Thank you Dr. Weiling, for this excellent video. I especially liked seeing the actual blood pressure response on the monitor.

Every year in marching band we had someone pass out from locking their knees for too long. We were on soft grass so there was more embarrassment than injury. This reminds me of the methods pilots who don't wear g-suits use.

Good video with good explanation!🤗. This helps me a little when I feel dizzy and feels like fainting. But I never faint. Instead I feel sick, begins to cold sweat and then get a cramping seizure in the head, similiar to an epileptic seizure. But I dont have epilepsi. This goes very quickly and I dont have time to do any excersise in this state. I also have high blodpressure instead of low. I have been diagnosed with POTS. Do you have any tips for this matter? Thank you un advance.

We wonder how long we have to squat to normalize BP pressure ...
Would sitting in a low foot-stool do the same effect ???

The squatting idea is interesting but maybe it is different if you're exercising or doing the movement repeatedly, we do a lot of bodyweight squats and burpees at Karate class and it is usually after these that I start to feel faint. The sensation usually only lasts for what is probably a few seconds but it is quite uncomfortable and a little bit scary (even as an adult who kind of understands what's happening). I might try staying in the squat position for a few seconds at the end of the set and see if that makes a difference; here's hoping... I've tried the other more common approaches like sitting with my head between my knees or leaning forward from the hips to get my head closer to the level of my heart but the effect isn't immediate and it still takes longer than I would like to feel o.k. again. Oddly enough, once the first episode has passed I can make it the rest of the class without a problem - maybe it just takes my system a little while to change from rest to active mode? Maybe...

There is study that was conducted related to this and the result was: if you keep moving you will not faint. www.syncopedia.org/post-exercise-vasovagal-syncope/
      Hopefully helps

Hyperventilation leads to dizziness..its a normal thing..while doing deep breaths do slowly..so that you don't hyperventilate..
