When I used to attend the Final Four Monday night games I noticed how the players and their families especially watch One Shining Moment when it's played on the big screens post-game. It always happened after the nets were cut down and the trophies handed out, after all the confetti had settled and stadium workers were tearing down the stage. Tears in the eyes of everyone still out on the floor, young and old. Live OSM in the stadium is a special, shared emotional experience not many people talk about.
UConn is a perfect example of what Kentucky or North Carolina should be if they actually had real coaching and didn't rely solely on individual talent. When you bring together a group of kids who have been told their whole lives that they're the man and you don't teach them to play as a team it's destined for failure no matter how many 5 stars you have
So proud of my Wolfpack! 10th in the ACC yet made it to the Final Four! Never in my life did I think that I’d see them pull off a run like that, and while we didn’t win it all, it was so fun to watch. Rekindled my love of the game
as a north carolina fan, i enjoyed watching y’all this year, and DJ burnes is now one of my favorite players to watch! after all, y’all did beat duke 😂

As one of the teams who tasted victory early and then had our dreams of a deeper run absolutely bulldozed by this UConn team... what an utterly dominant basketball force these Huskies were.
Go Illini baby! I’m used to seeing them either going home early or getting eliminated in the 2nd round. I’m not used to seeing them in the Sweet 16 or Elite 8. Which hasn’t been done in 19 years. They did their best and that was a shining moment. I-L-L… I-N-I!!!

Oh well...at least he gets to play.

I just love March Madness. This is an amazing time and one of the greatest sports tournaments ever. Loved all of the excitement this year and the underdog upsets (YALE, NC STATE) and seeing UConn going B2B and we have another champion in New England. My first bracket I made was in 2015 and I picked Duke and Wisconsin to make it to the championship with Duke winning. As a 11 year old kid, that instigated my love for the game.

I’m happy about my Illini, An Elite 8 Appearance is nothing to joke about, and I’m still happy about that win against Iowa st, unfortunately our regional championship had to be against UConn, but the game should have been much closer than that!

Always hyped for One Shining Moment every year. I have to be critical of each one though and this one was pretty meh. Spent way too much time one the regional finals and not enough time on the rest of the field. I don't need to see the nets being cut down nor the names being smacked on the bracket. That's easy to remember. Memorialize the moments in the games that will get lost in time. Some of the previous ones were better.
