more examples, how to say no to people when ur busy and want to focus on your work the way to say it is also street smartness, jisse samne wala offend bhi na ho tumhara kaam bhi ho jaye,

I am not street smart - brought up in an extremely strict/ conservative & dysfunctional/ abusive / controling middle class family. I am learning things by making mistakes , & by observing others who are street smart . I have learnt to get my stuff done & defend my self in a hostile/ toxic & cluster B office environment , learnt to talk to lawyers to defend my own space/ & safety & my rights against very toxic family members - single handedly . Will turn 50 this year. Have learnt some survival techniques. Still a lot more to learn - especially regarding practical survival skills . I keep asking for tips / guidelines from practical/ street smart / shrewd & helpful people . Latest development - been advised by my therapists to study M.A. in psychology as they feel that owing to my life's journey ( from victim / surviving to thriving ) I will be able to help others . I rate myself at 5.5 out of 10. I have a good sixth sense & a capacity to assess a situation - which has helped me despite my lesser knowledge of street smart ways .
Thankful for the therapists' faith in me . Thankful to your channel for helping me in tough times. I think everyone has his or her own capabilities which if utilised can help them . And also - one must keep one's eyes & ears open & ask for help / advise from the people who can help ❤🙏🏻

Very well put Mr Bhagat. Street smartness means being able to get things done and having a solution seeking mindset rather than cribbing about the problem. I realize being street smart can take someone (even with mediocre talent/qualification otherwise) places. But your video has reminded me the importance of it and has put this out in a very positive way.Thank you for that. Keep making these videos. They really help. Bro ya, it truly is very helpful, my father is like 10/10 street smart and I am like 3/10.
Once we were travelling in a remote location and the last bus had taken off 20 minutes earlier,
I panicked that now we have to travel 10 km by foot, but my dad just found out a taxi driver but unfortunately he was carrying other passengers and no seats were available.
I lost the last hope but then my father asked him to do something for us and call any taxi driver in his contact list, so he called and we get to the bus stand.

Personal charisma and communication skills matter more than street smartness.
Street smartness is more required for certain professions like lawyer, businesses etc. But not so much in others such as medical, scientist, etc.
Jugadu ability is more important. The ability to get things done under any circumstances.

    Observe environment
    Observe people
    Ovserve situation
    Learn social skills
    Learn differnt cultures
    Learn psychology.
Now once learnt it use it .
A highly street smart person may or may not be highly intelligent but he is more successful then a highly intelligent person .
Reason : He is string observar and manipulate and he knows how to use his resources (Optimization of resources )

I am partially street-smart, so it is very difficult to fool me. However, I feel afraid when getting things done, although I can manage them with low confidence. I am not street-smart when it comes to exploring opportunities like taking an internship and then rejecting it. For me, it's either I take it or I don't, but rejecting it is difficult because I fear they might sue me. I can manage to do everything, but I overthink too much about what could happen, which is bad because many people don't overthink-they just do it.
For example, I might avoid ordering food online because my brain will suggest that the train will only pause for 3 minutes, and I won't get my order on time. Or, if I step out of the train to get the food, I might miss the train.

I'm not :( all my life I kept scoring good marks and I thought it'll help me in getting ahead of everybody! But it doesn't! I never realised I had to be smart other than studies too and specially in sales, marketing, negotiations or target based work.
