As a time poor weekend warrior not able to fit in coached training, I get a lot out of your content! Just want to say thanks, and best of luck for UTMB. Ps, your content quality is 👌🏼
I've just had some success over the last three months with working in a threshold zone more so than in a harder zone. Sprinkle in some faster work to sharpen up and it seems to work pretty well. Proof will be in the pudding though...
@@lukewbarrett my apologies! Didnt remember when you put out the video on the nordas and didnt see them in the pile of hoka's! Are they still your top choice for Ultras? Running Tor330 this year and trying to figure out what shoes to use.
Yeah for sure! I races in tectons again a few months ago, more to help with some foot pain I sometimes get (the stuff carbon plate helps), but my foot is better and gee it feels nice to be running in the 001s again! So nimble and secure. Good luck at TOR! Huge!
@@lukewbarrett I actually love the Tectons but imho they dont have enough grip when/if it gets wet out or on steep technical terrain. If you like the norda 001's I think you would really like the La Sportiva Prodigios. Kinda a blend of the tectons and 001s.
After our chat the other day & now this video I think this interview might interest you… it’s long & specifically about zone 2 but Iñigo San Millan is very impressive on the physiology of training. th-cam.com/video/-6PDBVRkCKc/w-d-xo.html
That mustache is the business bru. Good luck in training!
Strictly business over here. 😂
Science of ultra podcast is a great resource
Thanks for the hot tip. I’ll check it out 🤙

Hahaha sometimes that’s all the energy I have left.

Thanks mate.
Hey Luke, love videos. What do those hard (20%) session look like?
You can see the specifics on Strava, but generally aiming for ~30mins at 160bpm, broken up into intervals of varying duration. Hope that helps!

I love pudding!
No more Norda's?
This was 12 months ago! Norda’s are firmly in the rotation now.
