There's an awful lot of straight right of way. There's a good distance between stations. What's the Maximum Allowable Speed between Ronkonkoma and the Hillside Maintenance Facility? If it's not 85-90, it sure seems like it ought to be.
It's 80 to confirm with FRA Class 4 track maintenance requirements. Anything above that speed would require excessive down time on the railroad crossings at maintenance that would probably operationally and cost prohibitive.
Actually if you think about it, you did show from Jamaica to Penn Station on the Babylon Branch. Essentially all you had to do was just film to Jamaica.
