  • Dawn wants to know whether it is a big deal to not have listed a kid on a prior immigration application. They are considering filing an application for a green card for this “missing” kid and want to know what problems that this could cause.

This is interesting. I know of someone who has been here many years and recently went back to home country and was confronted by a woman he had a one night encounter with 16 years ago. She is claiming paternity. He's had no contact with her or child for entirety of time he has been in the US and is now a citizen. Is he obligated to fix papers for child? Child is 15. What are his obligations? He didn't know child existed and there are still questions as to paternity. He is from Honduras.

@@HackingImmigrationLawLLC Thank you for answering. I am not personally involved in the situation. It just seemed interesting to me because it was kind of in theme with the video. The gentleman in question is a work associate of my husband. I will pass your information on to him. I was personally just curious as it's an interesting situation. I think he's been a citizen for quite a while. Thanks again.

Hi. My F4 visa is pending . And my priority date is 11/29/2008. Years after my application was filled, i had a second child and got divorced. Should i notify NVC now or wait till my priority date to become current?

Do you have to mention a kid that you no longer have legal obligation to support. Like if you no longer have to pay child support for that child.
