Man, I gotta figure out how to turn these live chats off by default. I will never understand whining about something you get to watch for free, while you continue to watch it. You all do a great job and put on a great show, so I'm not really sure what people are whining about in the first place.
Holy crap, the emotions in this round got me too! 😭💙😭 weve had our ups and downs, FD, but we still love you. Congrats James, no one else deserves it more. THE MACHIIIIIIIINE
Love you James, congrats. You could be easy champ in 20,21,22 if you could still drive with worthouse. Covid destroyed everything but you back, and like always on top. Big love
Sacrificing angle for proximity is not cool . Minowa and Olsen....... minowa pokes with weak angle in the pocket like shanahan. Try and mimick instead , shouldn't be rewarded !
Some cars are at such a different setup that it just isn’t possible, FD would have to make more strict guidelines. If One of these cars you’re talking about matched angle they would fall behind, I do wish we weren’t at this point in FD where it’s all about max grip and max hp - trying to outrun the chase driver so they can’t chase well
@lude-N-lopsided what are you talking about ? I'm talking about minowa , the kid that's driving at extreme angle in the lead and doesn't mimick at all in the chase .
@@jordangarneau8817 Two totally different styles /different set up’s. In Japan the drift scene is still very traditional and focuses more on big angle and style… lately, drifting here in USA has progressed in a way which drivers are chasing HP, Torque and high levels of grip. So if you can imagine, they are going to have very different car set ups within FDs guidelines
@@lude-N-lopsidednot the past 2 years he’s been like this for a while now I think and if I’m not correct the last time he broke out of top 32 was in 2021 and before that I don’t even know
Mohan is just not at the same level as the rest of the Pro drivers. Back when he ran the MX-5, everyone said the chassis was the issue and that he would be a beast in the RX-8, yet he still drives just as bad as he did back then.
@@NorwayVFX yea and the funny stuff is that he is looking great or doing better in the mx5 in hotpit autofest and there was a lot of people saying in the gram to bring it back
@@white_eazy_6958 yeah the rotary just isn’t gonna cut it when you see the torque , hp etc. being put out by these other cars. I don’t know much about Kyle but interesting he hasn’t changed things up by now
Feel like Thorne should have won that battle with Chris.. he clipped the back end and delayed his transition. Which pushed him further up and by the time he got it swung around. He was already going into the wall.
Olsen/Minowa battle in top 32 was bullshit. Minowa had hardly any angle the whole time but still got the win. And people wonder why we talk bad about these judges.
Why they destroyed all cars in practice 😅I'm lucky to see in live nice track irwindale I think the best but why they not use the one in Fontana🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
In honesty James Deane is one of the greatest drifters in history but he is not the greatest in history, he has never won a d1gp title neither a formula drift japan title or a d1nz title , the only way I would say James is the greatest is if there is an event where they have all of the top drifters right around the world compete in one event to see who is the best and the greatest in the world and I'm saying this as a big James Deane fan
i’m done with FD for awhile. between terrible calls and annoying commentary, i’m white-knuckling through hours, and for THIS? in what world does minowa beat olsen? proximity is nothing if you’re 30 degrees off the lead angle. 1:42:21
21:31 is when the video starts
Ty 👍

JD130!!! THE GOAT
1:10:42 clip of the year, that camera angle was sick watching Jones drag the whole zone
and Jarod’s annoying, talk less

Jesus christ Dan. I really want you to do well, how come the car is always all over the place.
I think he should change chassis, he is way better than this
He's always so categorically bad in the chase I just don't get why. He's super fluid up front.
Castro hit him and they both crashed into the wall in practice
@@Barry.ONeill oh ok thanks for info, good to know
How does Federico just about scrape out a lap even when he gets a bye run 😮💨
James Dean it's not only the driver the complete team but rockstar Toyota and feal team are great
Reece judgment was extremely good this round with his decisions.

Simon definitely won in my opinion he had one mistake in the lead but his entire chase was better

@@lude-N-lopsided no , minowa does drive at extreme angle in the lead , but cheats angle every time he chases .
I hate to say this but mohan needs new platform or go back to prospec

How do you still have a bye in top 32 😂
Can we get more screen time of other drivers and not Deane's girlfriend
Can we get rid of fredirico, him and Mohan live to clutter up the 32 and not much else. Don’t see them getting better ever
New interviewer is 1000x times better than lorette
Just kick already Sceriffo and Mohan...
Congrats to JD. Imo fd celebrating already just makes it feel pointless to keep watching the event, I get he won but do it at the end.
What happens to auri did he recked or why is James automatically champion?
It goes by points: once James made it to the line and got the points for making top 32 there was no way Odi could’ve gotten enough to pass him.
@@lude-N-lopsided yes I forgot he wast gonna catch up but I didn’t see a run from odi so thought he recked or something

Only way odi could’ve won championship was if James car broke down before top32 AND he would have to finish in 1st this round.
