Depression nearly finished me off!: Men NEED to talk about mental health!

- In this episode of the Mechanikal Music podcast, there are no artists to interview, there are no tracks to review, there are no demos to rate. This show is about something that has become not only an issue that has invaded my life, but is one of the biggest killers in young men today.
I wasn't sure if I wanted to open up about this or not but I after learning of the tragic passing of 2 friends, close to a colleague of mine within the Techno scene, I felt like it was time to let everyone know why Mechanikal stopped; why SKiRRA disappeared and what made me do it.
As I mention in the podcast, its a very sensitive subject and some might find it upsetting. But my focus is not to upset. My focus is to help others by reaching out and spreading the word that it's ok not to be OK!

Its all about choices. Ive had days where I genuinely believed it was my last day on earth. The reality is that it was a choice. I know how you are feeling and from one sufferer to another, I want you to know that you are amazing. If you can get through the pain, theres pure joy waiting for you beyond the walls of the depression. I don't pretend that I don't get bricked in by my mental health anymore. I accept that there are always going to be days/weeks/months...even sometimes years like last year. But you are stronger than it is. Big up yourself bruddah.
