An awesome video,🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟+, with brilliant drone footage, especially the footage of the cod being reeled in.😲 Some great tips and advice about all aspects of fishing that venue. 👏 Especially the safety.👏 I liked the tip about casting uptide and allowing the scent to find the fish.👍👏 As always, a video that holds you from start to finish. Oh, and a glorious sunrise.🌅. Happy birthday to your day. Hope you had a great weekend.🎂 Take care and stay safe.😷
Super video, I do love a bit of summer kelp fishing for cod. A complete 180 to winter fishing for them. The drone footage was excellent by the way. I know they weren’t designed for fishing purposes but it really adds another string to the bow to be able to see the features so clearly. Cheers
Cheers mate. Yeah it was close enough in for my gear to be up and out of the way but the time it went over it thankfully. Hope you’re well and getting amongst them👍
Another cracking video one of my favourite places to fish from years gone by trouble is now Newton by the sea is mobbed in the summer the bay used to be home to Bin lid flounders they used to be huge the boat fishing out of Newton used to outstanding unfortunately Neil Redfern the skipper doesn’t operate anymore two perfect kelpies them David 🎣tight lines👍
Enjoyable video, again, so different kelp fishing to were I live, predominately fish East Devon venues, with trips to Chesil and the Bristol Channel, not sure being an OAP I would have the strength to fish your venues. Ha Ha Go Steady. - keep the vids coming
Your absolutely killing it just now mate. Cant get enough of that, a bit slow in South East Scotland area just now but main crab peel in full force now so should pick up now. Keep them Kelpie vids coming.
Lovely fish mate, hope you went for a quick pint at the ship! Managed to get my first kelpie from the beacons the other evening, hopefully a good season ahead 🎣
Enjoying yr videos buddy , great insight into how to fish the Northumberland coast. Fish up that way on hols but still finding it difficult after 7 years as it’s completely different to my clean sandy beaches here in Essex. Was interested in seeing the codling full of crab , with our summer bass fishing they’re always absolutely crammed full with small hardbacks but use them as bait and they just don’t catch .
Cheers mate much appreciated. 🙏 Yeah it’s like that when we catch fresh run winter cod and they’re full of Sandeels. Put a sandeel on and you’ll get nothing. The summer cod are always caught on peeler, they go mad for them early season. Thanks very much for taking the time to comment, tight lines for your next outing 👍
Another great watch, especially as this is one of my favourite places on the planet. Do you ever fish around the headland around football bowl bay and into High Newton beach ?
I've had a tough session at Sutton on sea, loadsa weed north easterly in our face but all in all productive sessions, managed 2 turbot n me dad had Dover sole n 2 bass
Hi David Paul from Rochdale love the latest video, 2 good fish there , I'm a bit land locked love to live and fish by the coast, I mad sea angler get to fish as much as I can, recently fished drurage Bay and Warkworth beach did ok, probably your area tight lines look forward to future videos
Another cracking video Dave and what an absolutely beautiful morning! Was it too early for Gaz😉? It's always been a mystery to me why, when gutting fish, you invariably find hardback crabs, but we only ever use peelers and softies, even though hardbacks are more plentiful! I don't know any angler who has used and caught fish on hardback crabs! I wonder what your thoughts are on this? Thanks for another great video!
Cheers Kevin much appreciated 👍 I think as Kev says when they’re moving about the cod instinctively go for them. When the bait is static it’s the scent we rely on. Hope that helps and tight lines👍
???????????? They're trying to make a living mate, not have a day out away from home - wth ? That's like taking the family to the Toon and expecting everyone else not to go so you can get to the shops easier, what goes through your mind?

Enrages me when the lobster pots have been set so close to some well known marks, right across the front of your location.
???????????? They're trying to make a living mate, not have a day out away from home - wth ? That's like taking the family to the Toon and expecting everyone else not to go so you can get to the shops easier, what goes through your mind?
