FR97 Formula Renault. I clips the cone in the chicane which bent the front left push rod. didn't know it was bent till I tried to turn in the the next corner and the front of the car sat on the road.
Super quick car , and a great drive up to that point looked like it was going to be a quick run ...what motor is it in there ? and what are the stats weight, Horsepower etc ..? Thanks
ye, i was 1.5seconds up on my last run up to that point even with the bad start. its quick in its class, 2000cc 8vales , but not that quick compered to the open classes. its a 1997 formula Renault. 165bhp 500kg. nothing fancy
The BHP only defines how fast you hit the fence, it's the Torque defines how far you make it out the other side. Glad the driver and car were rebuildable.
Bent the front left push rod. I didnt know straight away, till I turned right for the next bend and the front sat down on the road. By the time I got on the brakes there wasnt much road left. Ye the tires didnt do much in saving the fence either.
Yeah, and people watching at home should be wrapped up in cotton wool to in case they fall off their chairs, armchair watching is a dangerous sport to these days. How a roll cage would have helped here is a mystery but hey maybe they should ban motorsports altogether and save lives hey!
" You cant park there Sir "
Your not supposed to mow the lawn !! Muttley !!!

I didn’t notice any hill.
@@jockellis hard to see In the video, the corse is up and down a bit, but the finish line is higher than the start.
Did you fix the fence?
I was there again last weekend the fence is fixed. I didn't fix it. Think the club that ran the event fixed it
What was the hp / & power to weight for the car .. Did you get any injury at all .?
power is 165BHP and the weight of the car is 500kg, no injury's at all. did take awhile it fix the car tho.

Clipped the rear with the chicane? Unlucky, hard to know if the bale was good or bad damage wise.

That’s very quick is the car ok
Yes just some bent suspension parts
That's why open cockpit cars without roll cages should not be allowed in racing events.
maybe, i might try a fit halo on it
LOL, same for motorbikes
@@TalkieT People who race motorcycles are nuts anyway.

@@matton36 Grow up clown. If I'm wrong, why did they develop the Halo?
Could be worse.
You call that a hill?
Ye sort of. The finish line is higher than the start so it's a hillclimb. Looks flat in the video
